"Lets kill someone!"

"Not now, Cicero."

...

"If I spy a singing bird, I -"

"Cicero, shhhhh!"

...

"Then I said to the baker, "You're not dead-"

"CICERO! SHUT UP!"

Crack.

The imperial and the khajiit stopped suddenly and slowly turned their gazes to the mountain behind them. A small snowball rolled down the mountain side, collecting more snow. It made its way towards the duo before crashing against a rock.

The khajiit's eyes widened as a huge sheet of snow came loose from the packed mound. She pulled on Cicero's arm, screaming "RUN!"

As the two ran, more and more snow and ice broke itself away from the rest and tumbled right after rumbling of the rock and snow that followed crashed within the duo's ears, making them ring.

The Listener yanked Cicero's arm when she spied a deeply rooted rock planted in the ground."Over here, hurry!" she yelled before she and Cicero dived behind it.

They watched as tons and tons of snow and ice tumble past them, crashing into other rocks and trees, even knocking some right out the ground. This went on for several minutes before the avalanche quieted out, leaving several lagging snowballs to trickle down.

The Listener clutched her chest as she quickly realized that them two could have been one of those trees, being knocked off their feet and being buried under feet of snow. That simple shout could have put their lives in jeporady...and she wouldn't have shouted if...

The khajiit turned a eye to the Keeper, who had a grin on his face. His eyes waved over the snow banks, taking in what happened.

"For the Listener, you do shout alot." he simply said.

The khajiit stared at her companion before she felt warmth flood her face and before she knew it, she tackled the mad imperial into the snow. He came flopping down with a yelp and the two of them went softly tumbling down the mountain side.

"Look at...what you made me...DO! We could have been killed! When I...tell you to be

quiet...you stay...QUIET!" exclaimed the cat as she tumbled in and out of the snow with the imperial. A lot of snow was making itself home in her clothing as she tumbled but she didn't care.

Cicero simply lauged at the small bats to the head he was recieving from the Listener. The jester in his head found it funny how the poor Listener couldn't and wouldn't really hurt him, it wasn't her nature to hurt the ones close to her...yet others...that's a different story.

Their tumbling came to a stop with Cicero landing on top. He hummed and laughed as the Listener beneath him huffed and puffed, trying to catch her breath. Her ears were sligtly red and it reminded him of blood upon snow...such a pretty sight.

"G-get off!" Listener shoved the Keeper away from her a she sat up, shaking snow out of her hair. Chunks of it stuck to her whiskers, weighing them down.

The Listener stood up and groaned before truding off.

"I guess we will have to take the long way." she grumbled, making her way back down the mountain.

This time, Cicero stayed quiet and followed.

!

Clang.

The door to the Sanctuary proceeded to let Listener and Keeper in. A hunched over cat and imperial came shuffling in.

"Go to the Night Mother. I think she needs tending." grumbled the Listener, making her way down the stairs.

The khajiit watched as Cicero bounced happily over to their holy matron. At least he didn't seem affected by the dramatic amount of wind, snow, and ice today.

Making her way down to the lower levels, she threw Nazir and the female initiate a curt "Hello." before making her way to her room.

!Next Day!:

"I caught...a cold."

The khajiit stared at the candle on the table, shivering within a fur blanket. She must have caught it from that stupid alvalanche and the ocean right outside. Stupid cold stuff...

The Listner's thoughts were interupted when there was knock at the door.

" *cough* Come in..."

The redgaurd popped his head in, holding a bowl of vegatable soup and a tankard of ale. A small smile was on his face as he pushed his way into the room and came over to the table.

"Hello Listener. How are you feeling? Shouldn't you be in bed?"

The cat groaned and sniffed. "I wanted to walk around."

The second in command chuckled before placing the ale and soup on the table.

The Listener mumbled a "Thank You." as she continued to stare at bowl.

Nazir looked at her for a moment before a amused look danced across his face."What's the matter? Too busy clutching the blanket to pick up the spoon?"

The cat scoffed."No! I'm just...admiring how the steam rolls..."

Nazir rolled his eyes and began to head to the door...

Just to be ran over by the Keeper.

The dark skinned male fell comically onto the floor while Cicero scrambled over him.

The jester ignored the cursing redgaurd and ran over to his Listener.

"Sweet Listener. Poor Listener. Cicero will take care of you. He would! Just like Mother." he rambled, hugging the khajiit's head.

"Thanks Cicero..." Suddenly, the Listener raised her nose into thw air before taking a few quiet intakes of air.

Choo!

Cicero and Nazir looked at the Listener, quizzing themselves on what sound she just made.

"I just sneezed! Leave me alone!" Listener pouted, wiping her red nose and pulling the fur blanket closer. Nazir rolled his eyes and left the room, closing the door with a clang.

The Listener and the Keeper sat in realative silence, only sound was the dripping of an unknown source of water and the whistling of the khajiit's nose.

"Listener..."

"...yes, Cicero?"

Cicero brought the bowl of soup closer."Why didn't you start to eat? Cicero knows that you haven't eaten all day."

The jester imperial picked up the spoon and promtly went ahead and held it in front of Listener's mourh. "Eat, Listner."

The cat's ears flushed. "I can feed myself, Cicero." she said cooly. Taking the spoon from the jester's gloved hand, the sick cat placed it in her mouth. The wooden utensil felt a little awkward in her jaws, considering the fact that she didn't have sizeable lips and a narrow mouth.

Taking in more spoonfuls of the warm broth, Listener realized Cicero had left his spot from beside her and was rumaging through the dresser by her bed.

Swallowing the bit of soup and letting out a small series of spine tingling coughs, Listener turned in her seat to face the imperial, who had pulled out her brush and comb.

"*Cough* Cicero-*Cough* What are you doing...?" she asked.

Cicero turned to her with a grin. He hopped over to the Listener and led her to her bed, gently pushing her down to sit.

"Would you kindly lay down on your stomach, Listener?" Cicero asked.

The khajiit looked at the imperial weirdly but slowly lowered herself onto the bed, placing her chin on the pillow. She felt Cicero shift around for second everything went still.

Suddenly, Cicero pulled up the khajiit's shirt up, causing a yelp. What was he doing?! Shifting around some more, Cicero placed ungloved hands upon the small of the Listener's back, rubbing it before placing a soft brush and smoothing it over the Listener's furred back, following the way the fur flowed and ocasionally taking out some small mats. Small rumbling soundes emitted from the cat, clearly signaling that she was enjoying the grooming.

"Cicero always wanted to groom a cat... well, one that I won't feed to my pet rat. Hmm, your fur so soft Listener." he mused, running a un-gloved through the semi long fur.

The Listener smiled at his comment and closed her eyes, listnening to the sound of the shushing sound of the brush. It was relaxing and her purring massaged her sore throat.

This went on for a few minutes, Cicero working his way over her arms and across her neck. Working his way down, Cicero peered up a Listener. She was sleep, with a tiny sneeze escaping before a sigh.

Ciceri smiled.

Sorry for the extra long wait.

I dont know if you noticed but I like somewhat short cute stuff that has no plot. So if you not into it, I believe this fic will be a little disappointed.
