I smile as I watch Capri, seven, Nattie, three, Miron, one, play in the garden, Capri helping Miron stay standing. I think about how excited they will be when I tell them that they are going to have another little sibling.
"Deep thoughts." Millie asks softly from behind me, her hand on her now very noticeable baby bump. Her and Pete were married last year In three months, Capri, Nattie and Miron will have a baby cousin.
"Just thinking about how lucky I am." I look around at the beautiful castle gardens and see Ed, sitting with the princess of Archenland, Payton, who is now his fiancee. They had courted since Peter and Millie's wedding. A little ways away, Lucy is making Fron pose for one of her paintings. Fron is the Duke of Galma's son. They have been courting for three months.
"I better go get ready for the feast." Millie says. Today is the feast to celebrate Ed and Payton's engagement.
"Yeah, I had better get the kids ready." I say. "Capri, Nattie, Miron, come on, time to ready."
"Coming Mamma." Capri replies. She picks up Miron, who looks like a miniature Caspian, and places him on her hip. She then takes Nattie's hand, who has the prettiest blue eyes like me and my curly brown hair. I take Miron from Capri and take her hand and we walk down the halls of our home. Someday I'll tell them about our old home in England. Capri barely remembers it. I'll tell how it all began. It was That One Night...
