Tsukuyomi Sawada

Chapter 5: Morte Alla Francia, Italia Avanti

Iemitsu was well aware of his bloodline; he also knew that he had a small drop of Ieyasu Sawada's Hyper Intuition in him. When they had Yomi, he hoped to Primo that because she was a girl, she wouldn't inherit the ability.

Oh, but Primo was a cruel man.

His daughter was clutching onto her head as if her sanity depended on it. She was shaking with horror and her eyes were wide with terror.

His own intuition screamed at him, but he didn't need it. It was plain as day.

Tsukuyomi had taken the full brunt of the bloodline.

Primo, you bastardic asshole.

He gritted his teeth and whipped his phone out. There was no choice now.

~ [Katekyo Hitman Reborn] ~

I watched as my father punched numbers into his phone. "Nana!" he called, waiting for someone to pick up. "Nana, pack bags for you and Yomi!" Iemitsu looked at me just as my mother came in panting, having hurried up. "…We're going to Italy."

The next few hours were a rush. Nana was giddy when she picked me up from the floor. If she noticed my reddened eyes, she didn't say anything. She took me to my room as Iemitsu began screaming into the phone. I couldn't make out what he said, but he looked frantic and frustrated.

I simply sat in the corner of my room, staring at my bag in the other end of the room, as my mother rummaged about humming happily as she took out my things and lay them out on the bed. After a while, I got up and walked to the other corner to pick up my bag.

"Mama, do you think this will fit in the bag?"

My Hyper Intuition wasn't supposed to awaken until about 10 more years later.

But it did.

I asked for this.

This was what I wanted.

"Of course!" Nana took it, pausing for a moment. "How about your books?"

I shrugged. "Do we have an extra bag?"

Yes.

I'd have to live this.

She looked thoughtful. "I'll go ask."

And I was alone.

When she came in the room and found her daughter was sprawled on the floor and crying, she was worried. However, Iemitsu told her to pack so she assumed it was because he was leaving. But after setting her down, all Yomi did was sit there and stare at her bag blankly.

What had happened?

She was about to speak when Yomi got up and gave her the bag. There was a glint in her eyes, she couldn't tell exactly what it was. It could have been determination, perseverance, or dedication.

No, that wasn't it.

It was resolve.

~ [Katekyo Hitman Reborn] ~

Two hours later, we were done. There were three large trolley bags which contained our luggage, a duffel bag that carried my books to be carried by my father and my laptop bag to be brought by my mother. Other clothes were placed in plastic bags to be donated to the local charity when we left later.

I don't know how I'm going to get a passport in such shirt notice, but meh. My dad's mafia, it should work out fine.

Apparently, after having our pictures from Kokuyo Land developed, Iemitsu took mine and had a passport made for me. Nana didn't need one because she already had one, so it was one less person for him. Heh, smart man.

Only, the picture was from when I was only one, so I was ridiculously chubby in it. I feel like an idiot, urgh…

I lay down on the back seat, "I'm bored…"

We were in a car which was apparently ours. It was never parked near the house because Iemitsu's mafia and therefore is being tracked down by other people from the mafia to have him killed. Smart man… Next time someone asks me where I got my smarts from, I'll blame him.

Nana looked at me from her seat. "I have your laptop, do you want it?"

"YES!" I cleared my throat. "I mean, I would like that very much, mother."

She giggled and handed me the bag. I took it gingerly and set it down next to meto unzip the zipper because I was too damn small. Since there was no Wi-Fi right now, I was stuck with staring on a blank MacroHard Word page. I had decided to type down what I know and remember about the original plot. It was taking forever.

Funny how when you need the memory, you can't remember anything but when you don't, you do. Oh, Life…

The information I have… is very vague. I don't remember most of the names, some of the important parts of the plot escaped me, and I wasn't even sure about how things ended up. The only things I had concrete information about were Mukuro and the Varia because I watched the anime. Dammit. I'm screwed.

I slammed the laptop shut as we neared the airport and put it back, handing it to Nana because she was saying that I wouldn't be able to carry it because I was too small. Thank you, Akira Amano for the strange anatomy of babies. Then again, if normal-sized babies were powerful mafia people, I don't think that would make sense. I'd be too busy being traumatized for life.

What was nerve-wracking was when we had to dump our bags under the security checking thingy that scanned the bags. Since my backpack was filled with bombs and was in there, you can guess how nervous I was. The reason why I asked Nana to put it in the luggage was because if I didn't, the contents would be easily seen, so maybe if the were placed inside another bag, the vision would be obscured.

I watched from the other end as the bags slid under the scanner, staring at it and willing it not to trigger some sort of alarm. It was so agonizingly slow that I almost screamed. Almost. It came out before I broke down.

Phew, safe. I wiped my sweat off my forehead.

"Mama," I tugged on her as she was carrying me.

"Yes, Yomi-chan?" She smiled gently, her free hand pulling on a bag.

"I want to carry my back pack," I told her in a guilty tone. "You and and Daddy are both carrying so much…" I glanced at my father who was carrying my bag of books and pulling on two bags.

She put me down and tugged on Iemitsu, making him stop, then she went to the side and lay the bag down to open it. "Here you go," Mama handed me the bag, smiling brightly.

I hugged her and took it.

~ [Katekyo Hitman Reborn] ~

Our flight wasn't until 8 in the evening. It was only 6 now, so I decided to spend time by by watching other people and keep track of their behavioural pattern while I was applying stuff I read from my book. I would wander around pretending to play all the while discreetly staring at someone as they moved. At some point, I did this to my parents but it was awkward, so I went back to strangers.

This guy, for example, keeps darting his eyes around as if he's wary of someone finding him. He also can't stay still and had his right hand twitching constantly as though he would reach for something in his pocket. I consider that suspicious behaviour, however I do not know enough about him because he's rather far away and I can't tell what's in his pocket. Although, I'd bet my future allowance it was a gun.

How did he sneak the gun in? The exact same way Iemitsu did. Therefore, he would either be mafia, which I doubt considering he's shaking so much, or a just a paranoid dude.

Or, he could be mafia and was sent her to kill my dad and was nervous as fuck about because Iemitsu's scary.

Eh, I'll go with the latter.

Moving on…

"Mama, I saw a guy who keeps looking around and twitching, I think he has a gun in his pocket."

I saw Iemitsu stiffen. Bingo.

Nana brushed it aside. "Don't worry, guys with guns aren't allowed in the airport so it's impossible for him to have one."

"If you say so…"

Iemitsu got up with a sigh. "I'm going to the smoking area for a bit," he said and left, reminding me that I needed a lighter.

Well, in that case.

"I want Fanta."

Nana handed me ¥200. "Here you go, but hurry up. I think we're boarding soon." I nodded and went to the nearest vending machine to purchase Fanta.

I forgot that I was too short.

Dammit.

What else do I have in my bag…?

I rummaged through its contents, vaguely remembering if I had shoved a pebble in there once or not. Apparently, I did. It was wrapped in foam and tied to a string for easy use. Che, I'm so smart.

I dumped the money in and tossed the rock at the button that selected Fanta. It hit nothing. When I tried again, I got it right and cheered as the drink fell down.

YEAH!

I went to the smoking area to look for my father but he wasn't there, so I assumed he was taking care of the poor dude. Eventually, he arrived sighing in irritation.

"That Adachi… He's so much trouble," I heard him mumble as he got inside. He flicked out a lighter from a fanny pack hidden under his shirt. The genius…

Now, to find a way to get it…

I went back to Nana, one hand in stuffed in the back pocket of my pants and the other holding onto my can of Fanta as I sipped from it. Normally, this made me feel nothing, but right now, in the body of a child, I felt like a total badass. And that is how you win at life. You walk like a boss child. Ba-boom!

The announcement on boarding the plane came on just as I got back to my mother and finished my Fanta. She smiled and scooped me up, standing back to wait for Iemitsu despite being allowed by others to go on a head because she has a kid. I mentally squealed at the fluff, part of my brain wondering about how they ended up together in the first place. Seriously, think about it. Just… God must've been on crack that day. I mean, I ship them real hard but… I shook my head and I scanned around for my father whom I spotted jogging towards us with a sheepish smile on his face. He took me from Nana which was good because I needed to sit next to him at all costs.

We… We were riding first class.

… Just… I love Nono.

Iemitsu got to sit by the aisle (makes sense), I was in the middle (Give. Me. The. Window.) and Nana was by the window (The lucky bitch, she better be grateful that I'm not a homicidal freak with a Messiah complex). I 'hugged' my father, patting around to find the zipper for his fanny pack. "Daddy, where are we going?"

He put a hand on my head. "Oh, we're going to the place were I work."

I felt around for the lighter carefully. "Is it a nice place?" Where is this thing?

"It's really beautiful and quiet." Lies.

Jesus-motherfucking-Christ, I do not need you to know that, Hyper Intuition.

I… think I just felt the lighter. Thank you, Hyper Intuition! "Why are we coming along?"

He ruffled my hair while smiling softly as I was zipping the pack close. "I want to be around you two longer."

LIE-

He's got a damn good reason for it! Shut. Up.

I pulled away from him and hugged my bag, discreetly shoving the lighter in the pocket. "I can't wait 'til we get there!"

I grinned. Success!

~ [Katekyo Hitman Reborn] ~

Iemitsu watched as his daughter drifted off to sleep while hugging her backpack. For some reason, he had a feeling that she took something from him even as she was talking to him earlier, which was stupid. He knew she could never do that and it made if feel sick that he was even thinking about it. His daughter was not a thief, she was his precious little moon who is innocent and prodigious and does not deserve to have him as a father. What he was going to subject her through was just terrible.

She asked for a pocket knife before, though.

She said herself that she was feeling unsafe! There's no reason to doubt her because her Hyper Intuition must've been awakening by then!

The voice shut up, but he still couldn't shake the thought that his daughter was up to something despite the fact the she was just a child. It was all so weird.

~ [Katekyo Hitman Reborn] ~

"How the on earths do you expect me to enjoy breakfast without Fanta?!" I screamed at the tray table the next morning. My mother and father were staring at me oddly as I growled at my food, probably wondering why I needed Fanta for breakfast and why I was so adamant on having it. "I. Need. My. Fanta."

Under two minutes later, I was walking around while sipping on my Fanta when I heard something familiar.

"Ushishishi!" Someone laughed from further down the aisle. "Die!"

"Ushesheshe! Never!"

I snuck on a seat nearby and found two blonde kids with hair all over their face stabbing each other with the forks that came with the airplane food.

Bel has a twin?! Since when did he have a twin?!

Since birth, idiot.

Shut up, Hyp- Oh wait, that was me.

I tried to recall any information I had about Bel… Is much hotter in the future, end up with a French dude(I mentally snorted at the image of a boy speaking in a flamboyant French accent as a stereotype) because Mammon committed suicide, joined the Varia after he killed his brother who was brought back by... someone… only to be re-killed by Xanxus.

THERE IT IS!

So… Who's Bel here?

… Imma betting on the kid wearing the striped shirt.

What are they doing on a plane to Italy, anyway?

Striped Bel leant on his palm. "This was the worst vacation ever!"

Whiny bitch…

"Ushesheshe!"

HA! I knew Striped!Bell was the Real!Bel!

"Hey there, idiots," I walked up to them, taking a swig of my Fanta.

They turned their heads to look at me… or glare, I can't tell. "Who are you, peasant?" Bel asked, his brother grinning beside him. I finished my Fanta and threw it at Bel's head, he was not pleased.

"Not a peasant, wannabe-princes."

Run.

I ducked.

How the hell are they keeping knives on their person? Someone explain this to me. Didn't they pass through the security checkpoint or get felt up by some pedophilic security guards? No? Seriously? Bribery. Yup, that's how it happened.

"How did you dodge that, peasant?" What's-his-face asked. Damn it memory, this is not the time to fail me.

"I," I paused for dramatic effect, "am God."

Beat.

I ran under the seat in attempt to save my life before settling myself beside them. No, I am not suicidal. "I have a lighter and I will not hesitate to burn your faces off." See?

They were not very threatened. In fact, they were so unthreatened that they told me that I would probably fail in life. Well, not those words but that message. I was hurt. So hurt that I shove food on Creeper-kun's face in an act of relieving the pain. Don't question my methods.

"Ushishishi!" Bel laughed, somehow managing to making it sound… like an actual 'haha' laugh. I don't even…

I got off the seat before I could be knifed for real. "Well, Bel-chan… Creeper-kun, it was nice to meet you but…" the seat belt light came on. "IgottagoseeyouinthemafiaBYE!" I ran for my seat before they could chase after me, sighing in relief. It wasn't until we were a mere 10 feet or so off the ground when it hit me.

I had called Bel by his name. And mentioned the mafia.

Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap. I'm screwed.

~ [Katekyo Hitman Reborn] ~

Bel sat there, blocking out his annoying brother with thoughts of the weird peasant girl who had come by earlier. She had called him by his name and said something he found rather interesting. Something about the mafia?

He twirled a knife in his finger, a grin forming on his face. Maybe he would see her there.

~ [Katekyo Hitman Reborn] ~

You will not believe how tough security was on the way in. It was just… Let's just say that I would've been in an asylum by now if not for Fanta. That's how horrible it was. I don't even know how my 'bombs' got through! Maybe they don't even work! What will I do then? Run for my life? Psh, yeah right. I'd probably trip over something and kill myself by hitting my head on something that heads should not be hit on. Like… beehives!

Well, I'm screwed for life.

On another note, two suits were waiting for us in the parking lot. One would be on a motorcycle that would follow after us and the other would drive that stupidly gorgeous car. It was a Lamborghini. Seriously. Just…

Nono. You gotta love that old man.

The ride to wherever was quiet except for Nana's excited swooning as the surroundings zoomed past us and the conversation between Iemitsu and the driver which, despite being in Italian, was difficult for me to understand because they were talking rapidly and their voices were hushed(note to self: learn how to read lips). I basically sat there for what seemed like hours just staring out the bullet-proof window(seemed like it, anyway) watching the scenery. Italy, true to my father's words, was beautiful. It would've passed for peaceful too if I hadn't caught sight of two men armed with guns run into an alley.

I flinched and shut my eyes tight. There was this nauseating feeling in the pit of my stomach that made me want to puke. Seeing people get killed in shows is so much more different than knowing someone will actually be murdered because it was so downplayed and you are aware it's acting. Sure, they get to judge themselves… but the end just doesn't justify the means. And considering they're mafia…

I shook my head and pulled my legs up, wrapping my arms around to keep it in. I leaned against the door and kept my eyes closed. Why has this only sunken in now? I've experienced my father kill and just earlier two boys a year or two older than were trying to knife, dammit! What is this?! Some sort of weird form of fridge horror?! What the hell?!

I'd have to do that too.

God, this is not good for me. How do they even live with it?

~ [Katekyo Hitman Reborn] ~

The Vongola mansion was huge. Seriously, You could fit three mansion in there. And Nono lived here.

How does he not get lost in this place?

We went inside. The old man was already standing there, both hands clutching his cane in front of him and a warm welcoming smile on his face. There was a dark-haired kid standing next to him. He seemed about 12 and wasn't looking at us, just staring at the ground.

Wait just a second here…

That's Xanxus, isn't it? How is he so adorable?!

Ahem.

"Welcome!" Nono greeted, sounding like a cool ol' grampa, he turned to my father. "Are they…?"

Iemitsu nodded, smiling down at us 'cause Nana is short and I was in her arms. "My family."

God, you do not even know how warm and nice that sounded. Just… the feels.

"I hope you don't mind them staying here, it's just that…"

It's unsafe to be around you and this place is a fortress? No biggie.

"Of course not! Perish the thought!" Okay, I seriously love Nono. He waved at us to follow him. "Come, come… Let us talk while the maids fix up your rooms."

Nana put me down then and I immediately ran to Xanxus.

I beamed. Like, seriously beamed at him while poking him of all things. "Hi, I'm Tsukuyomi Sawada, 25 months old and am epically awesome. What's your name?" Not gonna make that same mistake twice.

He stared at me and I swear Nono was as well. "Xanxus," he said roughly, slapping my hand away.

Jeez, man. What's up your butt?

"Did she just…?" I heard Nono whisper to my father most probably and felt my dad grin.

"She's prodigious," Iemitsu said making me spin around, "probably a little too much for her age."

Nono had this 'Ya think?!' face going on. I laughed. "Daddy, didn't I just say I'm epically awesome?" Because I highly doubt I'm prodigious.

He picked me up and tossed me into the air like he usually did before catching me. "I keep forgetting."

And we all laughed.

One weird mafia family we got going on here.

Death to France, Italy Forward!

9 pages and 3557 words of only content total here. Does that make up for anything? I hope so?

Also, should I do a poll on who Yomi-dearest should end up with? Most probably.

I'll put the pull up at the same time I put up Chapter 6, just 'cuz.

Speaking of the next chapter. I've been drafting it for ages and has taken up well over 15 pages of the drafting notebook(number of pages this one took). Just… the characters I need to characterize are so… GARGH! Hell, I might even ignore most of the content of the draft and just screw with the entirety of the of the next chapter. But whatever. You don't care, do you? I mean… look at the abysmal amount of reviews compared to the favourites and follows! Clearly, I'm being crappy and you do not care if the story you have invested your precious time in gets crappier and less entertaining to the point that Yomi commits suicide! Because you din't give any support or constructive criticism at all!(KIDDING! I LOVE YOU ALL! I SERIOUSLY DO!)

Review Replies!

lilsakuraxxXX: Of course, she is! The universe wouldn't be right if she wasn't.

Really could you point them out? Because if they're the simple favour, colour and what not I really do spell them like that, those spelling are accepted internationally.

Yeah… I typed all that. Uh-huh. *throws away evidence of copy-pasting*

familyoriantated: GUESS! CX

It's okay, people misspell things all the time!

Guest: Done.

Anisthasia: Thank you!

And here! ;D

Discoabc: HUN, YOU MADE IT! And yeah, totally! That's why I'm struggling so much with the characterizations! Some might not be big, but if you put in a character whose behaviour is exactly similar to the one in canon, improvement is very limited. It makes my head hurt. And I love what I did with Kyoko, that was inspired by you, ya know. Ain't you just feeling fabulous at that? :D Lol, if I made her know about the manga and the anime… what the hell would plot even mean, right? But yeah, I'm a genius aren't I? XD I never actually believed Iemitsu to be an ass, just socially awkward and not very trusting. But hey, fatherly instincts surface when you have a daughter, right? Right? Anyway! I'm glad you like what I did with Nana. I thought I was ruining her, lol. I think the fact that Yomi-dear will be an epically awesome boss has been established since her rebirth XD It's a cool tradition, no? Well, enjoy his reaction. I hope I didn't disappoint! *crosses fingers*

Onepicefannumber1: Thank you for the thumbs up and here is the update!
