When Chandler reached the stone that marked the entrance to the common room, she gave the answer, "Phoenix feathers," and the portrait opened to permit her into the Gryffindor Common room. She stepped trough a painting and walked into a room of arching, white ceilings, red stained windows, red carpet floors, golden lamps, red sofas, and a fireplace that was currently unlit at the back of the room. Tapestries of Gryffindor hung from the walls and there were two archways, one leading to the girls' dorms and one leading to the boys'.

Chandler looked around before taking a seat in one of the red Armchairs.

Mac walked into a small area near the Kitchens, she walked up to the last giant barrel and taped in the tune of Helga Hufflepuff, the barrel creaked as it opened forming a doorway permitting her entrance to the Hufflepuff Common room. It was like something out of the lord of the rings. It was round it had round doorways like the shire, yellow windows, a fire place, Hufflepuff tapestries and plants growing up the pillars, yellow armchairs and sofas.

Mac yawned before she kept walking past other students to the dorm rooms, she was heading to bed.

When Duke and the other Slytherin students reached the stone that marked the entrance to the common room, Blaise gave the password, "bitis atropis," and the wall moved back to permit them into the Slytherin Dungeon. They walked down the stone passageway and stepped into a room of arching, black ceilings, stone floors, green rugs, emerald lamps, black sofas, and several fireplaces that were currently unlit. Tapestries of famous medieval Slytherins hung from the walls and black serpents had been carved into the tops of the pillars. At the back of the common room were two archways, one leading to the girls' dorms and one leading to the boys'.

A wide grin slipped onto Duke's face as she sat down in one the black armchairs. She faced her Slytherin friends and said, in her best croaky voice, "Welcome back to our evil lair. Here we shall do our plotting and begin our training to become dark wizards ."

Tracey sighed. "Someone's going to overhear you one day and actually believe you."

"Our reputation is already bad," Duke said. "What more can I do? If you want to blame someone, blame Pansy and Draco."

Tracey frowned. "What does Draco do?"

"You know."

She stared at her, her lips pursed in confusion.

"You know…he goes around calling people mudbloods and antagonizes Potter and stuff."

A wide, triumphant grin appeared on Tracey's face. "Now your talking about him."

Duke paused, and then it hit her. "Aw, pixie shite."

"You walked right in to that one," said Blaise.

A wicked grin spread across Nott's face. "But, we're just keeping up our Slytherin reputations."
