Once again I am blinded by the lights. I've been so distracted thinking about her that I can barely register where I am or what I'm doing. My eyes go to the crowed. Girls are screaming and giggling towards me but my eyes fall towards my parents. They are here supporting me, like they had always done.
My mother gives me a small smile and I return it before I hear the hostess start talking and I am obligated to look at her and smile. "Before commercial Naruto Uzumaki was giving us in great detail how he met this girl" she explained to the camera before she looked at me. "It's safe to say that it was love at first sight" she says.
I know she saying it because it will bring ratings, because everyone is more entitle to relate to my story if I do agree with her statement but I agree not because of the ratings but because it's true. She was on my mind since the first moment I laid eyes on her. I have no doubt in my mind that I was in love with her since that first moment.
"So you were telling me that after you stalked her…"
"I wouldn't call it stalk" I say and chuckle and everyone else laughs.
"Right, after you followed her to her work place" she said, her eyes winding to the camera making the viewer's laugh. "She agree to go on a date" She explains and looks at me, looking at me for confirmation and I nod. "How did that go?" she asked.
"It went well, otherwise I wouldn't be here telling my story" I laughed and everyone laughs with me. The hostess laughs too but it's fake. I can see in the way she is behaving she wants this to be over. In reality there are very little people who care who I date. I've done very few movies and not a lot of people know me yet. I'm famous enough to be interviewed but not fully known.
"That's right" she said. "Why don't you tell us about that night?" she asked.
"Well it wasn't night…" I start and once again I trailed off to memory lane.
I am standing beside her again. She's still wearing her chocolate stained white chef coat and I'm looking at her as she place her knifes in her trunk. To me she looks adorable. I can tell by the way she moves that she is shy but she is sure of who she is. I can tell by the blush in her cheeks that she is not use to this kind of attention and that I might be the first guy who've taken such an interest, even if it's hard to believe.
"Maybe we should do this other time" she said, closing her truck. Her eyes looking at the passing people who stare. I might be use to the staring but she is not.
"And give you a chance to change your mind?" I ask, placing my hand under her chin and making her look at me. This is me and her. To me there is no one else around us. "Not a chance" I say and she smiles.
"You're very pushy" she says and I laugh.
"I thought we establish that" I say and I turn my body and guide her to my car.
"I'm not dressed to go on a date" she said, unbuttoning the buttons of her chef coat.
"You look fine" I say and smiled as he slips off the coat, revealing a black tank top. I go around the other side and drive away without looking back. I've never been so nervous on a date. I've always known I was handsome and I've always had attention with the ladies but with her is different.
She is so down to earth that I am afraid she will think I'm just another tool. I want to show her that I'm not. It doesn't take me long to get to where I want to get. I smile when I see her peering outside.
"The park?" she asked. It's where we met and it's private.
"I'm not cheap or anything like that but it's the only place I actually know its private" I say and she smiles.
"I never said you were cheap" she giggles and I decide that I like her laugh. It sounds like a bunch of small bells ringing in my car.
"I didn't want you to" I say and I open the door. I'm making my way around to open her door but she's already out. "You really don't give a guy a chance to impress you, huh?" I say and she smirks a little.
"Who said you didn't?" she says and starts walking and I smile go after her. As we get closer I hear her gasp a bit. I arrange for my manager to set a picnic in the middle of the place. There is candles, roses and all kind of foods. "I guess you don't need a chance" she said and chuckle.
I open my mouth to answer when I hear a couples of barks. Before I can even respond my two dogs are jumping on me. With everything that has been happening today I forgot I asked my manager to bring them.
"Who is this?" she asked softly. I grow nervous again. It's very important to that she gets along with my dogs. "This is Pakkun and Chiyo" I say and stand back.
Almost every girl I know awkwardly stand back because they are afraid of them but not her. She smiles and kneels down and pats their head. "Hey there" she said softly and the bark happily. They lick her hand and she giggles.
I've never seen my dogs act this way towards anyone else but myself and I am happy. This girl get more perfect by the minute.
"So… it was perfect date" Yuki says getting me back again. "After she met your dogs?" she asked.
"It was more than perfect" I explained and the viewers awed. "The entire time we were together she made me feel like I was special. Not like just any other celebrity but like a person" I explained and for a moment I see something flash in her eyes.
"Wow" she murmurs. She blinks a couple of times and patches on a smile. "After the commercial we will continue with this enchanting love story and finally we will find out what made this seemgly perfect couple fall out of love"
