Minerva Mcgonagall sat at the end of the long table in the Hogwarts Staff faculty room. On either side of her sat Dolores Umbridge, professor Aesop Sharp, Professor Abraham Ronen, Professor Karagawa, Professor Mirabel Garlick, Madame Sprout, Patricia Trelawney, Professor Mudiwa Onai, Professor Satyavati Shah and Professor Cuthbert Binns.
While Professor Eleazar Fig was already familiar with most of the unexplainable events that had recently occurred, however was away and his fellow professor had only just been informed by Mcgonagall.
Umbridge was the first to voice her disapproval.
"Headmistress we can not, we could have a crisis on our hands."
"That will not be a problem. I have full confidence Fig and get her up to speed" Mcgonagall replied.
"And how can you be certain of that? Are we simply going to let potter and his friends simply rejoin this year?" Professor Shah interjected.
"I quite agree," said the Karagawa. "This sort of thing is unprecedented, and it certainly will not make us look favorable to any other magical schools."
"We will be fine. None of this reflects poorly on us" Sharp replied.
"It reflects poorly on you as a headmistress. That, in turn, makes all of Hogwarts suffer," said the Umbridge.
"You have only been Headmistress for slightly over a year, and in my opinion, you have done an insufficient job of looking after our interests," Umbridge said accusingly.
Ronen interrupted her. "I object to that statement, and I believe you are making unfair judgements that have little to do with the situation at hand. Personally, I believe Mcgonagall can bring prosperity to Sodor. Bring us into a Morden age and help compete with the other schools."
Umbridge turned to Ronen.
"Oh really? I am being unfair, am I? According to you?"
Mcgonagall and Ronen's eyes briefly met. The charms Professor was the one to look away, a feeling of guilt forming in his mind.
Sharp turned to Sprout.
"Other then this new student coming, thanks to the death eaters most of out seven years last year was interrupted we must allow them to do another year."
"That is irrelevant to-"
"Irrelevant? You're being unreasonable'."
"That is enough," Mcgonagall declared. She stood up from her seat.
"Now unless you want to bicker some more this meeting is adjourned, professor's. You are all dismissed."
The professor's got up from their seats, all slowly filing out of the room. Garlik looked briefly at Mcgonagall , trying to wordlessly apologize to her before she stepped out the door.
Umbridge was the last member in the room. Before she left, she walked over to Mcgonagall . She stared at her with those callous eyes of her, and narrowed them.
"The Ministry will hear about this, you'll be gone soon,", she said in a harsh tone.
As she turned to leave,
"Excuse me?"
The professor's stopped and turned to see who it was, It was Trelawney's voice.
"What" Umbridge huffed
" How fucking dare you?" Trelawney snapped " the Ministry has changed since you were last here, your precious Fudge is gone, if you don't like how Mcgonagall runs this school then you can fuck off"
"Not likely I'm the Duty Headmistress" Umbridge replied
"And" Sharp said.
"What?"
"Well, I don't know a lot about this I just teach potions but for me Mcgonagall has done a pretty good job so far according to me" Sharp said
" Same " Trelawney said
"I agree to Potter and his fellow classmates taking the year over again and to this new student starting as a fifth year," said Sharp, Umbridge was stunned.
"What? You can't I'm the" Umbridge began but she was cut off
" Things change " Garlik said " it's a yes from me"
" Yes from me " Sprout said
" I say yes " Trelawney added.
" Yes" Ronen said.
" Yes" Karagawa said.
" Yes " Onai said.
" Yes" Shah said.
" Of course who are we to deny a student their education" Bins said
" Now see here's" Umbridge said.
Mcgonagall smiled. " Well seems like the majority says yes"
" Fine, but don't come crying to me when she fucks it all up" Umbridge said and she stormed out of the room. Sharp turned to Mcgonagall .
" She does know she's only teaching defence against the dark arts till Hecat arrives right" he asked.
" Yes, but I doubt she cares" Mcgonagall replied, " Now I must send owls to the students " she turned on her heel and headed towards her office.
