This is a sequel to "Happier Endings". A prelude of their first meeting, after they decided to get back together. This won't be a multi-chapter story, but I'll surely do at least a couple of encounters, preceding their wedding. Rogan. Post Season 7.
"So, what do you think about a May wedding?" Rory asked him over the phone.
Logan couldn't help but smile. Rory had been in England for 3 days, and he already missed her like crazy. Since she decided to take that offer to be assistant managing editor for the British magazine their relationship changed for the better, after he talked her out of getting married in two weeks. He knew she was scared to be apart from him, but he promised her he wasn't going anywhere.
"Well, good morning to you too, gorgeous. How are you?" Logan asked, smirking. He knew that both his mother and her grandmother were driving her crazy, trying to set a date for the wedding.
"I don't have time to exchange pleasantries. I have a meeting in 13 minutes, and you mother left 18 messages on my phone in two days. Two days Logan!" She whined. She hated this pressure, and she hated even more the fact that she had no way to release it, because Logan was still in the States, finishing up some business before he could take a 2 week vacation to join her in England.
"Well, did she at least bid you a good morning when she called?" He teased her. "Because, you know, that's the polite thing to do when you call someone. If you were nice to me, I'd remember to reciprocate the feeling and help you get rid of this wedding planning tension. In a week. Or over the phone, when you're not heading for a meeting."
Rory closed her eyes and sighed. It's been three days, and she was not sure if she'd survive another 4 or 5 days without him. What the hell happened to my self-control? She thought. They used to go two or three more times without being able to see each other, or talk on the phone without being interrupted. But since they decided to set a date for the wedding, she was on the edge. All the freaking time.
"Hey, you're the one who should be nice to me. I swear if your mother calls me one more time, I'm calling of the wedding and getting married in Vegas." She huffed, trying to disguise the fact that she was suddenly very, very horny.
"Just say the word, babe, and I'll be sure to get you on the next available flight to Nevada." Logan answered in a low voice. He could hear in her voice what she was thinking about. And if she hadn't that bloody meeting in 6 or 7 minutes, he would totally change the direction of this conversation. "If we decide that eloping is not on the agenda, we could at least treat ourselves to a night of debauchery. Not that our wedding night would be very far from it, even in Vegas."
"What happened to the no rushing thing?" She asked, calming down a little. "I wanted to get married like a month ago..." And spend at least a week in bed, doing wicked things to you, in our honey moon... She thought, but decided to keep quiet, otherwise, she'd never get to that meeting.
"No, babe, you were just scared! I'm sure you didn't want to plan a wedding in less than 45 days. But, hey, I'd love a May wedding. Lot's of flowers, light dresses, warm nights... I hear Paris is very nice in the spring..." Logan said, trying to change the subject.
"Wow, it seems you've thought about everything. I should text your mother and tell her that you have it all figured out," Rory joked. "But I do love the idea of Paris in the spring."
"At least it's one less thing to think about." Logan smiled.
He marveled at the feeling that he could still calm her down, even an ocean apart. He knew he was the one to suggest waiting until she was back from England to get married, mainly because he knew it was important to her. He couldn't wait to be married to her. Hell, they'd be already married for some time, it it was up to him. But he could wait. He shuddered just thinking about what could had happened if he hadn't came to his senses when she failed to accept his proposal right on the spot. He couldn't imagine a lifetime without her. He didn't know how he survived not seeing her from weeks, but thankfully that was all in the past. She quit the campaign trail to be with him, and they were getting married. Possibly in the spring. That's it, if their families didn't drive her crazy before it.
"But seriously. Can you talk to her? I'm starting to dread my ring tone. I almost threw my phone through the window today. The guys must think I'm crazy." She said, looking at her watch, and seeing that her meeting was about to start.
"I'll try, but she's just exited about it." Logan teased.
"I think I liked it better when she hated me..." Rory pouted.
A/N - I'm sorry for the short chapter. I've been wanting to update this for a while, and first I had no time, than no inspiration... But I hope you'll like it. Better than nothing, right?
