Windows into the Soul
Dean had managed to keep his food down for the last hour or so, and as a reward Gabriel decided to let him get some much needed sleep. And he would even go out of his way a little to do that for him.
He carried him upstairs, to rest in bed, and slid a pair of sweatpants up his limp legs, trying to get some warmth back into his body. He also slipped socks on his feet before crawling into bed to lay beside him.
Dean was truly a remarkable sight, even recovering from a half-week cold he was…gorgeous.

The archangel wrapped himself around Dean and instantly let his grace ebb into his human's body, giving him warmth and protection, enough to ensure he sleep peacefully for several hours.
But one reason he loved and hated him at the same time was because it was in Dean Winchester's nature to be stubborn. Which often meant the archangel had to use more…forceful means to give Dean what's best for him, rather than what he wants.
So, much to Gabriel's amusement and lack of utter surprise, he watched as Dean's eyes slid open, latching onto his own windows into the soul.

Gabriel played with Dean's hair to focus on something other than getting mad at his human. Why couldn't he just obey and stay asleep? How was it so difficult for the archangel to take care of him properly?
Nevertheless, he planted a kiss on his forehead. It was his way of telling Dean how much he loved him, that he would always be within reach.
"Am I really your universe?"
His first reaction was to smack him playfully, but luckily he thought before he acted and saved Dean the extra unneeded discomfort. Dean would get a rain check though. Tomorrow.
