A talking, happy-go-lucky giraffe swaps places with Effie just before the 74th Hunger Games, Freaky-Friday style. Oblivious to Panem's way of life, she unknowingly interferes with the Games' events, then busts 4 tributes out of the arena. With the authorities looking for them, the giraffe must now get the tributes to safety—but first she'll have to help them trust each other.

Roselyn Larson won her Games five years ago, and her life has since then become a never-ending trial. Forced into the dark underbelly of Capitol society, she doesn't have much to live for. Another Hunger Game is upon us, but this one is not like the rest. With a surgeon, an alcoholic, and a set of conjoined twins among our cast of tributes, these Games will be like none you've seen before.

It's cold in the Arena. Twenty-four go in. A sister, a brother. A star, a mistake. A mute, a singer. A psychopath, a wisher. An angel, a mother, a liar. All marked for death even if they survive, like many before, and many after. There's so many stories, so let's start with just a few. Let the Games begin.
