"And they lived happily ever after! The end. " Juliet closed the book titled 'Peter Pan' and smiled cheerfully up and six-year-old Artemis. His mother, who was next to him, beamed proudly after having read Artemis an entire storybook. However, Artemis simply yawned, boredom written all over his face.
"What's the matter?" Juliet frowned, "Were we boring you?"
Angeline sighed, "Maybe it was the book itself, Juliet. It never struck me that Artemis wouldn't fancy a story about a never-growing boy and his adventures in a strange land with strange things."
Little Artemis nodded. "Sorry mother, but that story was terribly boring,"
Angeline smiled this time and ruffled Artemis' hair, glad that she had at least tried reading to him and spending time with her son. "Juliet, I think the roses are a little withered. Shall we go do some gardening?" And with that, the two of them exited, leaving Artemis alone in his room. He lay back on his bed and closed his eyes. Boys who never grow up...pirates...fairy dust that can make you fly...fairies. He gave a little snort. As if they exist.
