"Dragon Booster Academy: Quick-Silver Belles."
Prologue. —
"No Way Out of This Dark Place."

Opening Intro.

The Planet Earth; 2-&-1/2 years after "The Choosing," incident, but only 1 year after the "Damaged Goods," incident, both of which happened on the faraway planet of Draconus; on a farm outside of Jacksonville, Tennessee...

"Boni?! Keep away from them, you little mutt!" Betshuiva Odelia-Yochaved Penn-Chen, (her first name sounded like Batsheva or Bathsheba, & the 2nd part of her middle name sounded more like Yocheved), a.k.a. 'Boni', (which sounded like Bonnie), turned around as she heard her step-mother scream at her. Boni had a thick head of long dark strawberry-blonde hair that had a bunch of tiny multi-colored streaks the part above her forehead as well as being christened with shaggy bangs, a pair of big dark blue eyes that looked almost obsidian, lightly brown tanned skin, & a face with tons of freckles that covered her face all the way up to the bridge of her nose.

"But why can't I ride 'em?"

"Because I do not want a dragon-crazed freak like you near my little sweeties."

"They're mine as much as they're yers, after all, we're family."

"Get this through your stupid, ugly, luckless, chatterbox, little head of yours - there are no ties to connect us in any way, what-so-ever, that make us family, so we will never be family, understood?!"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Now, I want you to get back to your work, like a good girl, & no lollygagging or daydreaming about dragons, do you hear me!?"

"Yes'am."

"Oh, & Boni?!"

"Uh-huh?!"

"There has been something that has spooking the horses while they are out in pasture, could you be kind as to see what that is!?"

"Uh... Yes, ma'am."

"Very good. Now, get back to work!"

"Yes'am."

"Now, I will be off for a while, & I expect to see that you have finish your work, & done my request, when I return, understand?!"

"Yes'am."

Much later...

"O.K., gals?! Let's see wha's scaring y'all, every time ya're put out ta pasture." Boni said to herself as she dug up a tiny, wooden, box out of the ground. "Hello?! Whadda we've got here!? Well, I can't show this to my step-ma, she'll take it away from me — jus' she did with most o' all my stuff, 'cept for my favorite story-book, my Pa's satchel, a few hand-me-downs, & my mother's rather large bracelet." she sighed as she got up & bushed the dirt off of herself before she stared at the silver armband. "Why do I even bother standin' up ta 'er!? & why can't she jus' be happy with me & wha' I do!? Jus' once?! It's not like it would kill 'er."

"I wonder that myself, after all, since you know it's pointless to stand up & stray from your place."

"Mary-Lou?!" Boni gasped & panicked, tossing the box behind her back, as her step-sister came out a nearby tree. "Wha're y'all doin' here?"

"Oh, 'just checking on you, that's all." the green-eyed blonde replied to the dark-eyed dark strawberry-blonde. "What'cha got there?"

"NOTHIN', UNDERSTAND?!"

"O.K.?!"

"I'm... Uh... Sorry."

"That's better."

"Thank ya kindly."

"Get over yourself?!" Mary-Lou turned to walk away, kicking up the dirt behind into Boni's face. "& get back to work, before Mommy sees you."

"Yes, Sister Dear."

"Homely freak?!"

"Lackey of an evil witch?!"

Later that night...

"All right?!" Boni said, looking at the box as it sat upon her bed. She thought that finding it was the best thing to ever happen to her. When Boni's father remarried, her step-mother seemed nice at first, but after he passed away in a accident right after the sweet little girl had reached her 10th birthday, she slowly started to show distain for Boni; & with her grandparents having recently joined him a mere 2 years before the present day, Jolene figured there were no more 'family ties' to make her & Mary-Lou consider Boni as family in any way at all. In fact, there was barely anything in Boni's room to make it look nice; not that she minded, as she preferred living modestly. In fact, her room was built into the loft of her family's stables, which connected directly to the farm-house. "Let's see what we've got- UUUUURRRRRGGGGG!" she struggled as she pried it open with a crowbar, but not without the crowbar snapping in two like a twig, & the poor girl getting her left hand nicked by one of the box's edges enough to draw some blood, in the process. "Ouch?!"

"BONI?!" Unfortunately, her step-mother heard the whole thing.

"WHADDA YA WANT!?" She called out as she bandaged her hand, not realizing how angry her voice was like.

"WHAT WAS THAT NOISE!?"

"NOTHIN'!"

"YOU HAVE BETTER NOT BE LYING?!"

"I'M NOT?!"

"THAT IS IT, YOU UNGRATEFUL?! I AM COMING UP THERE! & YOU BETTER BE PACKED BECAUSE YOU'RE LEAVING!"

"I'm so dead?!" Boni said, slapping a hand to her face in shame, realizing then & there that she could no longer live in the only household she had ever known; so she gathered what she could into her father's satchel. But then, just as she finished & threw it over her shoulder, something caught her eye. It was a light, coming from the box, that now layed on the floor. "Wha' in th— "

Meanwhile, downstairs...

"Mother?! Do you really think you need to do this!?"

"Why, Mary-Lou, of course!"

Meanwhile, back in Boni's room...

"That light?!" Boni said to herself as she went closer & closer to the sliver glow of the light was tucked inside the wooden box. "It's... It's makin' all the pain go away. I... I... I feel like I'm free."

Meanwhile, back downstairs...

"Are you sure about this?"

"Yes!"

"Oh, my?!"

"That little brat will pay for disregarding me like that."

Meanwhile, back in Boni's room...

"I've never felt like this 'fore." Boni reached into the box, pulling out the source of the sliver glow — a necklace with a detachable sliver pendant that was a cross in the middle of a shape which was the mark of a eclipse, one that made to look like an Venn diagram with 7 rings connected to each other instead of 3, (& the first 6 rings were also encircling the 7th); — & stared at the item in question. For it was the most beautiful thing Boni had ever seen in her entire life! "It's an amulet!"

Meanwhile, on the stairs...

"That girl needs to learn her place..." Jolene raced up to the room. "...& I am going to be the one to teach her that."

Meanwhile, back in Boni's room...

"There's some weird writin' on the back of this... " Boni told herself while she put on the amulet, rubbing off the dust. "...I've never seen this language 'fore, but, I can read it; lucky for me I've always been good at figurin' languages out, even the animal kind, 'though it's cost me my rep' with my step-family... " Boni mumbled aloud as she was still so confused as to how she understand the language inscribed on the amulet. "...It says: 'Embrace the Spirit'?!" Boni gasp as her mother's armband suddenly pinged & flashed with a dull light, signaling an invisible force to prompt her to notice an indented slot on it the same size & shape that the pendant of the amulet was; she was compelled to remove the amulet from it's necklace & place it in the slot whilst she cried out the inscription again. "EMBRACE THE SPIRIT!" The poor unfortunate soul could only scream as silver steaks of light encased & engulfed her, & with that, she was gone. Her step-mother & step-sister broke down the door, but they were already too late.

Meanwhile, on Draconus itself, in the Wastelands of Loane...

Boom!

"Did you hear that, Blaci!?" Zulkyvi, (which sounded like Selkie), a silver, quadrupedal dragoness with pastel-beige stripe-like markings that ran across the length of her body from her chest to her tail, as well as six ear-horns, & snowy-silver-gray eyes grunted to a red & brown dragoness with a pitch-black swirl on her chest, Blaci, (although it sounds more like Blacky), with a pair of amber eyes, (whom was actually a black & maroon-pink dragonness in disguise, although Blaci only dropped the façade when Zulkyvi wasn't looking), as they walked along the plains. "What could it be?"

"I dunno, Zulkyvi, & I don't wanna find out."

"Well, I do! This is my chance to find me a rider to choose to be my knight."

"You're a wild dragon, Zylkvi. You can't choose a knight."

"I know what I am, Blaci." Zulkyvi snarled at her friend. "But if I focus on what I can't do, then life'll pass me by, & I won't even know it." she said as she prepared to say goodbye. "& that's not I want to happen. Besides, wild dragons have chosen knights riders before; my Abba was one of them, & he still is; even if he's free to come & go as he pleases, back & forth between living as a tamed dragon as well as living in the wild. That's true in spite of the fact he's not been with his knight since I & my older brothers hatch. & my oldest brother Yacob's now one as well! For 5 years now, although he often has to hide it; he may even get a lifemate from it. Anyways, anything The Great Creator wants me to do is always I can do, I can't help but feel that He wants to go, & He wants me to look for a knight; so I'll be fine. Good bye, good luck, & be safe."

"I'll try. Good bye, my friend."

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Wastelands...

"Are we there yet!?" a 18-year old, black-hairred, blue-eyed, light-skinned, boy asked. He rode on the back of a quadrupedal, blue & red dragon. This was Artha Penn, a.k.a. the Dragon Booster, & his dragon, the black & gold dragon: Beaucephalis, ('Beau' for short) in disguise.

"No." a 19-year old, auburn-hairred, brown-eyed, brown-skinned, boy, Parmon Sean, replied while on a quadrupedal, brown & green dragon (Cyrano).

"I'm hungry." 18-year old, turquoise-hairred, green-eyed, light-skinned, girl named Kitt Wong, complained, while on a bipedal, red & tangerine-orange dragon named Wyldfyr.

"I have to go to- "

"Now, see here?!" Parm said as he snapped at Artha's little brother, Lance. Like his brother, Lance had blue eyes too, but Lance's hair was red & he had freckles; & Lance also had a dragon of his own — Fracshun, a young, quadrupedal, blue, electric blue, & yellow dragon with a cartoon drawing of a dragon on his left flank, who was laughing along with his 12-year old rider. "Look?! According to my calculations, this is the area where a massive blue draconium deposit should be found, as well as a massive grey draconium deposit, & I needn't remind you that Conner said that we're here to find the Blue Draconium Outpost, which contains more lost pages of the Magna Draconus. Pages that will help us learn more about the Dragon-Human War."

"O.K., back up it there, Professor?! What more could we probably learn about the Dragon-Human War!?"

"Like... Uh... Oh, I don't know... Maybe... Exactly who helped the original Dragon Booster during the war?!"

"Oh!"

"So, what?! You think we'll find a clue of some kind to some... Extra firepower?!"

"Well, Artha, probably?! I'm not completely sure, but it's worth a shot, right?!" Parm told them as he looked down at a certain green draconium gauntlet resting on his wrist & gloved hand. "& I'd liked to see if I can find the amulet to my gauntlet, Doesn't matter if I find it or not. It's that I try."

"Then what are we waiting for!? Let's go!"

"We have to take it slowly, Lance. We don't want to risk a run-in in Hydracs, right Beau?!"

"Yep!"

"Hey, Beau?!"

"Yeah, Cyrano?!" Beau grunted in reply. "What is it?"

"I dunno, you jus' seem... A bit downhearted, 'dat's all."

"Oh, Really?! I'm sorry, there's just... It seems like there's... A empty space... In my heart. I don't know it is, but it feels like something's missing in my life, I want to find it."

"Guys?! I think something's wrong with Beau."

"He was just fine when we left this morning. Oh, dear?!"

"Phsst! 'Probably just a stomachache?! It'll pass in a few minutes once he walks it off."

"If you say so, Professor?!"

Meanwhile, back with Zulkyvi...

"Hello?!" Zulkyvi yelped as she wandered around the Grey Draconium Outpost. "Is anyone here?"

"Mnn?!" She heard a groan & gasped a young human girl laying on her side in pain.

"A human?!" Zulkyvi gasped as she rushed over to the dazed young girl's side. It was Boni! "Are you O.K.? Can you hear me? Any wounds?! Permanent damage?!"

"Whoa?! Where'm I? How'd I get here?" Boni looked around, but saw nothing familiar. Then, she saw Zulkyvi. "A dragon?! Ain't ya'll the most beautiful thing I ever did saw?!"

"Aww, sucks?! You should see my Eema!"

"You can talk?! That's what I call great! I can speak dragon! I can speak dragon! I can speak dragon!" She then said as she became shocked with glee.

"You can understand me?! No way?! Humans can't speak the tongue of dragons, nor their minds translate it. It goes over their heads!" It was then that a thought occurred to Zulkyvi. "I say we test this: Miss; if you can understand me, touch the tips of your claws... I mean... What was it Beaucephalis said they called... Fingers... Yeah, that's right... touch the tips of your fingers together without rolling up a... What's that word again... Fist?!" Zulkyvi commanded Boni whom did as she was told perfectly which frightened Zulkyvi to no end. "It cannot be?! Great Creator have mercy, it cannot be?!"

"Hey boy, come here?! I ain't gonna hurt ya."

"Hey!"

"What's wrong, boy?" Boni said, just before checking Zulkyvi out. "Oh, silly me?! You're a gal! I'm sorry, big gal. Yes, you're a very pretty gal, yes y'all are!" she then started to scratch Zulkyvi's chin, & Zulkyvi was enjoying it, until she take a whiff of the amulet — & not Boni's amulet. "What is it, sweetie? What's wrong?"

"No, it can't be?! The Gold Draconium Amulet of the Dragon Booster! Beaucephalis?!" she exclaimed as she smelled another scent in the air. "&... Something else?! It's... Oh, no?! Great Creator help us?! We've gotta get outta here!" Zulkyvi then began to tug Boni's shirt.

"O.K., I don't know what ya're talkin' 'bout, but somethin' must be wrong if you're gonna pull me like this."

"You don't the half of it! The longer we stay here, the more danger we will be in."

"Why?! What do you mean!? What's wrong, gal?!" Boni asked as she then looked around, but she didn't see anything. She was completely unaware that Zulkyvi was trying to warn her of danger, since everything about the place she was in was new to her & she was still trying to get her bearings. She then however got an idea as to what Zulkyvi was trying to tell her. "Y'all... Y'all want me ta follow ya, ain't that right?!"

"Uh-huh!"

"Well, O.K. then, big gal!" Boni replied as she quickly went on into some caves that nearby, but then realized Zulkyvi wasn't with her, & so, returned for the dragon. "C'mon, big gal, we're wastin' time!" she dashed back into the caves, but again came back for Zulkyvi. "Why don't y'all lead the way, 'cause I ain't got no idea where we're goin'."

"O.K., very well!"

Meanwhile, back with the Penn Racing crew...

"Oh, dear?! Well, this is odd!"

"What's going on, Parm?!"

"I'm picking up a very strong concentration of Draconium energy on my scanner, but... But..."

"But what, Professor?!"

"I can't seem to identify what kind of Draconium it is."

"You've gotta be kidding me?!"

"I'm not, Lance." Parm replied. "What's more, this Draconium seems to be just as powerful as Gold Draconium, if not more so..."

"What?!"

"...& it's moving this way."

"Oh, dear?!" Kitt said to herself. "That can't be good."

"It gets worse - I have also picked up a very strong concentration of Black Draconium energy, heading straight towards the Unidentified Draconium energy."

"Black Draconium?!" Artha said, pondering as he then softly slammed his fist on his saddle. "Shadow Wraiths! Word Payne's probably out to get the Unidentified Draconium for himself."

"Well then, we have to stop them!"

"Unidentified Draconium that's just as powerful as Gold Draconium if not more so?!" Beau grunted to himself before turning Cyrano. "Cyrano?! Do you know what this could mean? The Draconium they're talking about must be Silver Draconium! Yeah, definitely Silver Draconium. & the only thing that could have a very strong, moving concentration of any kind of Draconium is a dragon. Yes, that's it - a Silver Phantom-Class Dragon."

"Ha-ha! Nice one, Beau." Cyrano barked in reply with a laugh. "But we both know that Silver Dragons don't exist. They're probably an urban legend, a myth, a fairy tale, like the ones your Nanny Mrs. Penn used to tell you when you were a puppy to get you to go to sleep."

"Not true; & besides, no human even knows about Silver Draconium, or Silver Dragons. Not even &/or especially Mr. Conner Penn; it's the dragon's best 'kept' secret, after all." Beau then replied, with a longing look in his eye, as he began to explained a part of his life no one knew, not even the Penns who raised him. "Look, I know they are real because I met one once, & she's about our age."

"WHAT?!" Cyrano shrieked out a roar that rattled the whole area. He was so freaked out by Beau's confession that he literally toppled over enough to slingshot his rider & send him flying straight into the air.

"CYRANO?!" He cried out as he ended up on top of a tall pillar. "SOMEBODY GET ME DOWN FROM ME PLEASE?! I HATE... Heights?!" But what he saw from up there caused the fear to fade right out of him. It was Boni! "Who... Is that!? She's beautiful." & when he saw her use a rope she'd laced Zulkyvi's neck to swing from one rock to another, he realized there was something special about her. "Whoa?! So daring & smart too!" But then he caught a glance of Zulkyvi & the wheels in his head began turning. "What kind of dragon is that? I've never one like that before, not even Beau comes close. Clearly, for a girl of any kind to be with a dragon so unique, she must truly be wonderful!" He said in awe before he tried to snap himself back his senses by slapping himself on the cheek of his face. "What am I saying!? She's a peasant; no way my Mum's gonna let us be together. & besides, she'll probably won't want anything to do with me, let alone talk to me."

"HEY PARM?!" Shouted Artha. "YOU WANT DOWN OR NOT?!"

"JUST A MINUTE?!" He called back in reply.

"You just had to say something to him?!" Wyldfyr snorted at Beau.

"Great Creator please forgive me?! What've I done!?" Beau lamented to himself.

Meanwhile, back with Zulkyvi & Boni...

"Whoa, easy there gal! It's a good I put this 'ere rope on ya 'fter all, huh?!" Boni said, she & Zulkyvi were moving across robust & rugged terrain. Boni stay by Zulkyvi's side as she held onto a rope that she had tied around the she-dragon's neck. Boni was frightened, as she almost fell more than once, but she & Zulkyvi had already assured each other that as long as they stuck together & as long as Boni kept a good grip on that rope, she would be fine. "Oh, man! Now, I know what they mean by: 'Watch that first step, it's a dozy!' Man! That's steep."

"Then don't look down!" Zulkyvi mewed to her. "Humans?! Oh Great Creator, I wonder are they all like this, or is it just this one?"

"Ya're makin' fun of me, ain't ya'll?!"

"I would never make fun of you!"

"A likely story?!" Boni retorted with a huff, only to have Zulkyvi continue to drag her along as the pair climbed a steep stone pillar. "By 'da way, I don't think we've been 'troduced... " She then explained. "'Da name's Boni!" The young woman said with a smile as she offered her hand.

"My name is... " The Dragoness replied with a sigh & a snort while taking her beautiful long tail & wrapping it around the hand. "...Zisel-Zula-Zion-Shalev-Inbal-Simcha Tovia-Alize-Geula-Hila-Adi-Lian Keshit-Liraz."

"Zisel-Zula-Zion-Shalev-Inbal-Simcha Tovia-Alize-Geula-Hila-Adi-Lian Keshit-Liraz?! Ya've got a nickname?!"

"Zulkyvi." The Silver Dragoness answered with a gleam.

"Zulkyvi, I can 'member 'dat!"

"'Charmed, I'm sure." Zulkyvi remarked as she then flicked her tail in Boni's face. "We must get somewhere safe before the moons rise, or the Wraiths catch us. Because if we don't, Great Creator help us, it could spell our doom; have I made my point!?"

"Well, ya ain't needn't be like 'dat." Boni replied with a laugh before she realized something that sent a shiver down her spine & put a horrified look on her face. "Did ya'll jus' say 'moons'!?"

"Yes." Now Zulkyvi was confused! "Why do you ask?"

"Uh... 'Cause where I c'm from, there's ain't but 1 moon."

"What are you saying?" Zulkyvi asked as she didn't understand.

"THAT'D MEAN I'M ON ANOTHER PLANET THAN WHERE I'M FROM!"

"Zulkyvi, what's going on here!? Where have you been!? Eema's so worried, she's about ready to tear off her tail!" A unusually large white, lime-green & male Sky-Class Dragon came calling, but stopped in his tracks when he saw Boni holding onto the rope tied to Zulkyvi's neck. "RELEASE MY SISTER THIS INSTANT?!"

"Oh dear?!" Boni said as Zulkyvi's brother charged at her. "OH MY?!"

"Mikhealungto, stop!" Zulkyvi snapped at him! "She's my friend!"

"Fo' 'da record, yer bro's name sounds like 'dat o' a painter I once heard 'bout, who's got 'dis here turtle named 'fter him."

"You're friends with a human?! & a weird one at that?! Does our Eema know about this!? Is she your Knight!?"

"Wha'cha talkin' 'bout!?"

"I will explain & answer any questions both of you ask to the best of my ability later, but however we have out of here right now!"

"Wha'ever ya'll say." Boni just shrugged as she spoke. "C'mon Big Mikhy?!"

"What did you just now call me!?"
