Time was all they had. Time was all they needed.
The bullet was fired. The window shattered. The blood hit Willow, Tara's blood, and Willow's heart shattered into pieces.
Tara starred at Willow, and at the blood, with a perplexed expression. Then she was falling, then she was in Willow's arms and her body was cold, and her heart was silent, and Willow was speechless.
But then suddenly, Willow had so much to say. Willow's voice came almost subconsciously as she whispered the words that had been thrown to the front of her head, the words to change this, to bring her back, to stop it all.
The world stopped. Hands of the clock ticked backwards. Tara stood, and the blood on Willow's shirt disappeared and the window's glass was no longer broken. Willow eyes burned black as cole.
Then the hands started again. The bullet was fired. The window was shattered. Willow hit Tara and knocked her to the ground, the bullet shattering the bed frame.
Tara looked up at Willow. Willow kissed her.
Tara brushed a strand of hair from Willow's hair, "That was sudden."
Willow whispered, "I just had the sudden urge to be close to you."
Tara smiled, "I'm not sure it's physically possible to be closer."
Willow whispered in her ear, "Let's see if we can test that theory?"
Time was all they had. Time was all they needed.
