Both Annabeth and Percy were eating at a famous fast food restaurant that specialized in the delicious art of fried chicken. They were eating their newly bought food with vigor at one of the tables. Annabeth eagerly nibbled her drumstick and raised her eyes to look at Percy. She grimaced when she saw chicken grease dripping down his chin.

"Hey, seaweed brain, there's oily grease all over your chin," Annabeth remarked in disgust.

"Huh? Really?" One of Percy's hands reached up to touch his jaw. Once he felt something slippery on the lower part of his face, he winced. "Ugh, you're right."

"Here, I'll clean it off of you," Annabeth said. She searched the table and grabbed a napkin. She wiggled a finger at him. "Come here."

Percy gaped. "What? People are going to see us!"

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "I'm just cleaning something off your face, since when was that a crime?"

He sighed. "Fine." Percy reluctantly leaned his head forward. She stood up from her seat and moved towards him. Annabeth held his face with one hand and dabbed his chin with the napkin.

After she was finished, she surveyed her handiwork and nodded in approval. "There."

When she didn't relinquish her hold on his face, Percy squirmed in his seat. "Uh, Annabeth, if you're done, can you let go? You're a tiny bit too close."

She felt a bit bold right now, too. She grinned. "Hmm? Am I now?" Percy didn't miss the mischievous glint in her eyes.

His eyes widened to large saucers when she pressed her lips to his. Worries about people watching flew out the window. Giving in, he kissed back. They continued to mold their lips together for a few moments before they stopped when Annabeth moved back.

Both their cheeks were flushed as they stared at each other. It was obvious that they enjoyed their little make out scene, but they were also heavily embarrassed that they did so in public.

Percy was the first to speak, looking sheepish. "Well, that's embarrassing."

Annabeth blushed, but she shyly smirked at him. "Your fault for getting chicken grease on yourself."
