Pit ran into the main room of Palutena's Temple, where the goddess herself was waiting for him.
"Wow, Pit. I didn't think that you could run that fast," Palutena remarked. "Isn't the training ground on the other end of my temple?"
"Well, yes Lady Palutena, but you said it was an emergency and I may have used a Speed Boost power inside the temple…" Pit replied.
Palutena sighed. "Pit, you know what happens when the centurions get run over. I must have at least a dozen flat faced soldiers by now."
"Anyway," said Pit, eager to change the subject, "what is this 'emergency'? It hasn't been twenty-five years, has it? Is Hades already revived!? IS HE BACK AND BADDER THAN EVER!? CAN HE NOW SHOOT-"
"Calm down, Pit, Hades isn't back," Palutena interrupted, "however, the humans are in danger again."
"Oh, great. There's another god that controls the Underworld Army?"
"No, not this time. Right now, our enemy is a group of humans."
"What!? How can a group oppose an entire nation? Why would they anyway?"
"Well, firstly, they somehow got the ability to harness the elements, making them more powerful than any other human, and secondly, they seem to have gotten obsessed with the possibility of ruling over everyone else."
"Then they obviously forgot the power and ability of this awesome angel right here!" declared Pit as he pointed to himself proudly.
"…Yeah. Sure." responded Palutena, making Pit slouch. "None the less, they are a group of six, and they have a much organised disposition. They've each made a base that all together gives them position to attack from anywhere or everywhere."
"That's a problem, then. Which base do we attack first?"
"…" Palutena wouldn't meet Pit's eye.
"Are you saying that you have no idea!?" Pit asked despondently.
"Well, the thing is that they are all an equal threat and I couldn't think of which one to prioritise, so I decided to wait for your decision."
"So I get to choose where we go? Awesome!"
"Pit, if you're thinking that the ice-cream factory is an option, it isn't."
"Aw, man."
"Here's the list of the six humans we're up against," Palutena explained as she handed Pit a piece of parchment, "study it carefully."
"Hmmm…" Pit said as he studied the list. He muttered to himself, "It's a good thing I finally learned to read."
