"Wait what?!" the baby dragon yelled out. "Here? As in…here in Ponyville?! Let me see that" he then snatched the letter from Twilight who still had that stupid smile on her face. Spike started reading the letter; he as well couldn't believe what it said. He read it again, and again, and again until he realized that this was really what was written.

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

Right now you may be thinking that this letter is from Princess Celestia, well…you're wrong. It's me Twi, your old friend Stencilella. You remember me right? Tiny filly, cool lavender mane, weird color changing eyes…ringing any belles? Of course it is, you have like some sort of photographic memory or something. Yeah I bet your eyes are popping out of your head right now. Can't believe it can ya? And I don't blame you either, since I was kind a MIA for like, I don't know…a decade? And if you don't believe that it's me writing then you're absolutely not going to comprehend this, I'm moving here. Ha-ha, imagine I left it like that? Oh man I wish I could see the look on your face! Anyway, back on topic. I am going to live right here in Ponyville. Where you might ask? You ever seen that cute little art studio that's a few blocks down from the library? That's where I going ta live, hey we're going to be neighbors! I can't wait to see you again. Oh and spike too! How's he doing? Bet he's reading this letter right now…HIYA SPIKE! And don't forget to tell your friends too, Tia's told me all about them. Don't worry its all positive things. See ya soon!

You're M.B.P.F.I.H (most best pony friend in history), Stencilella

P.S Twi, do me a huge favor and please don't tell anypony that I'm a Princess, please. If you do I swear Sparkle…

"This is a joke, right Twilight? There is no way that she is coming here, uh Twilight…are you okay?" Spike asked as he noticed that the unicorn was facing some other direction looking at something. "Whatcha lookin' at?" he stood next to her to try to see just what it was that had the mare's attention.

"Look Spike" she said in a hushed voice "over there, do you see it?" The dragon looked in the direction she was pointing at.

"You mean Lyra and Bon-Bon making out? Yeah I see that all the time, kinda gross though with their tongues in each other's mouths like that."

"Ugh, no Spike not that." She said while rolling her eyes "that!" Spike looked up a little and saw a building that he had never seen before. "How long has that been there?" he questioned. "I don't know" she told him while shrugging "but I do know one thing, it must be the art studio that Stella was referring to."

"How do you know?" Spike asked.

"Well that's simple." She started "in the letter she stated that it was just a few blocks away from the library, that and the fact that it has a gigantic paintbrush on the top tells me it must be the art studio.

"Oh, yeah…that makes sense."

Then without warning, Twilight turned around and ran inside the library and slammed the door shut, causing the CMC to stop what they were doing and turn their heads in the direction it came from. "Uh, Spike" Applebloom said while walking to the confused baby dragon "is Twi okay?" she added and tilted her head to the side a little. "Huh, oh uh yeah yeah she's fine she just, um, forgot something. Be right back" he said as he turned around and went inside the library, closing the door softer than Twilight did. Applebloom just stood there for a second, curious as to what's going on. "Hey Applebloom! Are ya just gunna stand there like that or are we gunna get are cutie marks in gymnastics like Sweetie Belle suggested?" Scootaloo called out to her friend. "Okay ah'm commin' stop yelling at me." The filly called trotting back to her friends.

"Hey Twilight! Why did you run in here?" Spike questioned when he entered the library. When he did he found Twilight levitating a big scrapbook in front of her face. "I didn't know you were into scrapbooking, isn't that kind of stuff lame?" Spike said while scratching his head. Twilight in turn glared at him "no Spike it is not lame, and I don't scrapbook. Stencilella did." She said the last part silently but it was still audible to her #1 assistant. He slowly walked up to her and put a comforting claw around her neck. Twilight lowered the book down a little so that he could see the pages. The first thing he noticed was that it was colorful, very colorful. Yet it wasn't to the point of just random colors littered around, it was almost if the creator wanted it to be big and bold, but not too big and bold, as if she wanted it to be exciting with all sorts of cool things, but not to the point where it's too much. 'Yep, totally made by Stencilella alright' Spike thought as they flipped through the pages looking at old memories. One picture featured two fillies with big toothy smiles. One of the ponies had her hoof around the others neck while she had her small wing around the slightly larger unicorn.

'She was always smaller than I was' thought Twilight 'I wonder how much she's grown…'. Another picture showed the same two fillies, but this time they were both wearing costumes. One was dressed up as a bunny rabbit while the other was a little nurse, who was pointing at the blushing bunny and laughing.

'We always had fun on Nightmare Night, I wonder what she did with that bunny costume' she thought again smiling at her friend in the picture. 'She did look really cute'. A few pictures consisted of the two fillies playing in the snow, either making snow ponies to having snow fights. One even showed the girls catching snowflakes on their tongues.

"Hey Twilight, who's that pony that's playing with you and Stencilella?" Spike asked pointing at the picture.

"Who?" Twilight responded looking down at the page.

"That one" he said tapping his claw on this pony that had jumped in the air to avoid being hit by a flying Stencilella.

"Oh" she said while trying to surpassing a giggle. "That would be Butter Scotch Nova."

"Butter Scotch who-ha?" the dragon asked while shooting the mare a curious glance. She started flipping through the pages of the book until she landed on the one she was looking for. The page only had two pictures on it; on the left side were three fillies-Twilight, Stencilella, and Butter Scotch Nova-while on the right side it was a sole picture of Butter Scotch smirking at the camera. She was an earth pony with sandy blond mane and a light chocolate coat with chocolate eyes to match.

"She was an old friend of ours, actually more of Stella's than mine. She introduced us to each other one summer and since then we've all been real good friends." Twilight smiled broadly.

"Then how come I don't remember her?" Spike asked.

Twilight thought for a moment. 'Why does he not remember her?' She shrugged "I really don't know, perhaps it's because unlike Stencilella, who would come to see us all the time, it was reversed. And we would come to see her, and occasionally she would come to see Stencil." Spike looked at the picture and concentrated hard at it, squinting his eyes and sticking his tongue out, trying to remember if he ever saw a pony like that.

"Is she the one who would never lie and said she would always stay to our side no matter what?" he questioned.

"Yes, why? Are you starting to remember her?"

"I…I think so"

Twilight smiled at him and turned to the next page of the scrapbook. "Here" she said. "Maybe this picture will jog your memory" and pointed at a picture with Butter Scotch Nova holding a baby dragon in her hooves, looking as if she had just won the lottery.

"Hey! That's me!" Spike exclaimed. "Now I remember her…but, I thought her name was Butter Nova." He tapped a claw on his chin and looked at Twilight, waiting for an answer.

"When you were that age for some odd reason you couldn't pronounce the word Scotch no matter how many times I went over it with you. Since she had Scotch in her name she let you just call her Butter Nova. It was actually pretty adorable."

"Doesn't sound adorable to me" Spike said, slightly annoyed. Twilight chuckled and shook her head at him. "What's so funny?" Spike demanded. "Oh, nothing" Twilight absentmindedly said and flipped a few pages. "Yeah it better be nothing" he mumbled.

Finally Twilight shut the book, startling Spike in doing so. She gave the dragon an apologetic smile and put the book down on her desk. "Well Spike" Twilight started "apparently she really is coming, otherwise I would have gotten a letter explaining that it was just a joke or whatnot." Spike nodded his head and for a while they were both silent, neither of them knowing what to say. Finally Spike looked up at Twilight "so…when are we going to tell everypony?" Twilight looked back at him, thinking about the question she was asked. "Hmm, I suppose we should tell them now" she paused to think for a minute then smiled. "That way all of us would be able to give her a big welcome!" she said happily. She looked down at the dragon again "who should we visit first?" she asked though she knew the answer was already quite clear. "RARITY! We should go tell her first" he yelled jumping on the unicorn's back, who was currently smiling while rolling her eyes at him. "Okay Spike, let's go" she said walking out the library.

She trotted up to the Cutie mark crusaders, who were currently attempting cartwheels, and stopped next to Sweetie Belle. "Sweetie Belle, we're going to pay Rarity a visit, do you want to come too?"

"Sure!" the little filly squeaked "can Applebloom and Scootaloo come with us?" she then questioned turning back to her friends. "I don't see why not" Twilight answered.

"YAY, WE'RE GOING TO RARITY'S HOUSE" Applebloom and Sweetie Belle cheered.

"Do we really have to go to the Boutique?" Scootaloo complained then groaned "last time we went there Rarity made us model ALL her dresses that were meant for filly's. It was so un-cool."

"Hey! That's my sister you're talking about" Sweetie replied glaring at Scootaloo.

"It's not my fault your sister's lame" Scootaloo responded

"What!?" Sweetie squeaked and raised an eyebrow.

"You heard me"

"Girls, girls please…no fighting." Twilight said and separated the two before the hooves started flying. "Now apologize."

"But Twilight-" Scootaloo started before she got cut off by Twilight stomping her hoof. She sighed then grumbled something that could have only meant 'I'm sorry'.

"Me too" Sweetie Belle said, but obviously didn't mean. Twilight was about to lecture on about how that wasn't an efficient apology and that good friends don't fight over such silly things before she felt Spike tapping on her head impatiently.

"Come on Twilight hurry up lets go let's go!" the baby dragon said while pulling on her mane.

"Jeez Spike…cant you be patient for one moment?" The dragon didn't answer; instead he crossed his arms and pouted. The unicorn just rolled her eyes at him and began walking to Rarity's house, with the three filly's following her. Upon their arrival she noticed a note on the door.

"Doesn't look like she's home" Applebloom commented. "What's the note here say Twilight?"

Twilight took the little note, cleared her throat, and read it to the others. "To Whom It May Concern, if you wish to seek my presence I am sorry to say that I am currently at the spa for some much needed care. If it is something important and you urgently need me then you can wait here till 8:30. Sorry for this inconvenience. Yours truly, Rarity." Twilight finished then looked at the four sets of eyes that were on her.

"We have to wait until 8:30!" Spike exaggerated "that's like…six hours!" the three fillies giggled at Spike while Twilight just shook her head.

"Spike, it's not that long of a wait, you'll be fine. In the meantime, let's go visit some of our other friends. Just as Twilight finished speaking, Pinkie Pie bounced up in front of them seemingly out of nowhere.

"Go visit some of our other friends for what Twilight" the mare asked, rather quickly, tilting her head to the side.

"Gah, Pinkie!" Twilight yelled nearly knocking Spike to the floor. "What have I told you about sneaking up on ponies?" The pink mare thought about this for a moment before responding.

"…to not do it?"

"Exactly!" Twilight said while pointing a hoof at Pinkie.

"Whoopsies, sorry Twilight. I guess I got kinda excited because I saw you here with Spike and Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo and it looked like you were going to Rarity's for some reason." She said in one breath. "But then I remembered that Rarity had gone to the spa and she wouldn't be back for a while so I was going to tell you that but I guess you already found that out since Spike had a frowny pouty face." She then pouted to match his earlier expression before giggling and continued to ramble on. "So I was just going up to say hi before I heard Twilight say in the meantime let's go visit some of our other friends so I thought in my head hmm, I wonder what Twilight means by that. So I came up to ask but I guess I kinda scared you a little, didn't I?" before anypony could answer her it seemed like her whole face lit up. "Wait…I'm here! Do you need something? Are we going out someplace? Huh Twilight are we are we? Because we all haven't done something together in a loooong time, like, a week or something." Twilight was about to answer until Pinkie started talking again. "Oh, oh, oh! Or are we going to have a party?! That would be so much fun!" she gasped quite loudly and her eyes went wide. "We need to tell the girls right now!" Pinkie then turned around to run but Twilight grabbed her tail so she wouldn't get anywhere.

"Pinkie…" she started out slowly "there is no party or some get together we always have."

"Aww, but-"

Twilight put a hoof to her mouth to shut her up then continued speaking. "No Pinkie, listen to me first. My best friend from Canterlot is coming here to Ponyville and I want her to meet all of you so that she can feel a little more welcome. She's already heard a lot about you and is pretty excited to be living here." She then unplugged her hoof from the mare's mouth and waited for her friend to respond, which didn't take long.

"Wow Twilight! Your bestest friend from Canterlot? I can't wait to meet her. Do you know when she'll be coming? Please say soon please say soon" Pinkie squealed while bouncing from side to side. The lavender unicorn chuckled.

"Well actually I don't know when she will be here. Could be today or tomorrow or even a few days. Pinkie immediately stopped bouncing midair and nearly shouted.

"A few days!? I can't wait that long. Why don't you just ask her or something?" Twilight rolled her eyes at Pinkie's exaggerating and looked at her.

"How am I going to ask her when she's coming?"

"Duh silly! Just sent Princess Celestia a letter saying that you got the letter and ask her when your friend will be here!" Pinkie said and smiled widely.

"Huh, why didn't I think of that" she said turning to Spike who just shrugged his shoulders and turned to Pinkie Pie.

"Say Pinkie, how did you know that we got a letter and it was sent by Princess Celestia?" the dragon asked.

Pinkie simply shrugged before replying "just a hunch, I mean how else would she tell you? Regular mail? That would take forever!" she rolled her whole head with her eyes and pronounced each syllable in 'forever'. The four ponies and Spike just stared at her for a few moments before she started talking again. "And since she's your friend that automatically makes her my friend." Pinkie proudly said before her eyes got wide and she gasped again. "Oh Twilight I just have to throw her a party! A welcome to Ponyville…uh, what's her name?" she asked turning to Twilight.

"Stencilella, but you could call her Stella or Stencil…she loves it when ponies give her nicknames" Twilight answered smiling, looking back to her thoughts.

Pinkie nodded and put her hooves in the air, imagining a big hanging banner. "Welcome to Ponyville Twilight's Bestest Friend Stelly. How's that sound?" Spike and Twilights eyes went wide with fear and they shook their head vigorously.

"Huh? Why not?" Pinkie asked with a confused look in addition to tilting her head to the side.

"Uh you see Pinkie; she really really doesn't like being called Stelly." Twilight said nervously.

"Why? Stelly's a cutesy name." Pinkie said and wrinkled her nose. "We should call her Stelly welly cutesy belly, well actually I've never seen her belly but I bet it's a cute one!"

"Pinkie Pie, call her that and she may just punch you in the face" Twilight said deadpanned.

Spike nodded and said "yeah she has short temper and really hates being called that."

"How come?"

Spike waved his claw in the air and looked upwards to think for a second. "Uh, I think it's because her dad would always-"

"SPIKE!" Twilight shouted and covered the baby dragon's face to keep him from talking. "I'm sure Stencilella doesn't want ponies to know about that." She then got closer and whispered "you know how she looked and felt whenever she remembers what she went through, she barely spoke and never told anypony what was going on. I had to ask Princess Celestia what was wrong, just to find out she barely knew herself." Spike nodded remembering, even if he was less than a year old.

Pinkie sighed and had a disappointed look on her face, which brightened up a few seconds later. "Well that's okay, I'll eventually find out anyway" she said while shrugging. "In the meantime I got a party plan, a Welcome to Ponyville Stencilella party!" she bounced around for a little while before she turned and hopped away. "See ya Twi!"

"Wait, Pinkie Pie!" but the mare was already gone, giggling about how much fun they were going to have at her party. Twilight sighed and looked at Spike "well…where to next?"

"The Spa?"

"No"
