Hey, sorry I haven't updated in a while :-S my bad, just school, exams, life, job, all that fun stuff. I really hope you enjoy this chapter. I had a lot of fun writing it :-D So please read and review, let me know if there is something you want to see happen and I will do my best, or is this story a lost cause because its been kind of slow? Let me know. Also, if you read the prequel to this story you know I did flashbacks which were in italics, I'm starting that back up again in this chapter, and unlike in the first chapter, I promise it WON'T be something you have already read. :-D Oh if a person thinks something, that is also in italics but I try to be clear that its a thought and not a memory, please enjoy.

I do not own Sekaiichi Hatsukoi.

"Anyways, you want to know more about this bomb, talked to Onodera Hatake," Kisa finished. "So, you have my payment?"

Takano smirked, ever since their first meeting the "payment" had been a running joke between them. "Of course!" Kisa smiled and closed his eyes, waiting. Takano quickly pulled out the bag of Kisses candies and placed it in Kisa's hands before he turned his heel and walked out the room but not before, dropping the briefcase filled with cash near the entrance of the VIP section.

Takano noticed Yukina sitting in the bar as he exited. Several of the patrons were shooting Yukina dirty looks, not that it looked like the young artist/forger noticed. He was too busy looking at his cell phone. Takano had to smile as he finally walked out of the bar and back to his car. The only thing left for him now was to contact Onodera Hatake and maybe then he could figure out what was going on with Ritsu. "If I know more maybe… maybe I'll be able to save him." This one small thought caused a small bubble of hope to grow in Takano's chest.

"So there's nothing you can do?"

The doctor gazed sadly at the young man in the wheel chair. "I'm sorry. I told you though that this surgery was a long shot. Your spine… when you were shot, the bullets tore through some of your abdomen and went straight through and lodge themself into your spine. The first initial surgery you had after the shooting managed to remove most of the bullets but there are still fragments in your spine. As you know, it's those fragments that have caused your paralysis. Unfortunately, most of the fragments of the bullets in your spine are located in places in your spine where we can't get to them without making your paralysis worse. This past surgery has been the sixth one in seven months; your body won't be able to handle anymore. I recommend that you stop this. If you continue, you'll either make your paralysis worse or kill yourself. At this point," the doctor sighed, "you need to give up the idea of ever being able to walk again. You need to go home and adjust… well your life to being a paraplegic." The doctor briefly studied the young man before sighing again, "I'll give you some time," and walking out of the room, but not before glimpsing something shining beginning to flow.

Onodera sat in his wheel chair and quietly cried. "I just want to walk again! Is that too much to ask?" Onodera didn't leave the doctor's office for twenty minutes after that. As he wheeled himself away, Onodera tried to wipe away the remaining tears on his face. However, he found them flowing again and had to stop in the waiting area of the hospital.

"God dammit! This is pathetic, crying like a two year old throwing a tantrum! Stop crying already, fuck," Onodera thought as he furiously wiped the tears away. However, even as he wiped the tears away, his anger began to grow like it had for the past seven months. He thought about the deal Haitani received after he had shot Onodera, about Isaka san and Isaka san's smug faced bastard father when they had told him about why Haitani was getting off, and about how Takano had tried to reassure him afterwards about everything when he clearly had no fucking idea what Ritsu was going through. But what infuriated Ritsu the most, was watching Takano walk out of that hospital room, just fine as could be. Ritsu felt like he needed to hit something repeatedly but what he wanted to hit were all the people of Shade who had screwed him over and abandoned him. "Like Takano san," he thought. "Even he abandoned me. Even though he said he loved me, he's such a liar."

"Are you okay, mister," asked a young boy, tugging on Ritsu shirt sleeve. "You shouldn't cry 'cause everything is going to be okay! It's a new day after all," the four-year-old smiled brightly.

Onodera raised his head to gaze at the child. Someone so bright and cheerful, the kid had no idea what real pain was! How could he, he was too young to have actually have faced any tragedy. Ritsu wanted to wipe that smile off the kids face permanently. With as much rage as he could muster, Ritsu put a smile on his face and leaned close to the kid's face, "Fuck off you little bastard. No one wants your pussy ass sentiments." Ritsu smiled serenely as he watched the smile disappear from the child's face and tears soon replace it. The kid ran off sobbing. Ritsu continued to grin, but even though he was smiling to his surprise, Ritsu felt his anger continued to grow not wane.

"Was that really necessary," came a voice behind Ritsu. Ritsu turned his head to see a tallish young man. He was athletically built with brunette hair, seemed to be in his mid-twenties, and had piercing crystal blue eyes behind black rimmed glasses.

"What's it matter now? I can't take it back now can I," Ritsu responded, but his voice lacked the bite it had before. Probably because he knew what he said to that child was inappropriate and cruel.

The be speckled man, who was wearing a doctor's lab coat, study Ritsu for a minute before sighing, "I'm Dr. Nico Blanc." He held out his hand for a handshake.

Ritsu stared at the hand in front of him, in his mind he knew he should be polite and listen to the man but somewhere in the back of his mind, a warning bell was going off. Ritsu was not going to listen to it, but when he opened his mouth he had no idea that his instincts as a spy were still so strong. "My name is Damien, Damien Rowe," Ritsu replied as he shook the doctor's hand.

"Well Mr. Rowe, how about you and I get a cup of coffee," Nico smiled.

Ritsu was brought out of his thinking by two hands snaking around him. "Hey there," Nico smiled brightly, "What are you thinking about?"

Ritsu's lips twitched, "Nothing much, just have a lot on my mind. Did you find him?"

"I did he was right where you said he would be," Nico's smile widened as he showed Ritsu the photos. Damien simply nodded his head tiredly as he pushed around the food on his plate for breakfast. Ever since the bombing at the hotel, after Ritsu had seen that dark haired man with the caramel eyes, the Takano san Damien had once told him about, Damien had been so listless. Sure he perked up when it came to planning their ultimatum but otherwise, he mostly just kept sullenly quiet. The only other time he changed was when Nico made love to him. Nico sighed again, was seeing that man really so jarring for Damien? When Nico had said they were going to have to kill Takano, he had agreed, but it didn't seem like he fully complied. "That's not good, if Damien doesn't follow through with everything then… then he'll die, I've got to get him together," Nico thought as he watched Damien page through the photos. What truly bugged Nico even more however, was that this Takano person had called his Damien another name. "Did Damien really lie to me about his name? I've worked tooth and nail for him to trust me and for him to still be able to withhold such important information…"

"Damien," Nico whispered hesitantly. When Damien didn't respond, Nico tried again, "Damien." Surely he'd respond now, Nico was thinking, "This is the first time I've called him Damien to his face." Still Damien did not respond, but merely reached his hand up to his neck to touch the metal collar that was exposed by the collared button down shirt he was wearing. Nico sighed before using the name that Takano person had used, "Ritsu!"

Ritsu looked up abruptly at this, and turned his shocked gaze toward Nico. "That finally got your attention," Nico said with a hard edge to his voice.

"How did you…" Ritsu trailed off.

"When we were at the hotel I left a microphone on your wheelchair so I could hear if you needed help. I heard everything. That conversation… it didn't sound like one, former coworkers would have."

"We're not former coworkers though," Ritsu hissed, "We're enemies!"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Tell you what? My name doesn't matter anymore I've moved on! I know what I have to do and I'll do it even if I have to burn everyone to the ground. And we are going to start with him," Ritsu stated with finality as he slapped the photos down on the table. "I think I can get him to come with us without a fight, I just need one thing."

"Really, trying to protect a former coworker again? What do you need, a nice cup of tea?"

"One, we were never coworkers, he was merely an asset I used, and two, no I need a gun and a sniper."

Nico's eyes widened at this, "What but you just said that…"

"I know what I said," Ritsu interrupted. "Nico just do it and make sure the plane is ready to go!"

Nico nodded his head and moved toward the door, but not before turning again and saying, "You should have told me the truth. I've put a lot on the line for you and this and we are supposed to be partners in this." Ritsu made no reply as Nico left the room.

"Kisa san, what do you want for dinner tonight," Yukina gleefully asked as he walked out of Marimo Books to meet Kisa.

"I'm good with pretty much anything, just as long as its food," Kisa replied tiredly.

"Long day at work?"

Kisa merely grunted.

"Hi Yukina kun," called a group of girls as they walked by. One of the more forward girls boldly walked up to Yukina and Kisa and asked, "Can I have some of your time Yukina kun? I r…really wa…want to talk to you." Her face going red as she said this.

"Here we go again," both Kisa and Yukina thought at the same time. However, Yukina turned to Kisa to see if he would mind waiting but Kisa merely shook his head without looking Yukina in the eye.

"I'll take care of this quickly Kisa san," Yukina whispered before walking a few meters away with the girl while the girl's friend happily watched on with passion and hope flowing in their eyes at the delightful man candy their friend was with.

Kisa shook his head, while he totally understood that many people were attracted to Yukina he still could not get over how many love confession Yukina received. Though he was better at dealing with his feeling about this than he was when Yukina and he first began their relationship, he still didn't like it. "What if he has a girl that won't give up even after he rejects her? What if she keeps coming and coming and eventually finds out everything and then… No stop thinking about that! You and he have been going out for eleven months, you can make through anything together, just so long as you remember to talk to one another, right?"

Suddenly, Kisa's hair on the back of his neck stood on end. Kisa wildly looked around, "Is somebody watching me," he thought to himself. He looked around but saw nothing, "I need to get out of here!" Kisa started to walk briskly away while still maintaining his heighten senses. Kisa was so focused on his surroundings that he almost jumped out of his skin when Yukina called to him and grabbed his shoulder.

"KISA SAN, haa, huh, haa, huh, I thought, haa, huh, I wouldn't be, haa, huh, able to catch up to you," Yukina panted. "Are you upset about that girl? I rejected her properly and I think she understood." Yukina then got a really good look at Kisa, "Are you okay Kisa san?"

Kisa, by then had recovered somewhat, "Yeah I'm okay, I… let's just go to your place since its closer." Yukina nodded his head but concern was still evident on his brow as they continued walking in silence.

After a little while they reached a deserted street, and Yukina reached for Kisa's hand then. "What are you doing," Kisa practically shouted.

"Holding your hand," Yukina smiled.

"Not in public, I've told you a thousand times!"

"I know but no one's around, and how else am I going to make sure you're not going to run away."

"Run away? From what," Kisa questioned.

"From this," Yukina breathed as he swooped in for a kiss wrapping his arms around Kisa's lithe body.

"Hmmm," Kisa began moaning, just as Yukina pulled away.

"I love you… Shouta."

Kisa could feel his blush spreading across his face until he was completely red. "I uh, I umm, love your face."

"Only my face?"

"Shut up," Kisa screeched before pushing away as Yukina began laughing. Kisa turned in a huff to keep walking then when he noticed a black van pull up next to them. The door opened.

"Hello Kisa san."

"Ricchan," Kisa cried incredulously. "What are you doing here?"

Ritsu smiled coyly at Kisa and Yukina, "It's also good to see you as well Yukina, it's been far too long."

"Onodera san," Yukina nodded his head.

"Ricchan what are you doing here," Kisa repeated his previous question.

"Oh not much, I'm just here for a favor Kisa san."

"You know my business is held at the bar and I don't do things outside of there unless I have something to gain," Kisa replied. "Besides," his face going red again as he bowed his head, "I already have another offer."

Ritsu's smile seemed to become even more amused. "Yukina, the hands are the most important part of being a forger correct? So if something were to happen to them you'd be unable to work and therefore lose the protection of Shade. Kisa san, I'd like for you to accompany somewhere."

"Ah ha, ha, ha, Ricchan, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were threatening me and Yukina.

"Ha, ha, ha," Ritsu laughed, "No Kisa, no, I'm not threatening you, this is a threat," Ritsu smiled as he pulled out his gun and fired.

BANG!

Kisa didn't realize his eyes were squeezed shut until he heard Yukina cry out in pain. Kisa opened and turned to see Yukina on the ground clutching his thigh.

"You have two options Kisa san," Ritsu called Kisa's attention back to him. "You can either get in the van or the next bullet will blow his skull." Ritsu smiled serenely. Kisa's face could not hide the horror he felt as he turned back to Yukina to see the laser of a sniper on Yukina's forehead. "Or should I just put him out of his misery now?"

"Bastard," Kisa whispered.

"I'm sorry what was that," Ritsu questioned, his smile never wavering.

"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" Kisa screamed. "IT WAS YOU WASN'T IT YOU KILLED THOSE PEOPLE, THE BOMBING IN ENGLAND, EVERYTHING! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO SHADE, YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, AND TAKANO SAN!"

"Now, now Kisa san, you really are testing my patience or is Yukina one of the men you're hoping to break up with and just haven't found time to shoot him yourself?"

"FUCK YOU!"

"I see, well sorry Yukina I guess Kisa san really doesn't love you. Nico tell the sniper to.."

"WAIT," screeched Kisa san.

"Kisa san," Yukina whispered, his voice full of pain. "Don't go."

Tears streamed down Kisa's face as he looked at Yukina before squeezing his eyes shut and climbing into the van.

"Very good then. Good bye Yukina, it was wonderful to see you again," Ritsu spoke sweetly as he shut the van's door while setting his gun in his lap. "Start the car," he called to the man in the driver's seat. Kisa would you be so kind as to pour yourself a drink with that bottle and glass next you," Onodera pointed to Kisa's right.

Kisa begrudgingly did, "What's in it," he asked putting all the venom into his voice as he could muster.

"In the bottle? Nothing, in your glass, just something to help you sleep. Would you mind pouring for me as well," Ritsu replied calmly, producing his own glass from behind him. Kisa glared as he poured for Ritsu as well, noting that they still hadn't moved yet. "Well," breathed Ritsu, his smile spreading as he raised his glass, "To old friendships. Cheers."

Kisa stared at his own drink before glancing outside to see Yukina still lying there with the sniper laser shining on his forehead. "Cheers," he whispered as he downed his drink. It didn't take long before everything swirled around him and his vision began to fade. The last thing he saw was Ritsu sickly sweet smiling face. However, he wanted to scream at the last thing he heard.

BANG!

Ritsu took a swig of his own drink while looking at Kisa before sighing. "I told you I could bag him without him putting up much of a fight." Nico just shook his head. "Drive," Ritsu commanded as he began to down the rest of his drink.
