Another tid-bit for suburbs 1st challenge, and a tag to Frantic Romantic. This idea has been floating around in my head since I saw the episode.
Disclaimer: For the fourth time I do not own JONAS.
Joe is an Idiot
By From the End of Heaven
"Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love." – Jane Austen
Nick watched his brother leave Stella hanging, he turned and walked away in disgust. He shook his head; Joe unquestionably screwed up that opportunity. Nick had set up a perfect moment for Joe to share his true feelings, and he wimped out.
Pa-the-tic
In that moment Nick swore to himself that he wouldn't be like Joe when it came to love.
Stella should know that she's appreciated by us. Nick thought.
Nick turned back heading towards Stella. "Stella!" He called out when she was in view. She turned to the direction of his voice, her eyes spoke of a tumult of confused emotions. He couldn't blame her, with all the mixed signals Joe was sending her. She tipped her head in acknowledgment; Nick had the suspicion that she didn't trust her voice.
"Stella, I'm sorry Joe is being so incredibly dense." He apologized when he reached her.
She smiled weakly at this, and then cast her eyes down, she said nothing.
"Stella, I love how you throw yourself into your work" He blurted into the silence. Her eyes trailed back up to his face
"You are so passionate about it and you work hard at it." His voice was earnest
Stella's face was unreadable.
"I love what a true friend you are. Not just to us- but to all your friends. You are so willing to help even if it compromises your comfort or convenience."
Her face had softened a smile creeping across her face- Nick continued
"I love how patiently you deal with my brothers and I. I particularly love when you give us –especially Joe- a tough time." He spoke with a grin. "It just shows what good friends we are, and how comfortable we are with each other." He paused "Stella, I honestly don't know what we would do without you or our friendship."
Stella could hold it in no longer. She stepped towards Nick wrapping him up in a hug. Nick smiled into her hair and his arms encircled around her reciprocating her embrace.
Joe is such an idiot.
