The Opera House was now dark, everyone else was about to go to bed after a long night. Except Kazooie. She came out from her changing room. She was now wearing her red shirt, the sleeves were down to her arms. And she wore a yellow skirt, yellow knee high boots and a red with yellow striped headband. Just then, the candles on her make-up desk went out. Kazooie looked up at the sudden darkness. Candles on her right went out, too.
"What's happening?" Kazooie asked, feeling scared. She was about to reach the door, but the powerful, beautiful and masculine voice that Kazooie heard before was singing angrily.
"Insolent boy,
This slave of fashion!
Basking in your glory!
Insolent fool!
This brave you suitor!
Sharing in my triumph!"
Kazooie turned and heard the voice, slightly nodding as he sang. Must be the angel...Kazooie filled her lungs with air and sang back.
"Angel, I hear you,
Speak, I'll listen!
Stay by my side,
Guide me!
Angel my soul was weak,
Forgive me!
Enter at last, Master!"
Her song was barely finished when the "Angel of Music" answered. The voice was now softer and gentler and his anger went away.
"Flattering child, you shall know me.
See why in shadow I hide.
Look at your face in the mirror..."
Kazooie obeyed and slowly looked at her mirror, a face with brown hair with a white half mask appeared. Kazooie looked in amazement as she saw a boy about her age with a brown shirt yellow shorts and a red cape. He stared back at Kazooie with his blue eyes.
"I am there inside!"
Kazooie slowly walked up to the mirror with the brown haired boy. She stared into his eyes.
"Angel of Music,
Guide and Guardian!
Grant to me your glory!
Angel of Music!
Secret and strange angel!"

The young diva was still approaching slowly towards the mirror, almost reaching it, when the "Angel of Music" began to sing again. But this time, it sounded as though other male voices had joined his, making his song more beautiful and hypnotic.
"I am your Angel of Music,
Come to me, Angel of Music!"
The dressing room door suddenly shuddered, it would have startled Kazooie. Had she been in her right mind? Max stopped shuddering the door as he hears the boy with brown hair sang to Kazooie.
"What's that voice?" Max demanded, shaking the door again. "Who is that in there?"
His demands were unnoticed and the "Angel" sang again, drawing the hypnotized Kazooie closer to him.
"I am your Angel of Music,
Come to me, Angel of Music!"
Max cried out Kazooie's name, but both ignored him and Kazooie was now through the mirror with her Angel of Music, how she had done so was unseen. The Angel of Music was none other than the Banjo of the Opera, but Kazooie ignored this fact as he held out his gloved hands, and she reached for it, hesitating before placing her own hand within his strong grasp. Then Banjo turned and led Kazooie down what seemed an enchanted hallway. Part of her wanted to look around in wonder but everything else kept her eyes on the Phantom, as he led her and looked back between moments, appearing to be the guardian she believed him to be. Kazooie began to sing, whether to please her Angel without a reason she didn't even know herself.
"In sleep he sang to me,
In dreams he came,
That voice which calls to me,
And speaks my name...
And do I dream again?
For now I find...
The Banjo of the Opera is there,
Inside my mind..."
Banjo looked back at her for the longest gaze that night, his intense eyes piercing her heart and mind. He began to sing back, making her want to swoon with the pleasure of his beautiful voice.
"Sing once again with me,
Our strange duet!
My power over you,
Grows stronger yet!"
Kazooie suddenly looked back to see how far they had gone from her dressing room, but Banjo reached for her chin with his free hand, turning her face back to him with a strong yet gentle grip. When Kazooie looked back into his eyes, she didn't want to look away again.
"And though you turn from me,
To glance behind,
The Banjo of the Opera is there,
Inside your mind..."
Banjo released her chin as they suddenly come to a turn in the tunnel, then they came to a staircase. Kazooie gasped as she sees that there was a lake underneath the Opera House! Banjo smiled at her surprised and continued to lead her by hand. There was a beautiful black boat on the dock, Kazooie couldn't help but stare at it. Banjo helped her into the front of the boat. She settled herself on velvet wine-red cushions, continuing her singing as Banjo began to steer the boat away from the dock.
"Those who have seen your face,
Draw back in fear,
I am the mask you wear..."
Banjo answered her song somewhat prideful as he guided the boat through the waters.
"It's me they hear."
They began to sing together, the note from their throats filled the air with dark music as Kazooie unknowingly slipped more and more into her dark side, she was turning into a dark Angel of Music.
"My/Your Spirit and your/my voice,
In one combined!
The Banjo of the Opera is there,
Inside my/your mind!"
The phantom stopped, allowing Kazooie to sing on her own.
"He's there!
The Banjo of the Opera!"
"Sing..." Banjo half ordered, half begged Kazooie, who obliged with an eerie wordless song, and Banjo closed his eyes to allow only his ears to have pleasure and he opened them again as he ordered. "Sing my angel, sing for me!" Kazooie sang again, this time higher and more beautiful than before, making Banjo feel like he was in heaven...they entered his lair, the curtains that hid it from view opened seemingly on their own, along with a dangerous-looking iron gate with spikes on the outside and the inside. There are candles everywhere, lighting Banjo's lair with golden light and there was an organ, a working desk, statues, tables, and curtains everywhere on the walls along with paper littered here and there with Banjo's musical work. Kazooie looks in sight and almost stops singing...
"Sing my angel," Banjo repeated his order, as Kazooie sang her highest and best note and the boat entered his lair, "Sing for me!" Kazooie finished her strange wordless song with one high pitched note, it echoed all over the lair as the boat came to a stop. Kazooie started panting after her long note. Banjo smiled a little.
"You sing well...my Angel of Music," he said in a gentle tone.
