Natural Tonks
Remus and Tonks had been together for a while and they were staying with Andromeda and Ted until they could get a house together. One day, Remus was looking for something t read on the bookshelf when he found an old photograph album with pictures of Tonks in it.
He looked through the album, smiling at the pictures of her in her natural state without using her metamorphmagus powers and it made him wonder what she was like now in her natural form.
That night when Tonks got home from the Ministry, Remus asked her "What do you look like if you don't change your appearance?"
"Why do you ask?" Tonks asked, curious to know why her boyfriend wanted to know what she looked like before she morphed.
"I found a few pictures of you as a child and just wondered what you looked like now…" Remus replied.
"I'm not exactly good looking Remus… That's why I usually morph into something I'm not…" she replied, avoiding looking into his eyes.
"Tonks looks aren't important. The personality is more important than looks! I just wondered what you really looked like… I don't mind if you don't want to show me though."
"Its not that I don't want to Rem. I just don't want you to dislike the way I really look…"
"No matter what you look like you're still the same person Tonks."
"You really want to see what I look like then?"
"If you want to show me, yeah."
"Ok…" Tonks' body slowly changed. Her hair stayed roughly the same length but it changed colour to a cross between blonde and brown. Her body became slightly thinner and she became slightly shorter. Her eyes changed to a dark brown. She looked at Remus, wondering what he would say but he just stared at her. "This is the real me, Rem," she said.
"Wow," Remus replied, unable to take his eyes off her, "Why do you bother changing?"
Tonks was surprised that he liked the real her and said, "Well I'm not exactly pretty or anything Remus…"
"Tonks you're amazing!" Remus said, still trying to take in the sight of Tonks in her natural form.
Tonks blushed more, not expecting him to have actually liked the real her. She hugged him tightly and kissed him. "I love you Rem," she said, smiling at him.
Remus smiled back, "I love you too!" he laughed, hugging her back.
The front door of the house opened and Tonks turned back to the woman with bright pink hair that people normally saw and Remus looked almost disappointed.
