"Since autumn is a time for reading, I'm getting my hooves on all sorts of books lately." Rainbow said the twins, "I see, but that's so unlike you." Twilight said, "Though I know it's for me to gain knowledge, the expenses keep piling up." Rainbow said, "You don't have to buy them, why not borrow books from the library?" Twilight asked, "They'll have a lot of the books you want to read." she said, "No, libraries wouldn't go to the extent of having mangas." Rainbow said, there was a silence, "Mangas, huh?" Twilight asked.
We see Rainbow trying to concentrate, but she can't, "Can't focus..." she mumbled then crawled military style to her computer and turned it on, "You have to take a break every now and then...I'll do a little gaming to relax." she said, then her computer rang, "Oh it's Cheerilee." she said, "Hey, stop playing and get to studying! I'll be mighty mad if your grades are bad!" she read, "Dang, even the authorities can find me here!" she thought, then typed "How did you study when you were a filly?", then her computer rang again, "Played or slept when I couldn't concentrate, but as an authority figure, I have to be strict." she read aloud, then her jaw dropped, "I get what she means, but it's still unfair!" she thought.
We see the twins in a room "This time, I plan on setting goals and studying bit by bit." Sunbeam said, "Can you help me with stuff I don't get?" she asked, "Sure, let's study together." Twilight said.
An hour passed, "So in this case, X would equal..." Twilight said then noticed her sister looking at the clock, "What's wrong?" she asked, "I just realized my TV show's about to start, in today's episode, a tv reporter spread's the word about the main character's pregnancy." Sunbeam said, "you're gonna watch it?" Twilight asked, "No, it's fine, I'm taping it." Sunbeam said.
Another hour passed and Sunbeam started to doze off, Twilight then gently poked her horn with her own, making Sunbeam jump awake, "Um...I get sleepy when there's a bunch of questions I don't get..." she said, "So you're always tired?" Twilight asked, "I shouldn't extend myself right off the bat so I'll call it a day." Sunbeam said, "Alright, I see you're already losing your willpower." Twilight said.
We see Rainbow stretch, "I still can't concentrate." she said then we see her on the phone with Fluttershy, "You want a trick on studying tests?" Fluttershy asked, "I was wondering how you did it." Rainbow said, "Let's see, if you concentrate too heard, you'll wear yourself out, in my case, I just follow my usual habits." Fluttershy said.
We see the twins and Sunbeam walking to school, "So I'm pretty confident about today's test." Rainbow said, putting a hoof on her chest proudly, "Aren't your usual habits a bit risky?" Twilight asked, "You don't do anything." she said.
Sunbeam, Fluttershy and Rainbow are in the library, "But it's so cute..." Sunbeam said, "It's claws are razor sharp." Rainbow said, "I work with them all the time though." Fluttershy said, "Hey!" Twilight said, walking up to them, "Twilight, how'd it go?" Rainbow asked, "This one was pretty bad, although I maintained my standing." Twilight said, "So you also do bad sometimes." Rainbow said. "Because sis helped me, as a result I did better than usual." Sunbeam said, "What about you?" Twilight asked, "Strangely enough, I did bad, and I thought I would do so well..." Rainbow said, "Nothing strange about that at all." Twilight said, annoyed.
"But you know, I was feeling that birds of a feather flock together." Rainbow said, "You know, like Fluttershy and Twilight are both class representatives, Twilight and I both like games." she said, "Different genres though." Twilight said, "You play fighting games and speed games, I play guessing games." she said, "I was thinking Sunbeam and I were naive, there was a gap though..." Rainbow said, making Sunbeam jump, "So I'm not really concerned about doing bad." Rainbow said, "That's not the point!" Twilight said, "If you let your guard down just because everypony else did poorly, you'll get left behind." she said. Rainbow got a thinking face, "Or this time, I didn't bet anything with dad, so I'm not upset this time." she said. "I'm sure you'll never end up as a decent mare." Twilight grumbled.
"If you want to be like Fluttershy, you should take notes all the time, not just around the exams." she said. "Fluttershy's so neat, she's a typical type A." Rainbow said, "Oh, ponies say that often, but actually my blood type is O." Fluttershy said. "Really, type O? you don't seem like it." Twilight said, "Yes, but..." she said, then grabbed a book from a shelf, "According to this book, there are many traits of type O that fit me, like how ponies with type O are foalish and simple. I think that fits me." she said. "Type O poies are forceful, stingy and greedy..." Rainbow read, "so she has a side like that too?" she asked, "Rainbow, you're type A right" Twilight asked, "Yeah, though everypony else mistakes me for type B." Rainbow said, "Type As care about their surroundings and the ponies they interact with, they wish for peace in relations?" Twilight read, "Does this even fit you?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I care and I notice all sorts of things!" Rainbow said, "Only when it concerns your hobbies." Twilight said, "I'm calm and praise everypony else!" Rainbow said, "Only when your homework is involved." Twilight said, "You say that but what's your blood type, Twi?" Rainbow asked, "I'm type B." Twilight said. "Somepony that that goes at her own pace, rude, derails often, contrary, moody and doesn't think things through." Rainbow said, making Twilight narrow her eyes. "Trying to say something?" she asked sternly.
"So you're type AB then, Sunbeam?" Rainbow asked, "What do you mean 'then'?" Twilight asked, "Why?" Sunbeam asked, "No, just a random thought." Rainbow said, "From the image you get from your personalities, Sunbeam looks like a type A and Twi looks like a type B." she said, "We're both type B, or rather, we're twins." Twilight said, "Oh right, forgot that." Rainbow said, "Aren't you the one who does things at her own pace?" Twilight asked.
"When it comes to fortune telling, there are many methods, like with animals or rather, plants." Fluttershy said, "Plants?" Rainbow asked, then we see her on a computer, "So Fluttershy is..." she said, then an image of a posy came up, "Oh, so you're a posy." Twilight aid to the pink maned pegasus, "She's pretty even here." Rainbow said, "My mother's name is Posy." Fluttershy smiled.
"So what about Sunbeam and I?" Twilight asked, Rainbow typed something in, a picture of an azalea popped up, "An azalea?" Twilight asked, "Well it is a plant, that fits in pretty well." Rainbow said, "And what about you?" Twilight asked, "Me?" Rainbow asked, then typed something in, then she widened her eyes, "Blathnat?" she asked, Twilight couldn't help but laugh, "You're blathnat!" she said, "Don't make fun of the blathnat!" se said, "Well it is a plant, it has a place in the world." Fluttershy said, "Even azaleas are plans when you think about it." Twilight said.
We see Twilight look surprised then she calls Rainbow, "Hello Rainbow? I'm making sure about that blood type talk earlier today, but fraternal twins can have different blood types, so what you were thinking isn't completely wrong." she said, "Well thanks for being so polite, you really are honest." Rainbow said, "I'm starting to think you're type A as well." she said, "That's right, they were doing a psych test on tv the other day." she said "More like those personality tests, get some things wrong, get some things right, so no matter who ends up where you feel like the test results are close enough." Twilight said, "Twilight, if you keep saying realistic things, your life wlil definitely be boring!" Rainbow said "Why can't you act your age or something?" she asked.
"Sunbeam, you did pretty well this time." Twilight's and Sunbeam's dad thought, Sunbeam giggled, "Twilight, you seem to be dropping your pace a bit." he thought, Twilight sighed, "But Twilight's scores were still better..." he thought then smiled, "Thank you for the hard work, both of you." he said, "How to put it...you both studied and tried hard-" he said then Shining looked, "Oh Sunbeam, you did pretty well!" Shining said, Sunbeam grinned, "But Twily comes out on top after all." he said, making Sunbeam drop her smile and her ears, "Hey, Shining, can't you think of the atmosphere a bit?" their dad asked.
We see the twins walking to school, they see a mare, Golden Harvest. "Good morning!" they said, "Oh good morning." Golden said with a smile, "Twilight, Sunbeam, you're doing so well, I'm jealous!" she said, "Oh no." Twilight said with a shy smile, "Not at all..." Sunbeam said with a shy smile as well, "I hear you two attend Magic Heart, too, and further more, you're grades are at the top of the class!" Golden Harvest said. "I feel like I'm being complimented as an extra to Sis, I can't honestly be happy!" Sunbeam thought.
Opal yawned as the title card was next to her. "Lucky Ponies." the 4 mares said.
Twlight streated her neck, "Since we're done with testing, why don't we take our mind off things and have a blast?" she asked, "Oh that sounds good!" Rainbow said. "Would you like to go see a movie for once?" Twilight asked, "What's playing in the theaters now?" Sunbeam asked. "There's an amazing one playing right now." Rainbow asked, "What kind?" Twilight asked, "In a way, it's splatter, and on top of that, it has hints of psycho suspense thriller, a real treat!" Rainbow said. Sunbeam jumped. "Oh, then let's go for that!" Twilight said, then they started walking but Sunbeam stayed frozen, she hated horror movies! "Ok, how about we go home first then meet up later?" Twilight asked. "Let's do that!" Rainbow said, "That won't cheer me up...that won't cheer me up at all!" Sunbeam thought.
We see Twilight and Sunbeam outside the theater waiting for Rainbow, "We have some time left, what do you want to do?" Twilight asked, "Rainbow sure is behind, will she be late again?" she asked, "Maybe." Sunbeam said, "There's no way she would show up before us." Twilight said. Just then a pony with a hat on took her hat off and revealed it to be Rainbow, who gave Twilight an annoyed look, the twins both gasped. "Oh! I didn't even know it was you, until that thing came off." Twilight said, "Well come on, let's go in." she said, "Oh, can you say I'm your sister?" Rainbow asked, "Huh, why?" Twilight asked, "That way, I can get in on the foal's price without any suspicion." Rainbow said, "That brat, always making a fuss over the fact I'm older than her..." Twilight thought.
They came out of the theater later, Sunbeam looked relieved. "That was so scary!" a pony said. "I'm a bit hungry." Twilight said, "You're right, Sunbeam, you're hungry after screaming so much right?" Rainbow asked, Sunbeam blushed and nodded. "Where should we eat?" Twilight asked, "Maybe a cake buffet." Rainbow said, "Sound good!" Twilight said. "Buffet...the outskirts of a mare desires!" Rainbow said.
They were looking at the menu as they sat down. "There are so many drinks and cakes." Twilight said, "No kidding." Sunbeam said, "I wonder if we can try every kind." Twilight said, "For you, Twi, that's a piece of cake." Rainbow smirked, "We offer one hour courses, drinks are over there in the drink corner, and the cakes are in the showcase over there, please feel free to take what you like." a mare said, "Thank you!" all 3 said, the mare smiled and was about to leave until she remembered something, "Oh and we have a tax for any left overs." she said, "I see..." Twilight said, "Then please relax and have a great time." the mare said and left.
"I wonder how much they charge for leftovers..." Rainbow wondered, "There are ponies that take a ton and don't eat it all. Let's go!" Twilight said. We see Rainbow putting small, bite sized cakes on her plate, "Can you handle that all?" Twilight asked, "What? you too, Twi." Rainbow said, looking at her plate, which was pretty full. "This is normal for cake." Twilight said.
"Time to eat!" they said, then took bites, nearly melting from how good it was. They did this a few times but after about the third time, it got unbearable. "This is getting a bit out of hoof..." Rainbow said with a pained expression, "We took too much..." Twilight said, "But they'll charge extra for leftovers!" Sunbeam said, "That's not good!" Rainbow said, she tried to eat one more but couldn't. "So painful...I can't..." she said, "Our time's almost up!" Twilight said then slowly ate two pieces at once, "Whoa you ate them!" Rainbow said, "It'd be a waste, otherwise!" Twilight said, Sunbeam tried to eat but she couldn't, "I can't..." she said and was about to sip her water until Twilight stopped her. "Wait! don't drink it, if you drink too much, you can't eat!" Twilight said, then saw Rainbow, "You too! cram as much down your throat as you can!" she said, "I can't..." Rainbow said, "You can take pudding or a cream!" Twilight said, "Can't you eat that?" Rainbow asked, "I'm stuffed too!" Twilight said, as they argued, Sunbeam tucked her ears down, "I can't have fun like this..." she thought.
The next day, we see them walking to school. "The tests are over, so I really gamed my heart out for the first time in awhile!" Rainbow said, "Thanks to that I'm really sleepy." she said, "If you could study that hard, your test scores would be different." Twilight said, "The cute filly games have lots of places to save, but I just can't find a good place to stop." Rainbow said, "After all, I'm not the type to finish in one sitting." she said, "I've always wondered, but students can't buy games like that right? How do you get them?" Twilight asked, "Dad buys them for me." Rainbow said, "What!?" both the twins jumped.
Then we see her talking to Fluttershy, "And so, I'm so sleepy." Rainbow said, "Fluttershy, you don't look like the type to play games." she said, "well, we don't have any game consoles, but we do have a computer so I play a small bit." Fluttershy said, "Oh, what kind of games do you play?" Rainbow asked, "Things like Solitaire and Minesweeper." Fluttershy said, "No...that's not a mistake but those aren't the games I mean..." Rainbow thought. "But I kinda get it, with games like that, somehow you really end up getting into it." Sunbeam said, "How good are your scores?" she asked. "Solitaire depends on luck, but I get over 10,000 points pretty often. As for Minesweeper, I finally got 100 seconds on Expert." Fluttershy said. "I see." Sunbeam said, "Ponies like that play stuff like that over and over..." Rainbow said.
"There are all sorts of things going on in the world of sports this year." Sunbeam said to Fluttershy, "Yes, that figure skater won the gold medal in the Winter Olympics, and the high school baseball tournament got really rowdy with such an amazing game." Fluttershy said, "Yup, you mean Prince Hoofkerchief, right?" Sunbeam asked. "Speaking of baseball, that one player went to Canterlot, right?" Twilight asked, "Hey, is the Ponyville Series already over?" Rainbow asked, "Way past." Twilight said, making Rainbow jump. "No way! were there any bargain sales this year?" she asked, "This year Ponyville Series was between here and thereso it didn't involve any supermarket or department stores." Twilight said. "But they had sales that took advantage of it all." Sunbeam said. "But in the end it was just blocks of hey on sale..." Rainbow said. "I think they did have that." Sunbeam said. "In any case next year, I should keep an eye on it." Rainbow said.
"Knowing you, it's all about buying sweets and stuff, right?" Twilight asked, "No, I mean stuff like salt, sugar, soy sauce, all the stuff we use at home." Rainbow said, making Twillight get a surprised look, "Well you wouldn't know what I'm talking about." Rainbow said, smirking a little. "Excuse me! I know I'm bad at household chores!" Twilight said.
We see Fluttershy trying to get her eye drops in, but she keeps flinching. "Eye drops? I can help!" Rainbow said. "Oh thank you." Fluttershy said, "Ok, now lie down face up." Rainbow saidFluttershy laid down as she was told. "Now relax." Rainbow said, she tried to get a drop in but Fluttershy flinched, she tried again and the timid pegasus still flinched, Rainbow eventually had to hold her eye open. "I' sorry but..your face is scary!" Fluttershy said.
We see Rainbow writing something and Twilight looked, "The problems with giveaways and stuff is that it takes time for the good to arrive." Twilight said, "That's where I found to enjoy giveaways twice, Twi." Rainbow said, "What's thaat?" Twilight asked, "First you enjoy it like a festival, and then you get happy again when the good arrive right around when you forgot you even entered." Rainbow said, then went back to writing, "I hate waiting in the first place, but if you can be so positive about it..." Twilight thought.
We see Opal asleep. "Lucky Ponies." all 4 said.
"LUCKY PONY CHANNEL!" Diamond Tiara said, "Hi! Today we'd like to bring your Lucky Pony channel in a lively manner, time goes by so quickly, it's already the ninth installment!I'm Diamond Tiara, and this is somepony who will be called out by our director, Perfect Angle, like 'Silver Spoon, come here!'" she said, "Really? Devoting 100% of my time to being Diamond Tiara's assistant, I'm Silver Spoon, nice to see you all!" Silver said, "Now today is the third time we'll be showing introducing a character, this time it will be Sunbeam Sparkle!" Diamond said, "Finally things are picking up!" she said, "Yeah, I feel recinch our loincloths and do our best." Silver said, "Loincloths? I am an idol you know, so things like that are..." Diamond said, getting irritated.
"Oh that's right...well..." Silver said, "I may be going out of my way to say this, but I'll tell you one thing..." Diamond said, "Going out of your way?" Silver asked, "When a comic can't manage anything but potty humor, it's all over..." Diamond said, "I was a comic?" Silver asked, "That and coming up with the same topic, you've been doing that a lot so be careful." the pink filly said, "Sure." Silver said, "And so, what were we talking about today?" Diamond asked, "Oh, we were introducing Sunbeam Sparkle." Silver said.
"Oh you mean that To he-?" Diamond asked before she was cut off by Silver, "Miracle!" Silver said, "Right?" Diamond asked. "You'd say stuff like that?" Silver asked, "What is it...the character seems like an idol from the previous generation right?" Diamond asked, "I guess..." Silver said, "Well, Sunbeam, if you say that she's an idol, it's not the case she wouldn't look like an idol." Silver said, Diamond put a horseshoe down and threw it towards Silver. "Don't make me laugh!" she snapped, "Sunbeam Sparkle is an idol!?" she snarled, "Where did you get that from!?" Silver asked, rubbing the bump on her head, "You know, you've been working with me like this, so why don't you learn about what being an idol is about?" Diamond asked, "R-Right..." Silver said, "Sunbeam Sparkle is only a healing type with a face that looks like she has no happiness right?" Diamond asked, "I see, maybe her face lacks happiness..." Silver said, "In this case, Sunbeam doesn't really matter here." Diamond said, taking the picture and throwing it, "I'll teech you right here the basic notions of what an idol is!" she said, handing Silver a camera, "First off, how your pictures are taken, you know, this will be a learning experience for you too, so put some effort into listening!" she said, "Right!" Silver said.
"You know how your picture gets taken suddenly in the streets?" she asked before putting an innocent face on, "Now put the shutter down, a face lacking in happiness?" she asked, Silver took a photo, Diamond looked silly. "Well it goes something like this, props are necessary items too." she said, getting a tennis racket and a fake flower out, "It's best if you have them out at all times." she said, "Where?" Silver asked, "That, and when you're walking down the street, it'd be bad if somepony caught a snap if you were off guard, so you should be tense at all times." Diamond said, "And make your teeth really white!" she said as she grinned, "And then the eyes should be as round as an acorn, and wide open, express laughter with this area." she said, gesturing to her face. "Scary..." Silver said.
"The expression should be made up as natural as possible, for instance, if a camera were to be pointed at you here...'Diamond is so surprised!'' she said, putting a surprised face on, "Just like that." she said, "I see...naturally, huh? Silver asked, "That's right, also as a variation..." Diamond said, just then, the theme played.
"Too bad! it's time for us to say goodbye already!" she said, "And so, please send questions and praise to me as well as comments about the show to this segment as well as others! We also accept submissions on our radio show and homepage!" she said, "See you again, please look forward to the next episode!" Silver said.
The title card popped up.
"A photo shoot, we had one!" Diamond said.
"Yeah, we did one." Silver said.
"Yeah, how was it?"
"I wore a pink dress..."
"Oh, you were so cute."
"Thanks! ...is something the matter? Not so? Everypony commented on the cuteness."
"That's right...you were all worked up, you seemed to be having fun."
"You know, kinda looking up at the camera, and folding your hooves underneath your chin...it was fun."
"Maybe you didn't get enough of it."
"Well, frilly things included, I didn't enjoy all of it."
"Have you checked the photos?"
"Not yet."
"the manager looked at them and said a few shots were...problematic."
"Well I have no problem with that."
The screen turned black.
