I figured some entertainment could keep my mind away from the disturbing thoughts.

I swiveled my cushioned chair around and sat down facing the computer monitor. My fingers tapped the keyboard rapidly into the Google search engine. Sweat was coming off of me in waves, I hadn't been this nervous before. I took a deep breath and held it for a moment,I shivered as a chill crept up my spine. I swerved around to face the open room.

Could have sworn someone was there…. My mind is playing tricks on me. I'm getting too tired….

However I felt a frozen pelt of breath on my neck. It tingled on my skin as goosebumps arose. My hair stood on end, I felt a sick sensation turn my stomach as I held back bile. An awful smell assaulted my nostrils as involuntary stomach acid crawled up my throat burning the lining. The room wreaked of old, putrid meat just sitting in the sun spoiling. I swallowed harshly and took yet another deep breath. I closed my eyes taking in more, calming breaths. Very slowly my body calmed. Until an abrupt sharp tap on my shoulder startled me. I turned back around only to see him. His yellow rotten smile sneering at me from ear to pointed ear. His deadened blue eyes filmed over with a glossy pale white. His leathery scorched skin binding his muscle inside his tarnished body. His lengthy arms stretched to unnatural proportions and outstretched to me, hands resting on my shoulders. And finally his gleaming silver talons perched on his right hand, a small amount of burgundy rust crusted onto them.

"Goodnight my Dear and welcome back." He spoke with a wheezed and graveled voice that made my skin crawl.

I pushed back into the open space of my room and ran towards the door. Jiggling the handle, it was clearly jammed.

"That wouldn't do you any good even if you could get out. Remember? You're in my world." He laughed harshly.

"Leave me alone!" I yelled holding my head.

"You should have left me alone! But no, you went and got me killed didn't you?! You ran to Mommy and Daddy about your little problems!" He took strides to me in anger.

I closed my eyes again and thought quickly. I turned to the door and arched my head back, then with brute force I flung my head into the door. Again and again I proceeded. On the third try in attempt of awaking myself, through indulgence of pain, the door shattered to fragments and splinters.I fell straight through into an abyss and landed onto a metal row of lockers. I felt a couple of sharp stings surge in my chest. I let out a loud scream that echoed off of the empty walls. Both caused from the extremely apparent broken ribs down to my knowledge of where I was. Steam filled the air in thickened bellows, clouding my vision to a horrid extent. Slowly I moved to the edge of the lockers and placed a foot over towards the ground trying to get off however only fell onto the cold concrete of the large building.I shuddered in a shallow breath as my arm was now in a twisted unnatural angle, my forearm fixed into a curved arc and swollen. My elbow had come out of socket from the hard fall. I stood up shakily and held my arm so I wouldn't cause myself too much pain. I couldn't allow pain to undermine me from my task. I needed to focus and pay attention.

If I wanted to live I would need to be alert to all of my surroundings. Above me was perches of catwalks hung by rusted and ruined metal pipes. The walls were baren metal sheets and was only garnished with more pipes and wires strung into bundles rising vertically upwards. The floor was blanketed with loose sawdust gathered up over the years, no doubt. It gave a keen resemblance to dirty snow due to it's color.A laugh erupted throughout the carcass of the abandoned building bouncing off the walls and infiltrating my ears. A piercing screech of metal followed after like nails upon a cracked chalk board. I heard footsteps intensify and get closer. Through the thick mist a shadowed figure peered and formed into him.

The footsteps quickened in pace as he grew nearer. molten sparks flew from his talons scraping against the railing, leading towards me. He enjoyed that tactic to induce fear far too much. The sparks and mist perceived him as a disgusting abomination spawned from the depths only to wreak havoc and cause chaos in our most vulnerable of states. This earns him a rank of demon among most, however my vision only describes him as an impulsive coward preying upon those in their most peaceful states. Of this realization, the thought of death became intolerable and a mere nuisance. I looked to my arm, grasping it tightly I began to pull. I tugged and shoved the dislocated limb in many different angles to spur as much pain as I could. I felt my consciousness losing it's grip on his hellish wonderland. My eyelids flicked open once again to a blinding light as dull stings filled my limbs. I was in my bedroom, cocooned in the knitted sheets of my bed, as before I had retained the same injuries from my sleeping episode.
