The Basilik

When the Basilik came around the corner and looked at Harry Potter, Harry instead of being petrified or dying, blinked as did the Basilik as a magical figure appeared between them.
It spoke snake language and said "the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will have power he knows not.." and the Basilik died when it realized it did not have the power to kill the human standing before him.
The figure then told Harry Potter, "there was a prophecy made that says only the one born as the 7th month dies can kill the Dark Lord and only that one can be killed by the Dark Lord. Even though the Basilik was controlled by the Dark Lord, it is not the Dark Lord." And so magic took the life and power of the Basilik and transferred it to Harry Potter.
The magical figure told harry that since the Dark Lord was trying to cheat the prophecy, the Dark Lord would not be allowed to win. The the magical figure left telling Harry to stab the TM Riddle diary with a Basilik fang. He did so and the ghostly figure of a young tom riddle died.
After his Hogwarts Graduation Harry used his Basilik vision to kill off the Dark Lord and his death eaters. Their spells bounced off his Basilik skin.
When Harry went to the Goblins bank, Gringotts, he applied for the formsem RIGHT OF CONQUEST and ended up claiming the fortunes of those who died at his hands in the Great Battle of Hogwarts.
