Chapter 3

Caspian cleared his throat.

"Aslan, I can explain," Caspian said, swallowing. Aslan looked at Susan who was wiping her tears away.

"It seems you do not have to. True love does not need explaining." Susan and Caspian looked at the lion both perplexed. "Do not be afraid, it may be a while but only time can tell what will happen."

"But what about Peter," Susan asked.

"Peter will accept it when he is ready." Aslan said.

"But we don't have until he is ready," Susan interjected. "We are leaving tomorrow."

"Yes Susan, that may be but we can not hold on until that day. Do not let Peter come between the time you have left with each other."

"Thank you," Caspian said as he nodded to Aslan. Susan smiled and walked up to Aslan, putting her hand on his thick golden fur. Aslan nodded back in approval before turning away. "Beautiful night," he said looking up at the night sky. "But, your majesties should get some rest. Good night." With that, the great lion walked away.

Susan stood in her place and Caspian came up behind her to put his hands on her shoulders. "Susan," He said massaging her arms, "Aslan is right" Susan turned around and looked at Caspian, her head shaking.

"Caspian, I can't, I'm sorry. Look at it logically. I am leaving tomorrow. I can't fall in love with you."

Caspian looked confused. "I meant we should get some rest." He said holding back a smile. Then he put his hand on Susan's soft face and she brought her hand up to meet his. "You are so beautiful" he said.

"Caspian," Susan whispered, but it was too late. Caspian's lips crashed into hers. She held back but before she could help it, an over whelming sense of electricity went through her body. Susan felt herself melt into Caspian.

"I love you so much," Caspian said pulling Susan as close to him as he could.

"I-I love you too," Susan stuttered. Caspian kissed her again.

"Let's get back," Caspian said as he slowly let go of Susan and took her hand. Susan blushed and followed Caspian back to the castle.

Caspian led Susan through the castle to her bedroom. "Here we are" he said. Susan nodded slowly and smiled.

"I should be going now," Caspian said. "Good night." Caspian turned around but Susan grabbed his arm.

"No," she intruded. Caspian turned back to look at her puzzled. "I mean, don't go." With that, Susan kissed Caspian hard on the lips, almost sending them crashing to the floor. She opened her bedroom door and led Caspian inside after her.

"What are you doing?" Caspian asked between kisses.

"I don't know." Susan stammered.

"Well logically it seems like you want me," Caspian said, his Spanish accent sending Susan through the roof. All Susan could do was smile.
