It was March 24th the anniversary when Ezra Bridger's parents died, the crew of the ghost was going to have to be careful about what they say around Ezra today.

"guys we are gonna have to be careful what we say around Ezra today since today is the eight year anniversary since his parents died especially you Zeb." Kanan explained to the crew and gave Zeb a warning glare.

Kanan walked around the ghost then he heard crying coming from the briefing room , the cries belonged to his padawan, " Ezra what's wrong?" Kanan asked his friend

" its nothing master I promise ." Ezra said and smiled a weak smile.

" Ezra are you sure I've never heard you cry this hard before." Kanan said to Ezra

Ezra drew his knees to his chest and he laid his head between his knees, Kanan moved so he could sit on his knees in front of Ezra .

Kanan wrapped his arms around Ezra as he let Ezra cry into his chest . Kanan started to pet Ezra's raven hair murmured soothingly.

" Kanan?" Hera asked and then she saw why Kanan left his room , Hera's heart broke when she saw Ezra crying against Kanan's chest.

" Ezra lets get some food in you you'll feel better ." Kanan said

Kanan , Hera and Ezra walked down to the mess hall , Ezra was silent the entire way down which puzzle the two because normally you can never get Ezra to stop talking .

Kanan got some food for the 3 of them. " Ezra, Kanan told me what's going on please tell me?" Hera said

" I don't feel like it." Ezra said stubbornly

" come on padawan you'll feel better if you do." Kanan pressed on

" I don't feel like it ok!" Ezra raised his voice.

" Ezra try to calm down you'll make yourself even more upset if you yell anymore." Kanan said calmly as he started to rub Ezra's back.

" ok the reason I've been upset all day today is because today has been eight years since my parents died and I've been trying to avoid the tears that wanna come but it's getting harder and harder". Ezra explained as the tears started to fall from his eyes.

Kanan and Hera looked at each other and they both wrapped their arms around Ezra's shaking body , " shh it's gonna be ok Ezra." Kanan and Hera said soothingly to Ezra,but it did no good .

Kanan got some tissues for Ezra , " thanks Kanan and Hera for staying up with me I think I'm ready to eat." Ezra said with a smile.
