Everyone smiled and looked at Ted as he stood up and got their attention. It was time for his toast. Cameras started flashing and videos started rolling as Schmosby begins his speech.

"We are all gathered here today to celebrate the greatest day of Robin and Barney's lives. The life of two people who have gone into so many obstacles. The life of two people who never believed in destiny and fate but are here now due to those things. A year ago I almost stopped believing in destiny myself, but a close friend of mine made me believe again. That friend told me that I should believe in chemistry. She said that if I believed in chemistry I just needed another thing, and that was timing but, as she quoted, timing's a bitch. At that moment I knew something was up. I knew that she wasn't trying to convince me. She was trying to convince herself. She tried to convince herself that maybe just maybe fate was on her side. Day by day I see her look into his eyes. Now this he I'm talking about was the craziest person I've ever met. I remember the first time we met he told me that he was going to teach me how to live. And right now, I want to say, he did. But it wasn't because of those crazy adventures and successful conquests. It was because of those moments where you could see this other side of him. The moment that you see the true reason why he does all those stupid adventures and why he hits on all those bimbos and skanks. But what he taught me the most was what true love feels like. They both taught me that. Three years ago they started dating, it was the wildest time of their lives. They eventually broke up but their feelings stayed the same. Being with other people, it made them think of one another more. And when the time came, they couldn't take it anymore. They stopped pretending and went through a lot of obstacles to get back together. I was there to witness it. All of it. Now, what I want them to know is I am ready to witness a new chapter of their lives. Because they're my best friends. And no matter what happens I would be there for them both. And I wish them the best. "

Ted then had an emotional breakdown but for the first time, he didn't hear the people laugh at him. He heard them applauding. Lily, Marshall, Robin, and Barney went to him and gave him a hug. "That was great, Ted. Thank you." Robin said with gratitude holding Barney's hand in one hand and the other on Ted's shoulder. "It's time for the newly wed's first dance." Lily announced. "May I?" Barney held out his hand and bowed dramatically. Robin smiled and accepted. Ted watched as his friends danced in the middle of the dance floor. Marshall and Lily had joined in too. He smiled to himself and sighed. "Well, Ted Mosby, it looks like you're forever alone." He whispered to himself. "Hey, you must be Ted?" a voice from behind startled Ted. "Oh, sorry." A girl with tantalizing green eyes said with an apologetic face. "No, it's okay. Yes, I am Ted Mosby" Ted held out his hand for a handshake. "Hi, I'm Carly... Carly Whittaker." Carly shook Ted's hand. At that moment he felt something electrocute him. It was a spark. Ever since that moment he knew that he has found the one. This time, it really was the one. "And that is how I met your mother!" Future Ted concluded his story he was telling his children only to find that they have already fallen asleep. He put a blanket on his kids and closed the lights. "Someday you'll find someone for you, too, kids." He said in a whisper.

End :)
