Note: I do not own pokemon.
We see Drew talking to Solidad at the back stage of a pokemon contest. May had just been beaten by Drew for the second time that contest season. Drew now with five ribbons and May with only four. She was thinking about how she is not worthy to be Drew's rival.
But she really care about being his rival. She just wanted to be his good friend and more. But she got a stupid thought stuck in her mind. That the only thing she will ever be to Drew is a rival. She is blinded by disbelief. She loved Drew. But didn't believe he loved her. She was wrong.
"You need to go see her." Solidad said to Drew.
"But I think she is mad." Drew responded.
"Why would she be mad?"
"Well….."
Flash back:
The contest had just ended and Drew was telling May about how he was better than her. He loved how would react to his comments and insults. He didn't mean to hurt her. But he did.
"I am way better than you." He exclaimed.
"No your not!" She responded.
"Yes I am! You will never be as good as me!" He thought she would just shrug it off. Wrong!
"Well then I guess I'm not your rival." Then she ran away crying.
"May wait!"
"Just leave me alone you jerk!" She yelled. Drew didn't run after her. Instead he stood there all alone.
"May I didn't mean to hurt you." He whispered to himself.
End of flash back:
"Then you walked in."
"Well she isn't mad."
"Then what is she?"
"Afraid."
"Afraid? Of what?"
"Why don't you ask her?"
"Fine." Then he left.
With May:
She was sitting under a tree. Thinking to herself. She secretly loved Drew. But didn't think he felt the same. She was crying to her when she heard his voice.
"May!" She looked up. She saw her green haired rival approaching her.
"What do you want?" She groaned while wiping her tear away as he looked down at her.
"To talk. Why did you run away?" He sat down next to her.
"I-I was afraid."
"Of what? Please tell me." He said sweetly.'
"That you wouldn't accept me as your rival."
"May you why I say those things?"
"Why?"
"Because of the way you react. I don't mean it. I guess I just want attention from you."
She looked at him in disbelief.
"To tell the truth I think I love you." She believed him.
"I know I deserve your love. But I have seen you grow as a coordinator. And I have grown to love you."
She was silent. She didn't think it was real. She thought it was a dream. It wasn't.
"Drew." He turned to her and looked into her eyes. Then they kissed. It was a very passionate kiss. (If you know I mean. But take it down a few notches. Then you have there kiss.) It lasted about three minutes. Then they broke free. "I love you too." May said to Drew. They both smiled and sat there holding hands and looking into each other's eyes.
Not too far away Solidad was hiding and watching them. "I knew it. They love each other." Then she left.
