Chapter 2 - Space Oddity

Welcome back. I hope you enjoyed the last chapter. I certainly enjoyed writing it. I have gotten several suggestions for Stands, and I may use them. Props to polo5004 for the suggestion. I really do like their idea, and I am sorry for changing some of the things about it.

Since this chapter takes place in a zoo, think of the environment as a bunch of buildings surrounded by a lot of trees. There are numerous attractions, food stalls, and exhibits.

I don't own Jojo or Loud House. If I did, I would probably be lynched because of how I would write Jotaro.

Chapter Begin

*Royal Woods Zoo Entrance; Friday - 8:55*

"WOOHOO!" Lincoln yelled as he glided to the zoo. On his feet were his regular shoes with a pair of metal wheels on each. He was running a little late today, so he decided to try something new with his stand. This was the result.

"There they are," Lincoln mumbled to himself as the wheels seem to melt into his shoes forming a metallic shell around them. Lincoln slowed his pace into a walk as he approached his class. He hoped he was silent during his approach because he didn't want to attract the attention of…

"It's Lincoln! Kyaa!" "He looks so cool!" "He looked at me. Someone catch me!"

...Them. Ever since he started to act more independent and confident, he had attracted the attention of fangirls to the amusement of his classmates. Unfortunately, due to being raised around nearly a dozen women most of his life, he could only politely turn them down.

"Hello, ladies. It is a lovely morning today," Lincoln greeted them politely causing a large majority to swoon.

"That has got to be half the class, Linc. It's a new record," an African American boy with glasses commented.

"*Sigh*, I really find this pointless. I don't even get why they like me so much, Clyde. A month ago, they wouldn't give me the time of day. Now, they can't say three words without swooning," Lincoln complained to his friend.

"Cheer up, buddy. We're at the zoo. You mentioned that you were looking forward to the guest speaker. Though, you have been really tight lipped regarding why," Clyde mentioned.

"Well, I met him earlier this week, and he is a really cool guy. Though don't tick him off. I only saw a small sliver of his power, and it was terrifying," Lincoln said shivering.

"Really, what was he like?" Clyde asked.

"What was who like, Linky?" one of his fangirls interrupted.

"All right class!" Mrs Johnson called stopping Lincoln from answering. After a quick attendance check, she started again, "I know the school is allowing us this brief vacation from school, but you still need to pay attention. We have a special treat today as the Speedwagon Foundation has brought one of their marine biologists to give a small lecture on marine wildlife."

After she said that, everyone started to mumble about how what they just heard. Before they could get to out of hand, she cleared her throat getting her student's attention.

"Don't get too excited. Everyone will be required to write a small report summarizing what the lecture is about," she said eliciting groans from her students. "Now, now, I said small report. You just have to right a few sentences about what the lecture was about. After that, you are all free to enjoy the zoo." She explained getting cheers from her class.

"Alright class, let's head inside. First stop is the aquarium, then a small break at the Lunch Hall to write your reports. Once you are done, you are free to explore the zoo," Mrs. Johnson said walking into the zoo with her class following behind her.

*Aquarium*

After 15 minutes of trying to guide a group of rambunctious kids, the class finally arrived at the small auditorium by the aquarium. A familiar man with a hat seemingly fused with his head was already preparing something near a podium, and another class was sitting in one half of the auditorium.

"Good, you are all here," Jotaro said towering over everyone after Lincoln's class sat down. "I am Jotaro Kujo. Today, I will be speaking to you about the common jobs of a Marine Biologist," Jotaro started though his attention was focused on Lincoln.

"Lincoln…" Clyde whispered getting his friend's attention from his paper. "Why is he staring at you," he asked.

"Jotaro is the guy I was talking about earlier. I met him earlier this week and he is going to tell me more about his job later," Lincoln explained to his friend covering for the real reason he is meeting with Jotaro.

"I didn't know you were interested in Biology," Clyde commented.

"I didn't either, but when Jotaro started to talk about it, I was hooked," Lincoln explained, "Now, shut up. I want to here what he has to say."

*Lunch Hall; 10:45*

"Thank you for your time. That was a very enlightening," A blushing Mrs. Johnson said to Jotaro as the classes entered the lunch hall.

"Think nothing of it. Now, if you excuse me, I forgot to grab something. I'll be back in a few minutes," Jotaro said before exiting the room.

"What a nice man," she said stumbling towards one of the many food stalls.

"Ahem, Mrs. Johnson," Lincoln's voice stopped his teacher from going to far. "I've finished the report already." He stated plainly.

"Already?" She asked shocked before a piece of paper was handed to her. She quickly scanned the paper and found it satisfactory. "Alright, you are done with your assignments for today, Lincoln. You are free to explore the zoo after you eat. Be back at the entrance at 2 o'clock," she told her student.

"Okay, Mrs. Johnson," Lincoln told his teacher before trying to find a food stall with something he would like to eat. After a few minutes of looking, he decided to get his food from the small sandwich shop in the corner. He ordered his food and sat down at an unoccupied table away from everyone to wait for Jotaro.

"Lincoln!" a shrill voice came from behind him. He turned around and saw three of his female classmates standing there with trays of food.

"Can we sit here?" One of them asked.

"Sorry, ladies," Lincoln began apologetically. " I am meeting someone in a little bit to discuss something private. I must ask you to go somewhere else to find sit."

"But Lincoln, we want to sit with you! We can stay quiet about what we here." One of the girls said.

"I'm sorry, but this is between me and who I am meeting," Lincoln calmly stated.

"Come on Larry, let the girls sit with you. It's not like you have anything to hide," a snide voice said behind the girls.

"Good grief. What do you want Chandler?" Lincoln asked annoyed.

"I heard that you have something secret, and I just needed to hear it," a red-headed boy said arrogantly.

"It really is none of your business, but if you must know, it ends with business and starts with none of," Lincoln shot back getting giggles from the girls.

"Do you think you are funny, Larry!" Chandler shouted grabbing the boy and punching him in the face, sending him to the floor.

"Lincoln!" His fangirls shouted in tandem. "No!"

"Shut up! It pisses me off when girls freak out! Get out of here!" Lincoln demanded quieting down the girls and somehow not drawing any attention to himself.

"Okay," they said before walking away.

"Lincoln is so hot when he gets demanding."

"I know."

"He makes me so weak in the knees."

(This physically hurt to write this)

The trio of girls continued to talk as they walked away from a dumbfounded Chandler and an amused Lincoln.

"Are you afraid that you are going to lose in front of your cheerleaders?" Chandler said as he started to walk towards Lincoln before he tripped face first.

"I don't think I need to be scared of losing to the guy who didn't realize his shoelaces were tied together," Lincoln commented before picking up his tray to move to another unoccupied table.

"You better watch your back, Larry! I'll get you for this," Chandler yelled as he struggled to untie his shoelace.

"Good grief. I don't have time to entertain your delusions of grandeur. I know what you are really like under your facade, so don't bother me," Lincoln told the bully leaving him alone to fume.

Lincoln ignored the bullies grunts and groans as he failed to untie his shoelaces. Lincoln started to look for an unoccupied table before he spotted a familiar hat amongst the sea of heads.

"I saw what you did with your Stand," Jotaro said calmly sipping at a cup of tea. "It was a unique way to solve a conflict."

"He's not worth the trouble. Chandler is a bully, but he disguises it behind a mask of popularity. He may act tough, but he is so used to getting his way that he doesn't really know how to respond. If there is one thing that I enjoy doing, it is saying no to people who feel that they have a right to something that they have no real claim to," Lincoln said with a smirk.

"Cheeky brat," Jotaro laughed before schooling his features. He pulled out a stack of papers.

"So what's the verdict? Is DIO really my father?" Lincoln asked apprehensively.

"Unfortunately. Remember, you are not your father. You are Lincoln, Joestar and Stand user," Jotaro said.

"Thanks Jotaro, but what next? I am no longer welcome in my house, and I know I can't live by myself in that old house forever," Lincoln said sullenly.

"Don't worry about it. I've already talked to my grandfather. They both understand the situation, though I left some details out from my wife, and are on board with my plan," Jotaro began passing Lincoln a sheet of paper. He quickly read through it before rereading it.

"Are you serious?" Lincoln whispered.

"Very, should you accept and sign the paper, I will be granted guardianship of you. You will become a member of the Kujo family, or Joestar family should you prefer, and live with my family in New York," Jotaro explained.

"Do you really mean it?" Lincoln asked hopefully.

"I do," Jotaro answered.

"Then I accept," he said after a moment of hesitation before signing the paper.

"Very well. It was a pleasure talking to you, Lincoln. Now that I have your answer, I need to go turn this into the Foundation. Take this with you. I will get into contact with you when I have everything together," Jotaro said handing Lincoln an orange flip phone along with a charger.

"Thank you, Jotaro. I really appreciate all that you are doing for me," Lincoln mumbled still unsure about the situation.

"Think nothing of it. You are family, both by blood and now by adoption. Despite what others may think about me, I do look after my family," Jotaro reassured Lincoln before getting up to leave. "Enjoy your time at the zoo. We don't often get chances to relax." With his piece said, Jotaro left the lunch hall somehow not being noticed despite his size.

"Thanks again, Jotaro," Lincoln mumbled looking at the phone he was given as He walked out of the Lunch hall. He was about to turn it on before a small furry hand grabbed it right out of his hand.

"Hey, give that back!" Lincoln yelled only to stop when he saw the culprit. Holding his phone was a small capuchin monkey only about three times the size of his phone.

The monkey fiddled with the phone and seemed to type something. "I refuse. I now have something to talk with. If you want this, come and get it, two legger," a mechanical female voice challenged before the monkey smiled impishly.

Lincoln started running toward the monkey, but before he could reach it, a spectral astronaut arm swiped its hands at the ground and a small hole opened under the monkey covering it before closing behind it.

Lincoln stopped in place looking around for the monkey, before a nut hit him in the forehead. The sound of a monkey's laughter filled Lincoln's ears as he located the monkey on a nearby tree branch with a small astronaut about the size of the monkey floating behind it.

"Oh dear, looks like Apollo 11 is causing trouble again," a female voice said behind Lincoln. Lincoln turned around to find a female zookeeper holding a bucket.

"Excuse me, but what do you mean? Who's Apollo 11?" Lincoln inquired.

"Apollo 11 is the zoo's capuchin monkey and local trouble maker. She just showed up one day about a year ago and has been causing trouble shortly after she arrived. We never registered her, but she does stay with the other monkeys. She loves to take objects from visitors, but she never took anything of real value. She's really smart too, able to escape from her enclosure no matter what measures we take to keep her in," she explained.

"Ok, but why Apollo 11?" Lincoln asked.

"She loves anything that involves astronauts, so we took to calling her Apollo 11," she told Lincoln. "Thankfully, she always hangs around the victim for a bit so you have a chance to get your phone back. Now if you excuse me, I need to get back to work. Good luck," she said before rushing away narrowly missing a pile of nutshells that fell on Lincoln's head.

"Argh! I'm going to get that monkey!" Lincoln yelled popping his head out of the pile. Another nut to the head drew his attention to Apollo 11's location on a tree branch above him.

"[Virus Alert]!" Lincoln commanded as metal armored figure appeared behind Lincoln (I picture it closely resembling the Grand Chariot armor from Akame ga Kill) scattering the pile. Lincoln looked around before having his Stand grab a wire waste bin and throwing it at 11. Apollo jumped out of the way, but the bin followed after her. Just before it hit the monkey, the bin opened up like a net and wrapped around her pinning her to a tree near the ground.

"Now that I have gotten you, I'll be taking this," Lincoln said grabbing the phone from the struggling monkey. She chirped in response before her Stand materialized and swiped at the tree creating a hole directly behind her causing her to fall into it. Lincoln started to look for her before a small weight landed on his back. He looked at the weight before recoiling as a bunch of spittle flew into his face from the now laughing monkey. In his confusion, Apollo 11 took the opportunity to steal his phone once again. [Virus Alert] made to grab at her, but she jumped over the Stand and climbed up a tree several feet above Lincoln.

"Nice try, two legger, but not good enough. You will have to try harder if you want to beat my [Space Oddity]," 11 taunted waving the phone around before jumping away.

"David Bowie, really!" Lincoln shouted chasing after her causing her to stop.

"Like you are one to talk, Weird Al," 11 shot back jumping at Lincoln and swiping at the ground by Lincoln catching him off guard. A hole formed underneath Lincoln's feet dragging him into the abyss.

"I hate you," Lincoln managed to mumble at the laughing monkey before he fell.

"Oof," Lincoln grunted as he dropped out of the portal on a bush. He looked around and saw that he was dropped right outside of the gift shop.

Rubbing his head, he asked himself, "What should I do, now?" He looked for any possible tools. [Virus Alert] appeared behind Lincoln holding up a couple of metal chips from his body. "Not right now. I have a feeling we can talk this out," Lincoln said before something in the gift shop caught his eyes. "Perfect."

*South America Exhibit; 45 minutes later*

Lincoln was walking around the crowded zoo area looking for any signs of Apollo 11. In his hands was a small bag and around his wrists was a pair of metal bands. He was about to move on to the next area when he spotted a flash of orange in the trees. Quickly chasing after it, he was rewarded with the monkey running to an unoccupied table.

"Hey, Apollo 11!" Lincoln yelled getting her attention. She was about to run off when a waving Lincoln shouted, "Wait, I come in peace!"

"What do you want? Are you still trying to take away this device, two legger?" The monkey typed.

"Not quite, though I would still like my phone back. Before we get any further in discussion, let's sit and talk like intelligent beings," Lincoln said sitting down at the table. He reached into his bag and pulled out a bottle of water, a bag of chips and a bag of astronaut bananas. Apollo 11 sensing no bad intentions from the boy decided to jump onto the opposite end of the table. She hesitantly reached for the bananas before opening them and eating them excitingly.

"What do you want, two legger?" The monkey typed between bites.

"Lincoln," he said.

"Pardon?"

"My name is Lincoln," he insisted. "If we are going to talk, I want to be called my name."

"Very well, Lincoln," 11 said after a while. "What is your goal? I don't think that you thought that I would just give you the device if you asked."

"True, I came to offer you a deal." Lincoln stated causing the monkey to tilt her head in confusion. "You have been causing trouble for some time at this zoo, and I have the feeling that it is because you are bored," Lincoln started getting a nod from 11. "How about you come with me?" He asked getting a look from the monkey. "Here me out, I am leaving Royal Woods to go live with Jotaro Kujo in New York. He works for the Speedwagon Foundation and from what I've been told, they know about Stands and will probably have no issue with supplying you with a phone to talk through. Actually, being a company that focuses on new technology, they will love having an animal that can talk," Lincoln noted.

"Besides getting out of here, what is in it for me?" Apollo 11 asked finishing her bag prompting Lincoln to hand her another bag.

"Well, you will get a device that will let you talk to people. I'll provide you with food and a place to stay, and I'll see if I can provide entertainment. I'll also try to get you more of these snacks," Lincoln listed off.

Apollo 11 thought about it before typing in a response. "Get me a suit and some more bananas, and you got yourself a deal," she said.

"I'll see what I can do, but welcome aboard," Lincoln said putting his hand out for a handshake. Apollo had a different idea because instead of shaking his hand, jumped onto Lincoln's shoulder with the phone in tail. She started to play with Lincoln's spiky hair.

"Despite being so spiky, your hair is really soft," 11 typed.

"Thanks, I guess. Now, let's head back to my class. I can't wait until they see that I made friends with a monkey," Lincoln snickered getting a laugh from 11.

"I feel like I made the correct choice following you," she said from her perch.

"Hey, how about a prank for the road?" Lincoln suggested.

"What's the plan?" She asked.

"Well, I know there's a kid who will try to start something before we leave, so here's what we are going to do…" Lincoln said explaining his plan.

*Zoo entrance plaza; 30 minutes later*

"Is everything ready?" Lincoln asked Apollo 11 from his seat on a bench eating an ice cream cone.

"Everything is ready," 11 said using the phone eating another bag of astronaut food.

"Good, there he is. Quick hide," Lincoln said leaning back as Apollo jumped into a nearby tree to watch the fireworks.

"Larry, there you are! I hope you've enjoyed your snack because when I am done with you, you will be stuck drinking your meals through a straw!" Chandler yelled cracking his knuckles.

"That is sadly the most threatening thing you have said to me, ever," Lincoln said nonchalantly before holding his hand up when Chandler was about two meters in front of him stopping the boy. "I would tell you to stop, but I know that you are going to say I'm going to make you eat those words. Am I right?" Lincoln taunted pointing at Chandler.

"I'm going to make you eat those words!" He screamed taking a step forward cracking a pair of twigs under his foot. "What!" He mumbled realizing what Lincoln said. Lincoln merely smiled before pointing up. Chandler looked up only to be buried up to his neck in a pile of nutshells. "Loud!" Chandler screamed struggling to get out before a bucket fell on his head. On the bucket were the words coughing fit, which started to fade away. Suddenly, Chandler started to cough rapidly in his pile.

"Hahahaha!" Lincoln laughed rolling on the floor. 11 jumped down holding the phone also laughing.

"I got everything on video, too." Apollo 11 stated causing Lincoln to stop laughing to look at her before laughing even harder.

"This is perfect!" Lincoln laughed struggling to contain himself before walking away giggling to himself.

"What was that word that appeared on the bucket, Lincoln?" Apollo asked from Lincoln's shoulder.

"That was my Stand's secondary ability. [Virus Alert] has the ability to isolate and store even the most mundane of viruses, infections, or illnesses that were present in my body inside chips. He can place the chips either directly inside someone or a metal object which when contact is made, gives the person the virus in the chip. The downside is that any disease has to enter my body before I can use it," Lincoln explained.

"That is a scary ability. Why did you not use it on me?" She asked.

"I did not feel the need to. You weren't going after me to harm me, just goof around," Lincoln reassured her. "Plus, it could potentially be fatal to you. I don't know how a cold from a human could affect a monkey." He commented causing 11 to stiffen in his arms.

"I am suddenly really glad that I did not attack you," she said somehow sounding relieved despite using a phone to talk with.

"How would you have attacked me?" Lincoln asked.

"Like this," she said creating a portal and putting a stick halfway through before closing the portal. Apollo 11 showed the stick had been cleanly cut.

"Are you sure that you should worry about me? You would have probably crippled me several times before I would have be able to hurt you," Lincoln commented shivering at the implications.

"Not really. Before I can close any portals, they must be fully formed, and when they encounter anything solid when closing, they tighten around the object for a bit before actually cutting it. The portal edges have no actual friction," she explained. "I would have to use [Space Oddity] to physically close the portals and that would put me at risk."

"That's a relief. I guess we should be glad that we saw that we didn't have to fight in this situation. I have a feeling that this is a one time thing, though," Lincoln lamented getting a nod from Apollo 11 before she waved the phone in front of Lincoln.

"What is it Apollo?" Lincoln asked looking at the phone. "Crap, I'm going to be late!" He yelled taking off towards the entrance with a laughing monkey hanging on to his shoulders.

|Apollo 11, the Capuchin monkey Stand user, with her Stand [Space Oddity] has decided to join Lincoln with the promise of fun, food, and a suit. Later, Lincoln would have to explain the situation to Jotaro who would allow Apollo 11 to travel with them to New York|.

Chapter End

Finally, I'm finished. It took way too long for me to write this, mainly because I had to rework both Apollo 11 and her Stand which was the Stand that was created by polo5004 (mainly by actually creating Apollo 11 instead of using Tom), and I had to find a way to explain Lincoln's Stand that did not use magnetism and involved something that could be explained. Once again, I apologize for changing your Stand, polo5004, but I felt this was more appropriate.

In the end, I decided that Lincoln and [Virus Alert] would constantly create nano-machines that can deconstruct, construct, and analyze metal objects and the Stand, itself, at extremely fast speeds. The nano-machines are present inside of Lincoln's body and are what create the chips.

Before I forget here are Lincoln's and [Virus Alert's] Stand Stats:
