Chapter 3
Tsuna's body was heavy, eyes still closed, he honestly didn't know if he could even open them. He was so tired he didn't want to move or wake up he just wished for sleep to return. After lying there for a few minutes he figured out that this wasn't going to happen so he slowly tried to open his eyes. Instantly he shut them because of the blinding light. It was the first time he had woken up since he had been brought back, and well he defiantly felt terrible. He decided to try again a couple seconds latter to be greeted by a very happy white haired male. Tsuna yawned as he sat up slowly and carefully as not to stress his body out to much.
He could feel how built up his flames were instantly as he looked at Byakuran, "How long have I been asleep?"
Byakuran looked down at him from his spot in the bed beside him; Byakuran had bandages on his arms and hands to cover the burns, "3 days."
Tsuna nodded as he stared at the others hands, he frowned, "Sorry."
Byakuran laughed and smiled at him, "Its fine Tsunayoshi, these are nothing and you know it."
Tsuna sighed, "It's not nothing; if I had better control of my flames this wouldn't be a problem, were in this situation because I'm a weakling."
Byakuran looked at him and then laughed, "Well, actually were in this situation because you to strong."
Tsuna stared at him, "You know that's not what I meant."
Byakuran laughed again, "Then don't say such stupid things if you're looking for a serious response."
The two sat on the bed talking; they talked like they normally would have at home, and it made Tsuna a lot more relaxed then when he was with everyone else. That's not to say he didn't like being with Hibari and Mukuro it's just they were always so serious and possessive, and not to mention they fight constantly about every little thing; and well Byakuran was always so carefree that it made Tsuna very calm unlike usual. In the future it had surprised everyone how close Tsuna and Byakuran were, they would always come to each other's help and well they always sat together at meetings, they even went to dinner at least twice a month.
They talked about their relationships, and who they liked together; they were best friends, and every once in a while they were a little more, but it was only because of how alike they are when it comes down to it. It's something simple Yuni had said to Tsuna that one time and he didn't think it was true then, but now he definitely believes it because they are alike and enjoy a lot of the same things.
As they were talking two people entered the room; Tsuna looked over at Hibari and Mukuro who had a tray of food. Mukuro handed the tray to Byakuran, and Hibari looked at Tsuna, "How do you feel?"
Tsuna held his hands out, "Bad; I'll have to go see Giotto soon."
Mukuro looked over at him, "Do you want something to eat first?"
Tsuna shook his head, "I'm fine for now; I'm not really hungry."
Tsuna was still so tired; it was so bad that he felt sick to the stomach. He felt like he was burning up, but he knew that this probably wasn't going to get any better soon because he knew his body would of course hit its limit soon; although he had to admit that it was happening a little faster then he thought. He looked at his hands; thinking about what his best option would be. He didn't really know what to do about it. The only person he knew that might be able to do something about his excess flames may be Talbot; he might be able to make a device to remove them. But he didn't know where the man even was, he sighed as he moved to the side of the bed to try and stand up. He would have fallen had it not been for Hibari. Tsuna smiled at him, "Thanks."
Hibari just nodded as he picked the smaller up, "I'll take you to see Giotto now then since your awake."
Tsuna nodded, "Thanks, I could have made it if I really tried, but it would have be really hard."
Hibari and Tsuna left with Mukuro and Byakuran walking behind; well Byakuran was actually floating, but it didn't matter since they were all headed in the same direction anyways.
It didn't take them that long to get there and when they did Hibari didn't knock but instead just walked in unlike what Tsuna would have preferred he have done. Giotto looked up from the piece of paper him and Knuckle were reading over, "So your awake, Tsunayoshi?"
Tsuna nodded as Hibari set him in a chair, Byakuran was beside him as Giotto came over, once over Giotto sat in the other chair and then Tsuna looked at him with pain in his eyes and simply said it out loud, "My body won't be able to handle this for too much longer, and if I use my flames again it probably won't last another week."
Everyone just stared at him; the look on Tsuna's face showed how severe the situation was. He frowned as he looked down, "I can't stop it from happening."
Byakuran was the one to voice his concerns first, "But Tsuna we must be able to do something right; I mean you don't expect us to just let you die do you?"
Tsuna shook his head, "I have an idea but finding him in time might not be that easy of a task."
Giotto looked at him, "What are you thinking Tsunayoshi?"
Tsuna smiled as he held his ring up, "I think Talbot can make me something like the Vongola rings that could have the effect of absorbing my excess flames."
Giotto nodded, "I think I get what you're saying, and we may be in luck. Sepira is coming soon and she may know where he is."
Tsuna nodded, "Yuni's ancestor. She created the Tri-ni-set; she's probably our best chance, but…"
Giotto looked up, "What?"
Tsuna shook his head, "It's nothing I was just remembering something."
Tsuna sighed as he moved in his seat; Giotto took his hands, "Let's do this then, release as much as you can."
Tsuna released more than he had the first time; he couldn't stop himself this time; his control was definitely slipping. He could see the pain in Giotto's eyes so he pulled his hands away and calmly stopped the flow. Byakuran put his hand on his shoulder and tried to calm Tsuna down like he had when the younger had lost control once before. Byakuran was pretty sure the younger was scared of what would happen when his body could no longer withstand his flames so he had lost control of them back then. Byakuran was sure if Tsuna stayed in his current mindset that it would happen again; so he took his hands in his own helping pulling the younger up slowly, "Let's go back to the room Tsu-kun, it'll be okay, just calm down and will go stay in the silence for a while away from everyone so you can collect yourself is that okay?"
Mukuro and Hibari both knew instantly to back up and get out of the way, Byakuran only called Tsuna that when they were all literally walking on egg shells; usually it was either when Tsuna was in a state like the current state he was in or seriously mad; like rip you a new one angry. Byakuran smiled as he patted Tsuna's shoulder, "Well guys we'll be going soon, and Giotto I'll get Tsuna to help me with my issue once he's calmed down a bit more."
Giotto nodded, "If you can calm him down he should be able to help you; if not come see me once he's calmed down a little. Hibari, Mukuro could I ask you to go on a short mission for me, Knuckle needs some company for his short trip and the rest of the guardians that would go aren't here at the moment."
Mukuro and Hibari both looked at Tsuna as Byakuran led him out of the room, he was in safe hands so they both nodded, "Fine"
Tsuna sat on the bed with Byakuran beside him still holding his hand, honestly Tsuna had scared himself earlier and he regretted how easily his fear had affected him. He smiled at Byakuran, "I'm okay now."
Byakuran didn't let go, "Are you sure?"
Tsuna nodded, "It was nothing but a moment of fear, and it wasn't of death, but of what would happen to all of those around me when I lose it."
Byakuran nodded, "I understand; I get it; no one except for another Sky who has had such power as you could truly understand how threatening our flames are. They don't understand their destructive force; if we don't stay in complete control every second."
Tsuna smiled, "I think they would be scared of me if they knew the sheer amount my flames would destroy if my body lost all control and stated destroying its self really."
Byakuran nodded, "I get why you're scared; I'm sure Mukuro and Hibari would stay the same, but even if the others didn't leave they wouldn't act the same. It would always weigh them down deeply in their mind." Tsuna smiled, "I would want them to leave me; because if I lost control I don't know if they would survive. Especially with how loaded this body is with my flames, it is in every way dangerous."
Byakuran hugged his shoulders, "That doesn't matter, it never should have, friends should willingly die for each other."
Tsuna laughed at how unusually serious Byakuran was being, "Not all friend ships are like that; You, Mukuro and Hibari would but I have a feeling the others treasure their lives a little bit too much. But I prefer it that way; I wouldn't want them to give up their lives for me."
Byakuran sighed, "Well you knew this day when your flames were causing problems would come sooner or later."
Tsuna sighed, "But I didn't think it would be this early; I meant in maybe 30 or 40 more years when I'm old and dying anyways."
Byakuran looked at him and then sighed gripping his hand tighter, "While you're like that; I'm in the opposite state, isn't that funny. You've got way to many flames and for some reason since I crashed in to this building after using all my flames I haven't been able to mange creating any flames."
Tsuna looked at him, "What?"
Byakuran sighed, "Thank god your body can produce enough flames to support both of use or else I would be dead right now."
Tsuna sat up grabbing his shoulders, "What are you talking about?"
Byakuran struggled in the others grasp, "My body has been refusing to form flames; so Giotto's been giving me all the flames he forcibly collected from you."
Tsuna suddenly slammed his fist infused with sky flames in to the wall beside the bed, "Shit; I am so sorry Byakuran. My flames must have sealed yours when I used that move back in the mansion; I wasn't thinking straight."
Byakuran's eyes widened, "But there's know way you can know that; it could be something totally different."
Tsuna shook his head, "No, I know it was me. Before we left I knew something was strange with my flames, I had fought an assassin a few days before this weird event and he died of lose of flames, we couldn't figure it out but I'm sure now it was something new I subconsciously did in the moment."
Byakuran shook his head, "Even if that's the reason it doesn't matter at all. You didn't do it on purpose so stop blaming everything on yourself; you can't handle everything all by yourself."
Tsuna looked up as the anger on his face dissipated, he was really surprised when he felt the arms wrap around him, "You've got to stop taking everyone's troubles on your own shoulders. Not everything is your fault, and even if it is you've got to let it go because some things can't be stopped."
Tsuna's face was buried in Byakuran's shoulder, "I know. It's just I…"
Byakuran tightened his hug, "Stop, just let it go."
Tsuna was about to speak when Byakuran pulled away, "Now help me; I'm starting to get light headed."
Tsuna concentrated as much as he could taking his time to prepare and then he took Byakuran's hands he allowed just the smallest amount at a time to be transferred this time he refused to have it leave burns. It took about half an hour but by the end Tsuna was feeling a lot better with so much of his flames gone, and Byakuran was feelings better to because he had more flames in his body again."
Once done Tsuna and Byakuran were lying down in the bed together both rather tired from the day, Tsuna cuddled more in to the elder's chest it was really comfortable as he fell asleep, and Byakuran quickly followed suit behind him.
Tsuna missed Mukuro and Hibari they had been gone on that mission for two days, when Giotto talked to Tsuna later he said that he sent them away because of how much destruction they were causing, Tsuna just laughed at that. He had gotten used to the high repair bills a long, long time ago. Other than that he said they would probably be another day or so.
Tsuna and Byakuran were dressed in some nicer clothing as they walked through the mansion together, Sepira was suppose to be arriving today for her first visit in quite a while according to Giotto. Honestly both Tsuna and Byakuran were excited to see what Yuni's ancestor was really like. Would she be exactly like Yuni was or would she have a different personality; they were very curious. As they walked down the stairs heading to the dining room there was a knocking at the door. Tsuna turned to look, as Giotto came down the stairs' and opened the door, "It's nice to see you again, Sepira."
Tsuna watched in curiosity from his place now behind Giotto, Byakuran stood beside him as they studied the women. She was a lot like Yuni when it came down to it the only really big difference they could notice was the tattoo on her check was opposite to Yuni's. Sepira looked down at Tsuna and smiled, "good morning, and what would your name be?"
Tsuna smiled as he introduced himself to her, "My name is Sawada Tsunayoshi, Sepira-san."
She giggled and was about to respond when a small blob flew past her leg and instantly hugged Tsuna, "Tsuna."
Instantly Tsuna hugged back, obviously the girl was scared as she was shaking in his arms. It was a very unusual thing for Yuni to do, "Thank god you're still okay I saw you and Byakuran getting attacked in one of my visions."
She instantly pulled Byakuran down in to her arms as she hugged the two, "I was so worried about you two."
They were thoroughly surprised by Yuni's reaction, she was never the type to speak her mind and show her emotions so clearly, even though they didn't like the reason seeing her this happy was nice. Once the hug was over Byakuran pated her head as he smiled, floating in the air as he crossed his legs. "It's good to see you Yu-chan."
Yuni looked up at him with a slightly childish pout, "Don't call me that."
Tsuna giggled as he walked away from two of his best friends to see Sepira talking with Giotto, he smiled at her as she stood up from the chair she had been in, she walked over to him and picked him up in a teasing matter, "It's time for me and this boy to chat I guess."
Tsuna sighed as she carried him away, but once alone she instantly set him down, "Someone's not telling everyone down stairs the entire truth about himself now is he."
Tsuna looked up at her, "It didn't take you long to figure it out."
Sepira smiled, "It's natural for us to be able to sense our own kind; even if it is as extremely diluted as you."
Tsuna went and sat in a chair as she did the same across from him, he smiled gently at her, "Just so you know; it's not from my Vongola blood line. It's from really far back on my mother's side. I figured it out after having a detailed discussion with Kawahira-san. He said you guys used to know my ancestor."
Sepira nodded, "Well to be more precise; I'm pretty sure it was one of my relatives, but they all died a long time ago. I can't believe were not the only two left. I can hardly believe that your bloodline survived until your generation."
Tsuna sighed, "I figured out that it was the reason for my extreme amounts of flame even for having such a little amount of that blood in me, it's got some really troublesome side effects."
Sepira touched his head giving him a small affectionate brush, "That's because your ancestor was just that strong, but anyways you needed to talk to me about something else."
Tsuna nodded, "I need to know where Talbot is?"
Sepira smiled, "Well luckily that isn't too hard to do."
She had explained everything, from understanding a few of his extra abilities that he may gain in time, to talking about himself and his ancestor. This made Tsuna so relaxed, he hadn't told anyone other the Kawahira about what he had learned, and then with his help they had figured out who the ancestor was. Tsuna smiled at her, this was such a nice occasion, and he was enjoying it so much. After a good hour of them being alone there was a knock on the door, and then it was slammed open. Tsuna sighed knowing who it was; they must have finished their job rather early, "Skylark he'll get mad at you."
Hibari just scoffed at his comment, Tsuna sighed, "Why are you guys back so early?"
Mukuro looked at him, "We finished the job pretty quickly and then ended up running all the way back with Knuckle, he's worse than Ryohei."
Tsuna laughed, "So you had some fun then."
Mukuro sighed at him saying that, "It wasn't something we would find fun and you know it."
Tsuna started giggling, "I know he let me read the assignment; I heard you guys had to go help some old woman with her store. But you should have enjoyed the other part if the mission, I mean the store was being attacked."
Hibari glared at him, "You understand it was petty thieves, not really much of a challenge."
Tsuna smiled as he took both of their hands, "But you did finish it right; that's a good thing and now don't leave me again; I was starting to get lonely."
Hibari smirked at that well Mukuro smiled and creepily laughed, "Kufufufu, so you missed us Tsunayoshi."
Tsuna turned to look at Sepira, "Well, anyways you know where Talbot is right?"
She nodded, "Yeah, it would probably take us a day or 2 of traveling to get to where he is but if me and you go I'm sure he'll help you."
Tsuna nodded, he suddenly felt guilty for not telling his friends everything. They should know right; that he's not fully human; even if it's only a small portion of his blood it's still not something he should keep to himself. He had wanted to tell them so many times; to tell them the truth of what he learned; the truth about why his body in the future can even have so much flames, with how unnatural it is. In the future he had wanted to bring it up so many times and just tell them all, but once again he feared what his friends may do.
Flash Back
Tsuna felt weird; he knew his body had been creating more flames of its own lately but really he just ignored it at first. What could it possibly due to him? They are his natural flames after all; even though he has mixed a few other sky flames in with his own. These weird feelings went on for a few weeks until Tsuna's hyper intuition began acting up. He knew that his flame production was really unnatural and that was when he figured out just in his head that there may be something more to it. So he secretly started doing more research by himself; he received information from multiple sources until he eventually figured out he wasn't completely human, and that his blood for some strange reason had just started activating.
After the first realization he had to figure out what to do, he knew that his flames may continue to grow until his human blood and body become a hindrance. So he talked to the only person he knew that truly did know about it all. It took him one week to find the man; Tsuna had used small tricks like tracking using his flames that he had learned over the years. Once he found him he talked with Kawahira, and he explained a little more about how much stronger his other blood is. Tsuna had decided not to tell anyone, for the fear of it effecting the others, although Kawahira didn't think it would be a big deal if he did tell.
Tsuna lost control one day his emotions had gone haywire and his flames had gone out of control; the next thing he knew he couldn't stop them. Had Byakuran not been there that day Tsuna could have destroyed everything.
Flash Back End
Tsuna gave it a quick think over and then decided; he looked at Sepira and she must have known instantly because she smiled at him, simply saying, "It's okay Tsuna."
Tsuna smiled as Byakuran and Yuni came in behind his guardians; Yuni was back to her normal self; and well Byakuran was still Byakuran. Tsuna smiled as he looked at them all, "I have something I need to tell you guys, but you can't tell anyone else. The people here don't know about this and they can't."
They all nodded, and then Tsuna began, "Well, I guess I should just say it then. There's more to my flame issue then just being a sky flame carrier and having way too much of it. There's more of a precise reason that I have kept a secret between me and only one other person, Kawahira."
They all looked at him a little confused about what he was going to say, not understanding really why Tsuna would keep a secret with only Checker face; Yuni was the one to ask this time, "Why?"
Tsuna smiled, "Because I found out that like you I am not 100% human, if you think about it since you're ancestor and mine were relatives, then we are related even if it is by a very small amount."
Hibari looked at him, "Why didn't you tell us if you knew?"
Byakuran said the answer with a sigh knowing Tsuna's reason, "Fear… Tsuna you have to learn to trust us all more. We're your best friends and family, we won't change just because of something like this."
Tsuna shook his head, "It wasn't just fear, I didn't think you needed to know until that first time I lost control; that was when I started thinking about telling you all."
Byakuran looked at him, "But that was like 3 years ago."
Tsuna laughed as it turned in to more of a sigh at the end, "It took me quite a long time to decide; if my flames weren't killing me right now I wouldn't have told you… yet…"
Yuni smiled, "Anyways past that I heard that you're looking for Talbot from Byakuran."
Tsuna nodded, "Sepira told me where he is already."
Yuni nodded, "Then shall we get ready to leave?"
Tsuna nodded, "Yeah."
Byakuran smiled as he yelled at the top of his lungs like a idiot, "ROADTRIP!"
