A/N: Yay summer is finally here. Expect more from me. Or not. :L
We just had a storm where i live so...i wrote some shit. Also, TTP WILL BE UPDATING SOON. See? Give the genius time and she'll work. Dont give her any time at all and she'll rip your throat out.
It was finally the last day of school and Bonnibel couldn't help but grin in every lesson. Even as she was getting dressed for P.E she was smiling down at the floor, shoving her feet into her trainers before running outside with the rest of her group.
"Alright everyone, it's the last day of school and unfortunately for you, It's soccer time for you ladies." Everyone groaned, or tried to anyway. It was too god damn hot for football and even the teacher knew it. "And because she's actually good at football and doesn't mind skipping her free period, Marceline will be training you girls while i go help the new teacher with her class, she'll be coach." As if by magic, Marceline popped up beside the teacher, ball in hand and grin plastered to her face.
"Thanks miss." She breathed, her long hair was tied back out of her eyes and still managed to get in the way of her eyes. Those same brown eyes scanned the group before landing on Bonnie who smiled and waved.
"Bubblegum. Stand still." And with that, Miss Hawrad jogged away towards the other group of girls who were all playing baseball.
"Okay, so pick a ball and start by dribbling it between the cones set out for you." Marceline called, watching as Bonnie picked up the pink ball with glee.
"Hey, are you going to be teaching us after summer?" One of the girls, a brunette, asked while grabbing a green and blue ball from the basket.
"Probably, unless i have better lessons." Everyone nodded and began to start the exercise, one girl actually managed to kick the ball into an open window and ran inside to get it, coming out a few minutes later with a shrug and no ball.
Bonnie couldn't tear her eyes away from the other girl as she showed the girls how to shoot into the net properly, acing it every time.
"Bonnie, why don't you show us what you've learnt." The pinkette rolled her eyes and snatched the ball away from Marceline who grinned in return, stepping back as Bonnie placed it on the ground.
"Come on Marceline, i don't like sports." She whined, turning to her friend. Marceline arched a brow and stared expectantly at her, eyes flicking between the ball and the pinkette. Bonnie groaned and turned back to the goal, glaring at it with such intensity that it actually hurt. The kick was weak yet it still managed to get the pink and purple ball into the net. The next girl also kicked it successfully into the goal before Marceline clapped her hands and cleared her throat.
"Alright, now that you've gotten good...i think we'll have a match. Me versus you guys." Everyone cheered and got into their positions, Bonnibel was stood in the goal with a grin threatening to tear her face in half. She could see Marceline getting the ball ready before blowing the whistle.
The girl dived between the two attackers, dribbling the ball as she skidded slightly on the grass. One of the girls tried to tackle her, unsuccessfully. Marceline kicked the ball over one of the defenders heads and then smirked as she ran towards Bonnibel who was staring in awe at the raven haired teen.
And then she was running towards her, eyes set on the ball while Marceline weaved through the remaining players and before she knew it, she had the ball and was making it towards the opposite goal.
"You go bonnie!" She heard her team mates shout. Just as she was about to kick it in Marceline ran in front of her, re taking the ball, and shot it into the net at the other side of the net.
"Well done." She breathed, seemingly un affected by the running.
"I almost had it." The younger girl grumbled as she walked towards the changing rooms with her class mates.
Bonnibel was surprised, taken off guard. She hadn't been expecting a sweaty, muddy Marceline sprinting around the track on the field, still wearing her football gear. So this girl was a runner as well as a football -soccer- enthusiast. It really was surprising.
"C'mon Petrikov!" The coach, Miss Hammersmith, roared as she watched the girl near the finish line.
"It's Abadeer!" Marceline yelled back to the brunette woman. She practically fell to the ground from exhaustion once she was done.
"Sorry for keeping you behind, i knew you had to train the girls in football today." Bonnibel heard the coach say, Marceline shrugged and took a drink from her water bottle.
"No worries Beth, cant say i have anything better to do right now.." The girl trailed off, brows furrowed before a look of realisation crossed her face. "The princess!"
"I'm right here," Bonnie called from the bench she had sat on. Marceline turned and sighed in relief, thanking Miss Hammersmith before heading up to her. "I wouldn't have pegged you as the sporty type."
"More of the 'sit at home and do nothing,' type yeah?" Bonnibel nodded silently and stood up, following the girl to the truck.
"You owe me a strawberry." She whispered with a smirk, remembering the first day she had met the grouchy girl. Marceline arched a brow and grinned.
"That i do princess." The older began to hum happily as she rounded the corner towards the car park.
"Are you going to do the talent show tomorrow night?" Marceline stopped in her tracks and fell silent.
"I suppose." She mumbled. "I mean, it's not like i have a choice anyway. Mr Carrole has practically been forcing me to do it."
"I bet you'll win." And then, Marceline felt two warm arms snake around her waist and a small face nuzzle into her shoulder. From this distance, Marceline could count the other girls freckles. 13. She awkwardly put her arms around the shoulders of the pinkette who hummed happily. The action was completely foreign to Marceline and yet...it came so naturally to her with Bonnibel.
"You think so?" Two blue eyes stared up at her, searching her own for something completely unknown. They blinked once, twice, three times before she spoke.
"I know so."
Bonnibel found that Marceline's concentration face was utterly adorable. The way her tongue poked out the corner of her mouth, the way her brows furrowed when she came to a problem or the way she'd close her eyes whenever she began to mutter something.
The pinkette was currently sat on Marceline's bed, watching as the older girl writ her song for the talent show. It was coming along pretty well and Bonnie was even tempted to ask if she could stay the night.
"Would you two like something to eat?" Simon's head appeared in the doorway, momentarily making Marceline look up at him, then at Bonnie.
"If it's okay with you." The smirk from Marceline didn't go un noticed as Simon smiled and lead them downstairs.
"You're way too polite y'know." She muttered, leaning into her as they headed downstairs. Bonnie just stuck her tongue out at her and quickened her walking, getting into the kitchen before the other girl.
"Mum, what are you doing here?"
"You sound surprised dear." Richard commented from beside Simon at the table.
"Bonnie!" Bonnibel looked down at the young red head who had now attached herself to Bonnie's waist, a grin plastered on her face and a sparkle in her eye.
"Hey Goliad, miss me?" The young girl nodded before stepping back to stare at Marceline, a frown on her face.
"Whose that?" The pinkette giggled and turned to look at Marceline herself, a smirk on her face.
"Care to meet the family Marce?" Marceline scowled slightly at the request, her eyes roaming over the bubblegum family before letting out a sigh and drooping down into the seat next to Bonnibel.
"Sure, i see no harm in it." Bonnie positively beamed at that, her eyes flashing with happiness.
"Well...Robert can start." Her brother rolled his silver-grey eyes and shook his head, running a hand through his blonde hair.
"Okay, I'm the oldest of me, Bonnie and Goliad. I like biology, baking and acting. My full name is Robert Gilroy Bubblegum." Marceline snorted, earning a glare from Robert.
"Dad?"
"I like fishing, i work in the police force and my name is Richard Terrance Bubblegum." Bonnie's eyes flicked to her mother with glee, Helena chuckled when Marceline arched a brow at the girls unneeded happiness.
"My name is Helena Craye Bubblegum, i love my family and my job. And I'm happy that we moved here."
"Ooh, it's my turn! My names Goliad Alexis Bubblegum and i really like candy and i love the colour yellow and pink and green because they are so cool! My favourite thing about america is that i can eat ice cream whenever i want because its so warm and hot!" Everyone laughed at Goliads hyper self before Marceline stared over at the pinkette next to her.
"What?"
"You are part of the family Bonnibel." Marceline teased, poking her in the cheek. Bonnie crossed her arms in a huff, eventually giving in to Marceline's prodding.
"My name is Bonnibel McKenzie Becke Bubblegum, middle child. I enjoy chemistry, maths and reading. My favourite colour is pink. Since we're now doing what we like about america then..." The first thing that came to her mind was meeting Marceline, she quickly shook that thought away with a burn of her cheeks. "I like america because it's really given me an insight on how different people are here and i've met some incredibly interesting friends."
"Am i one of those people, princess?"
"You wish."
Marceline was sat, hunched over a piece of paper, trying to finish her song. It was stupid, five rounds in five days with five different songs.
"Gonna have to do some covers..." She breathed, looking up at her alarm clock. 1.57 am. Bonnibel was going to do a nut if she found out that Marceline had been up all night. As if on queue her phone buzzed next to her, Princess flashing up over a text.
Marceline Abadeer, i see that you're still online. I know you need to write the songs and all but at least get some rest. I'll be by tomorrow, Simon told me that he was going out for the day but he'll be back before you perform. Get. To. Bed. Xxx
Marceline blinked, looking up over at her computer on the other side of her desk. She had been using it as her light source since she enjoyed being in the dark more. She quickly typed her reply in and sent it with a smirk.
Oh, and why is it that you can stay up all night and i cant? It also seems that you are stalking me online Bonnibel. Care to explain?
She paused her jottings down to listen to the rain which was now pouring from the sky. The girl got up and opened her window, sticking her head out just enough so that she wasn't getting wet.
The rain calmed her, in many ways. It reminded her that the world was truly beautiful even in its worst times. She grinned and, very stupidly, clambered out of the window and onto the roof, the rain already making her clothes stick onto her skin.
It took her another ten minutes to stop admiring the lighting flashing across the sky and head back inside, immediately picking her phone up.
I am not stalking you. Can you here the rain? Hope it isn't like this tomorrow. Honestly though, please get some sleep. :) Xxx Ps. I woke up to get a drink of water, saw that you were online because my phone was on.
Letting out a sharp breath Marceline turned her phone off and began to take her now wet clothes off. Not bothering to get into her PJ's or to dry her hair she closed her internet down and turned her monitor off, enclosing her in complete darkness.
A/N: Alright, there you go.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter!
(I made goliad a red head because i dont want her to be normal. And we all know that Goliad's character in AT is definitaly not normal.)
