'Sorry for the longggggggggg delay! But I'll try to update sooner now!
Harry and James walked down the dimly lit hallway not saying a word but James clearly beaming with pride at his son. Harry looked up at his father who tried to hide it but burst out with a huge smile that harry quickly returned.
They reached the end of the hallway and stepped into an empty elevator, they pasted through floors one through three until they reached floor four, Spell Damage. The two pushed through the large double doors and took a sharp left to a door that read Permanent Damage, which the two also pushed on through.
What greeted them surprised the two of them greatly but in a way it was pleasant.
Standing there was 6 year old Neville Longbottem and his Gran.
"Ahh, hello James" Said the older woman as she saw who had just walked through the door.
"Hello, Harry and I were just-"
"Yes, I do hope she's alright, Frank and Alice are as clueless as ever but they're well, I guess. I'll leave you to it now, come on Neville!" she called as the two left.
"Who was that dad?" questioned Harry as the two walked towards the end of the beds.
"I'll tell you later" Said James without as much looking down, as they had reached the desired bed.
"Lily, my dear, my sweet Lily." Sobbed James into the arm of the woman lying unconscious.
As James cried comforting Lily, Harry launched into a full scale account of what had happened to the two of them since their last visit.
The two stayed there for hours and hour and hours, and well after they were the last visitors, James finally announced they needed to leave. Ten minutes later they were back on the broom soaring home, which also did not take long at all.
Harry was sent straight to bed for it was extremely late. But James did something else, he got a certain piece of parchment he read twice a month from underneath his bed and took it down by his chair and begin to read.
Voldemort defeated at last
Last night on Halloween he-who-must-not-be-named went to Godrics Hallow planning on killing James, Lily, and Harry Potter for unknown reasons. However something happened in Godrics Hallow that had never happened, someone survived the killing curse. Not one but two. You-know-who shot a curse at Lily and after presuming she was dead shot another one at Harry, but Lily protected him with what she thought was her life, and the curse rebounded and hit back at him. Lily Potter is currently in a comma at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. Healers are unsure whether this comma is permanent or not but they are sure she will be in this state for quite a while. Close friends of the Potters Remus Lupin and Sirius Black were extremely distraught but also quite angry for Peter Petigrew who was believed by James to also be his best friend was their secret-keeper at the time and thus he was the one who betrayed the Potters.
James slammed the paper down he couldn't stand to read anymore, six years and he still couldn't believe he had lost his wife at the betrayal of Peter. He tried not to think about that night, about what he could have doneā¦
Not a day goes by that he doesn't regret leaving to go get that stupid broomstick!
As he thought about these painful memories he couldn't help but slip back to that night..
"Now you stay here, I'll go get your broom!" He said cheerfully for why not be cheerful?
He searched all over Harry's room but he couldn't find that dang broom! He could hear voices downstairs, and it made him smile, Lily had been trying to get him to say his first words.
"Ah, here's that sucker" He exclaimed as he grabbed it and ran down the stairs.
He laughed at the scene before him Lily was laying on the floor obviously for the amusement for Harry.
"Come on Lily pad I got the broom! It was In Harr- Lily com on get up! It's not funny, LILY!" now almost shouting James went over to her, and stumbled back choking sobs, Lily had her eyes wide open and was ghostly cold, tell tale signs of the killing curse.
"What happened Lily" cried James as he noticed Harry standing in his crib perfectly fine.
James was unable to control his sobs as he layed down clutching Lily, when he noticed something, Lily was mumbling!
He had taken her to St. Mungo's immediately as I turned out her desire to love and protect Harry had given her strength as well. They were able to extract the memory from Lily and could only hypnotize about his attempt on Harry.
James sighed a heavy sigh and clicked off his lamp and went up to bed.
