Derek's POV
Less than an hour later, I was in my family's van, traveling to the airport. I was going to Switzerland for three weeks and couldn't be happier. I was going to be at a ski resort where I could snowboard, skate on the ice a little, chow down on some serious room service, and maybe even have some alone time with Casey. This was going to be the best vacation ever.
After we had gone through security at the airport, we sat down next to our terminal, waiting for our plane to start boarding. We were all sitting in those uncomfortable airport waiting chairs and I was dying to get up and go somewhere. I looked over at Casey to see her reading some boring book. I opened up my phone and sent her a text.
C-
Need to stretch my legs. Follow me.

I watched her open up the message then smile at the screen.
Derek,
I'll follow. But you leave first.
She responded. I tried to make up an excuse to leave in my head, but the only one I could think of was the oldest one in the book.
"Dad, I gotta use the crapper. I'll be back before we board." And without waiting for a reply, I stood up and walked away. I turned a corner so my family couldn't see me, but I could still hear them.
"Mom, can I go find a souvenir?" Casey asked Nora. "I get one from every airport I go to," Casey told Nora.
"Oh, I'll go with you, honey," Nora responded, standing up from her plastic chair.
"No!" Casey yelled. "I mean, I wanna go alone." she said, lowering her voice. "I need to learn how to...take care of myself."
Nora gave her a weird look. "Well, I guess if you want to go alone, you can. But be careful. And don't talk to strangers." Nora told Casey. Casey flashed a big smile, then walked towards my way. We walked away from the family silently. After we were pretty far away from where our parents were, I grabbed Casey around the waist and tickled her where I knew she was most ticklish. She laughed loudly and tried to punch me playfully to no avail. I stopped tickling and wrapped her in a hug. I kissed her softly, right there in the middle of the airport, and I was finally happy I could kiss the girl I like in public.
I was happy until a little kid threw a cup of Dr. Pepper all over me.
"Get a room, idiot!" The little boy yelled, then ran away, giggling. Where were these boys parents? My whole torso was soaked with a dark brown liquid. Great.
Casey's jaw was practically hitting the floor.
I groaned. "Little punk," I muttered to myself. I looked up to see Casey grinning. What was so funny? Then I saw her staring at my crotch.
I looked down to see that the whole front of my pants were soaked, looking like I had soiled my pants. And surprisingly, I cracked a smile too.
Casey started laughing, and I did too. "C'mon, big guy. Let's get you to the bathroom," Casey said, grabbing my hand and entwining her fingers with mine. We found the nearest bathroom, which happened to be one for men, and stepped inside. We were the only ones in there, so Casey locked the door. I took off my soaked t shirt and threw it down on the floor. I saw Casey looking at my chest, and I tried to conceal a laugh.
Then, she lunged at me. She grabbed my arms and wrapped them around her waist. She pushed her lips onto mine and ran her hands up and down my bare back. I cupped her face in my hands and kissed her hard.
We had been kissing for maybe 20 seconds when the intercom in the bathroom buzzed to life. "Now boarding flight to Switzerland, boarding flight to Switzerland." It said in a crackly voice. That was our flight.
Casey parted from me, and a few seconds later, her phone started ringing. She looked at her screen, then put a finger to her lips, telling me to be quiet.
Casey flipped open her phone and put it on speaker. "Casey! Where are you?! We are boarding! And have you seen Derek? We need to go! Get here now!" I heard Nora screaming. Casey and I tried to hide our laughter.
"On my way, Mom," Casey said, then hung up. "Der, you go first. I'll come in a minute, so it looks like we weren't together." I nodded, then threw my still wet shirt on. I slipped out the door then ran towards our terminal.
I saw Dad first, and all he did was glare at me. "Let's go, Derek," he said sternly.
"Where's Casey?" Lizzie asked me.
"Here I am," Casey said, appearing out of nowhere.
"Where's your souvenir, Case?" Nora asked her.
"I couldn't find one I liked," Casey said while shrugging.
"Let's just get on the plane." Edwin said, leading the way.
Before long, we were on the plane, heading to Switzerland. And I couldn't stop smiling.
And Casey couldn't, either.

I know, I haven't written in a while. Volleyball just started so I've been really busy. I hope you liked this chapter. More to come soon (hopefully).
