PREVIOUSLY-

As he hugged me tightly, he whispered to me, "Now you don't hesitate to call me if you need me. Day or night, work or not, I'll be here."

I pulled back with a smile. "Of course, Dad. I love you."

"Love you too, Bells."

Charlie got in his cruiser and drove off, leaving me standing outside looking at Jared.

"I didn't know you were planning all that about the game and flatscreen." I told him and he looked at me with a mischievous glint in his eye.

"I wanted it to be a surprise for you. I figured you'd like it if your dad had incentive to come down and hang out."

I practically launched myself into his arms and kissed him as I wrapped my arms around the back of his neck, only barely pulling away to thank him.

He lifted me and I wrapped my legs around his waist as he carried me inside and to the bedroom.

He laid me on the bed and climbed over top of me, leaning down to kiss me hungrily. He started kissing down my neck and I could feel the heat rising inside me.

I wanted more.

Out of nowhere, he stopped and rested his forehead against my collarbone, breathing heavily.

"Why'd you stop?" I asked him and he pushed himself off me, laying at my side and running his hands down his face in exasperation.

"Because I have duty in a few minutes…" He groaned before rolling on his side to look at me. "Does it help if I promise that we can absolutely continue tonight when we get home?"

I bit my lip and nodded enthusiastically before leaning down toward his ear and whispering, "We have to christen the house."

I could feel his shock and spike of lust as he rolled back onto his back and reached up, pulling at his hair as he groaned.

"You know how hard it is for me to leave when you say things like that, babe?" He nearly growled and I rolled over to where I was almost on top of him.

"You promised me that you'd make sure your pack duties were the same priority as me." I told him in a teasing tone.

"That promise is being very tested right now." He replied. His hands were still covering his eyes as I leaned down to kiss him softly.

"I promise I'll make it up to you." I kissed him again.

"Spirits babe, that doesn't help." He groaned again before opening his eyes, kissing me once more, and sitting up. "Alright, I need to take a quick cold shower now before I end up having Paul take over for me again."

"I thought you didn't feel the cold?" I asked him with a giggle and he looked almost shocked.

"Fuck. Regular shower it is, then. There's no way I can go over there as is." He said as he climbed out of the bed.

I could see why when he stood up. He pulled off his shirt and tossed it onto the bed. I laid back and bit my lip, appreciating him.

He walked over and bent over, kissing me again before going toward the bathroom door.

"Feel free to think about me." I whispered, hoping to get a reaction out of him. It worked.

"I'll be thinking about all the things I plan on doing to you later." He winked at me, and I blushed heavily as he went into the bathroom.

His shower was a short one and I could feel his excitement the whole time. His lust peaked and I knew what that meant. It made me excited that I could provoke such a reaction.

He walked out about a minute later, fixing his hair and I threw his shirt back at him.

"Feel better?" I asked him with a laugh.

"For now." He replied, chuckling. He pulled on his shirt and I stood up, walking over to him.

He brushed a piece of hair out of my face and placed a chaste kiss on my lips.

When he pulled away from me, he laughed. I knew it wasn't at me, but at something I couldn't hear with human ears.

"Let me guess, Paul is here?" I asked him curiously.

"Yeah, and he's telling me that if I don't drag my ass away from you now, I'll be late." He chuckled.

I laughed. "Then you better go."

He started heading toward the door of the bedroom and I noticed something.

"Jared."

He looked back at me with curiosity.

"Shoes," I stated with a giggle and he looked down at his feet before looking over where his shoes were laying. I knew that he practically never wore them anymore because he couldn't carry them as a wolf, but since he was on duty at the Clearwater's, he'd need them, just like the shirt.

"Thanks, babe. I'll see you in a little bit. Can you pick out something for me to wear to the service while I'm gone?" He asked and I nodded.

He left and I walked out to the living room where Paul was reclined on the couch with his legs up, drinking a Gatorade.

"Did you bring over your things?" I asked him as I sat down in the chair across from him.

"Yeah, I did. That piece of shit sperm donor didn't even bat an eyelash as I walked past him carrying my shit out." He replied and I frowned.

"Well, you're here now and we're both moved in." I told him with a smile. "Are you planning on coming with me and Jared to Port A tomorrow to pick out some furniture since it's your house now too?"

"Nah. Well technically yes, but I'll be wolfin' it. Someone's gotta keep watch." He said to me.

I somehow knew that he'd need that.

"You know, Jared said we're getting a flatscreen." I told him, watching as his eyes widened in excitement.

"Hell yes. Tell him I'll pay half if you guys can get an xbox too." He looked so excited that it immediately made my day even better.

"I'll make sure of it. So, are we going to help each other unpack while Jared is gone?" I asked him with a grin.

"Whatever you want to do. Any chance we can eat first? I'm about to starve."

"If you help me cook then sure." I laughed.

"I know how to eat, not cook." He chuckled as he stood up, helping me up too.

"Then I'll teach you."

"Alright. If the end result is food, I'll do it." We both laughed as we walked into the kitchen. "How about a PB and J?" He said wiggling his eyebrows in a teasing way. Once he saw my 'deer in headlights' look, he cracked up. "I'm just kidding, I promise."

I let out a breath and started laughing.

"I am so telling J about that later." Paul's joking was refreshing. "Don't worry B, only BFF thoughts from me. I just couldn't resist that when it was so wide open for the taking."

I shook my head, still chuckling at his antics. "Now that you've had your fun, what do you really want?"

He looked around the cabinets at all the new food we'd bought and finally decided what he wanted. Out of all the good food we now had… he wanted nachos.

I shook my head again and grabbed the hamburger meat out of the fridge. I showed him how to make it and afterwards he practically inhaled the nachos.

After, he helped me unpack what I'd brought and then I helped him unpack his things. I then picked out both Jared and Paul's outfits for the service. When everything was done, Paul and I sat back on the couch.

I sat in the corner seat and Paul decided to lay down across the whole couch, resting his feet in my lap.

"So tell me B, how are you handling things? I mean, your life took a whole 180 in one day." Paul asked me seriously and it only took me a moment to have an answer.

"It's hard to describe." I said to begin. "It doesn't feel like a day. It feels like I've known Jared, known both of you, for years. I mean, I've known you for a couple months, but it's different. Being with him is so easy. It feels like it's always been this way, that this is how it should be. It sounds strange, saying that, but that's just how it feels. I trust him fully. I trust you too. So, while my entire life has changed in the past 24 hours, I think it is and always will be the best thing that's ever happened to me." I replied to him with complete honesty from the bottom of my heart. "What about you, Paul? It's changed just as much for you as it has for me."

He chuckled and looked up at me. "Not quite as much. I mean, I didn't get an instant wife like J did." I shot him a look. "What? Just telling it like it is. So, what it's like for me is like before, my life centered around the pack. It's all I've had for the last year. But now it feels like I've got a new purpose. My imprint on you might not be romantic like J's, but everything else is basically the same. Maybe not as strong, but damn near close. I thought it would feel weird, needing to be so close to you all the time, but it doesn't. And the fact that you're so chill with things definitely helps. Not many people would just accept all of it right off. Then when you told me to move in, I honestly couldn't have been happier. Things are finally looking up for me."

I had tears in my eyes as he finished his answer. I couldn't help but scoot over, still under his legs, and lean sideways to hug his chest. It wasn't intimate in any romantic way, but it just felt right. He wrapped his arm around me, and I just laid there in peace for what I thought was a few minutes.

"Stealing my girl, Paul?" I blinked my eyes open and saw Jared standing there with a joking smile, looking down at us.

Apparently Paul must've fallen asleep, and maybe I had too.

"Don't blame me. She's a hugger and I was comfy as shit." Paul replied as I sat up, yawning.

Paul moved his legs off of me and Jared helped me to my feet, immediately pulling me into him and kissing me sweetly.

He leaned back and looked down at me. "Get everything unpacked?"

"Yep. Both of us. I also picked out both of your clothes for tonight. How were Leah and Seth?" I asked him curiously.

"Seth is cool. He's still understandably upset about his dad, but he's excited about being a wolf. Leah, on the other hand, is a nightmare. She doesn't want any part of it, and I don't think I've seen anyone as angry about something." He explained to me.

Paul replied before I got the chance to. "She's going to be hell to run with. I'm going to request to run with Embry from now on. I can't handle all of that in my head."

"I'm going to run with Sam because I can't deal with it either. Jake would rather run with Quil, and I can't run with you anymore except while Bella's at school. Sam will probably have her out of the game as much as possible anyways because she doesn't want to, and her thoughts would distract us." Jared responded to him. He then looked at me. "And no, babe, I promise it's not because she's a girl. It's because of the whole Sam/Emily thing and she's still not over it. It's a total train wreck in her head."

"Ah, I understand. That has to be really hard for her." I said to him. "Will Sam even let them go to the service tonight or will it be too dangerous?"

"He's letting them go. He wouldn't dare take that away from them, but all of us will be on guard the whole time. I'm not trying to be controlling at all, but I'm going to ask you and your dad to stand between me and Paul while we're there, just in case. We need to be able to get you out of the way quick of they look like they're about to phase. Emotions will be high tonight and any type of anger will cause a new wolf to phase without being able to control it." He replied to me seriously.

"Of course. I'd feel safer like that anyways. Jared, I trust both of your judgment, so I won't ever think you're trying to be controlling when you ask me to do something like that, I promise." I told him honestly and I could feel his relief over my words.

"You two better go ahead and sit back down because there's something I've been wanting the three of us to talk about." Paul stated.

A/N- uh oh! What do you think Paul wants to talk to them about? 0_0
