Chasing Tail
This was the second time a practice fight had lead to sex in the woods. Not that Gajeel was going to complain. While it was fun to have Gray panting in his ear and gripping his hips with his tights, Gajeel was under no illusion that the ice mage held any romantic feelings for him. He wasn't sure Gray felt anything toward him – romantic or otherwise.
Gray had been almost indifferent but accommodating when Gajeel asked him to train with him. He'd also been friendly but serious during the first few practice sessions. They had both started out slowly and build their power up as they progressed – testing each other's limits and pushing forward. Gajeel had come to the conclusion that Gray's animosity toward Natsu was more habit that true feeling. But he also believed that Gray fought with his true feelings when the situation arose. But honestly, he couldn't figure out what Gray felt.
Gajeel hadn't really been conscious of Gray's body at first – he spent most of his time half clothed as it was. But as they continued to train, Gajeel had become more conscious of Gray's toned body, the way he moved, and particularly the way he parted his lips as his breathing got heavier.
Unthinkingly he had kissed Gray while they were cooling down one afternoon. Gray had returned the kiss eagerly and when Gajeel had hesitated, he had pulled the Dragon Slayer on top of him. And Gajeel had been more than willing to follow through. Gajeel had barely got himself unbuckled and Gray was naked and wanting beneath him. The first round was short and sharp – both coming quickly. Gajeel had been about to pull out when Gray wrapped his legs around his hip and held Gajeel in place, rocking his hips and leaning up to kiss Gajeel – it was exciting and inviting so Gajeel accepted.
This time though, Gajeel had the impression that Gray was more interested in the sex than the practice. And as last time, one round wasn't enough. He still had no clear idea of Gray's feeling but he did know that Gray liked him enough to want to sleep with him – possibly on a fairly regular basis. And who in their right mind would say no to that.
"I'm going on a mission tomorrow," said Gray as he clothed himself.
"Where?" asked Gajeel genuinely curious.
"Dunno," shrugged Gray. "Some higher up's requested me and Natsu. Ice and fire, or something, related. There aren't many details."
"Juvia's going to miss you," teased Gajeel.
Gray blow out a sigh at the mention of Juvia's name.
"That woman's always on my tail."
"It's a nice tail to be on," commented Gajeel.
Gray threw a smirk in Gajeel's direction.
"Let's continue when I get back."
"Done."
Only that was the last time they spoke in such a carefree way.
