Author's note: I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to update! I've been in school overloaed with homework and then getting sick each semester on top of it. I hope everyone likes this chapter. I've done a lot of research for this and a lot of rewriting in a couple places.
Chapter 7
Suck it up, New Training Starts Now
By next morning, Naruto woke up with a headache that he could have sworn would have split his head in two because of the pain. Plus, the light from the sun shining through the window he was under didn't help either.
"You're finally up." Someone nearby said, startling the blonde into a fighting stance only to fall over because of his dizziness. "Be careful, you're going to be off for the next hour or so, so take it easy until you can move right."
"Kaka-sensei?" Naruto slurred. "Don't tell me… I almost lost it didn't I?"
"Itachi and I had to restrain you, and drained some of your chakra because it was still surging when you were restrained." Kakashi explained slowly for him, knowing he wasn't going to be able to comprehend anything too lengthy until his head cleared.
"I could feel that one coming, usually, I don't." Naruto muttered a few minutes later when the silence was starting to make him twitch in annoyance.
"How long has it been though, since you felt the last one?"
"It was about a year I think. Normally, it's because I'm like an empath, I pick up on others' emotions and Zabuza's was overwhelming everyone's in the clearing when we fought. All I could feel was his rage, sadness, hurt… then that kid saying what he did… I should have warned you and Itachi but I thought it was going to pass because the emotions around me were lighter even though it was tense and uneasy."
"All you did was flip a table over and knock us out of our chairs. No one was hurt last night if that makes you feel better."
"It does, and I thank you and Itachi for stopping me because I wouldn't have." Naruto smirked before sitting up. "Now that's more like it, my heads' clear again."
"That quickly?"
"It clears away faster each time for some reason. Soon, I shouldn't be able to feel anything at all after waking up from chakra draining." Naruto shrugged. "Let me see… Sasuke's still here and he's with Inari and Tsunami is in the kitchen… Itachi and Sakura are with Tazuna and the other bridge builders?"
"Yes, we thought of this team set up while you were sleeping, hope you don't mind."
"It's okay, I get to train duck ass now… but I would like to get something to eat and know when everyone left."
"They left only two hours ago, so you haven't lost that much of the day." Kakashi chuckled, finally getting the sense that the blonde was now back to his usual self.
"Hey duck ass, come here!" Naruto bellowed as he got up to his feet and stretched a bit.
"There is a child here that doesn't need to hear that language young man!" Tsunami yelled from the kitchen, only making Naruto suddenly realize what he actually said.
"I'm sorry ma'am, I will try harder to refrain myself from unnecessary language use as long as I'm inside the house or near Inari." Naruto said as he went into the kitchen and bowed low to her.
"You don't have to do that." Tsunami blushed when Naruto straightened up. "I have some breakfast for you if you'd like to have some."
"I would be honored to have your wonderful cooking ma'am." Naruto beamed and sat at the table, chopsticks at the ready as she got the left overs' from breakfast and placed it in front of him. It wasn't much, though, just a bit of rice, an omelet and some fruit.
"Looks delicious!" Naruto cheered before digging into his meal.
"What's up with you?" Someone asked behind Naruto, making him turn only to see that it was Sasuke with a raised eyebrow towards him.
"I no longer feel negative energy around me so I'm in a better mood than last night." Naruto explained before finishing his meal and washed his dishes for Tsunami. "Now, I called you down here because I'm going to help you train while watching over the house."
"What are you going to train me with?"
"Basic combat so you have other styles other than what your family and the academy taught you." Was all Naruto explained before dragging the young Uchiha out of the house and towards the woods without a word to Kakashi, knowing their conversation could be heard since the house was a bit open.
Before long, Naruto stopped and Sasuke suddenly tripped over his feet at the sudden change of pace.
"I'm going to explain a couple of things with you before we get started." Naruto said as he turned to face Sasuke as he got up off the ground. "My echo, there's a correct term for it, but I don't like calling it by its true name because I think it sounds stupid. So, echo is called neutral gin, the act of waiting before striking. It's one of many that I'm in the middle of learning, but it pairs well with positive gin and negative gin."
"So… are you going to teach me all three of them?" Sasuke asked.
"No, you don't have the right amount of chakra to even try neutral gin, but you can perform positive and negative gin. Everyone can, actually, because positive gin is striking or attack, and a negative gin is defense or running away.
"Now, for the styles I'm going to teach you are what I use for water manipulation, earth manipulation and wind manipulation. Fire will be last because it's more difficult, in my opinion. So, with water, the best way I can explain it, is tai chi. Oh, and before I forget, it's also a gin and it's called the change gin."
"That's it? That's all there is to your water manipulation?"
"Yes, because my water manipulation deals with pushing and pulling with the water to do what I want it to do. Tai chi deals with you doing the same thing. Get it now?"
"Yes… I think I get it now." Sasuke nodded.
"Good." Naruto smirked and cracked his neck a few times. "Now, you can train yourself in this as much as you want, but the main ones I want to teach you today, are from the earth and wind manipulations. We'll only be able to get some depth into the earth styles I use today so I hope you're prepared to actually do something."
"Bring it." Sasuke smirked.
"Okay, first I'm using the mantis style I use a lot." Naruto warned before he walked up to Sasuke and got into stance a few feet away. "This style is common with the Hyuuga's way of fighting with their gentle fist so it'll look slightly similar."
"How is it you know more about everyone around you than we know of you?" Sasuke asked, but was ignored when Naruto thrust a fist forward and got him in the chest. Sending him a few feet away only to land on his back and getting the air knocked out of him.
"Stand! You must stand strong! No more talking, now, we start training. First, you need to be able to master negative before positive! You cannot learn attack before you know how to defend! Understand!" Naruto yelled. "Now get up off your ass!"
"Well I didn't know it started already!" Sasuke argued back as he stood up and was forced to quickly defend himself as Naruto went after him with another punch to the chest.
"When would an enemy give you time? I was lucky against the demon brothers of the mist. I will never be so lucky a second time. Now defend!" Naruto hissed before striking out at Sasuke with both hands, one as an open palm strike to his jaw and the other as a closed fist to his chest once more.
"Your attacks really hurt asshole!" Sasuke snapped as he was forced back from defending against Naruto's attacks with his forearms. Hell, he thought they were going to snap at any moment from the force the blonde was using.
"Use your chakra to strengthen your defense. You've learned chakra control from tree and water walking, it should be easier to know how to focus chakra to a certain area of the body!" Naruto stated before he took his next strike with the back of both of his hands from a down to up at Sasuke's face before retracting back and aiming both open palms at Sasuke's chest when he managed to knock Sasuke's defense out of the way, sending the raven haired teen back a couple meters before he skidded to a stop.
"You're never going to advance in training if you don't listen to instructions!" Naruto snapped as Sasuke slowly pushed himself up off the ground, only to sway a bit because of the hit to the sternum he took.
"It takes me a while to focus chakra anywhere! I only finished the tree walking two weeks ago remember? Oh, that's right, you were off doing your own training at the time!" Sasuke yelled as best as he could even though it hurt.
"That's because I had already mastered whatever shit you guys learned in the academy and in the short amount of time you two were with Kakashi. I trained with him for about half a year before I was locked up. Do you think he went easy on me? Fuck no."
"You've trained with Kakashi? Why didn't we know any of this?"
"Because it wasn't need-to-know information. I was just a boy, barely past seven when I unlocked my kekkei genkai, and I unlocked it because I was attacked and had a knife in my stomach." Naruto snapped before sighing heavily in frustration. "Now, I guess I'm going to have to change it up to help you quicken your pace in chakra control to other parts of your body."
"And how do you plan on doing that?" Sasuke asked with a raised eyebrow.
"With this." Naruto smirked before pulling out a scroll, opening it to a certain seal and activated it. Summing from the scroll a long staff that merely looked like a stick but was made with wood so dark it looked black and had small red markings on it, just like his broad swords did. "This, is another weapon I mastered while training on my own. So, I'm going to be attacking you with this at various parts of your body until you can, in second nature, send chakra unwillingly to parts of your body."
"Just don't break anything!" Sasuke yelled when Naruto attacked him by swinging the staff at the side of his head, making him block with both of his forearms.
"I won't, but you will be horribly bruised by the time we're done today. I'll heal you up later when we get back to the house." Naruto promised. "Now, keep your stance while I attack, this will help you with balance."

After training the young Uchiha in how to properly control his chakra, it was already time to go back to the house and Sasuke looked like he was attacked by large men with metal weapons. There were places that had open wounds, bruises already formed and had taken on the tints of black, blue, purple, green and yellow in various areas all over his body. He even sported a massive headache from a blow to the head he didn't see coming.
With all this, it took Naruto and him a little bit longer to get back to the house than normal and when they got there, Tazuna, Itachi and Sakura were already back from the bridge.
"What the hell happened?" Itachi yelled upon seeing his brother in such a state.
"Don't get your panties in a twist Ita-kun, I was training your useless brother in better chakra control for what I'm going to be teaching him." Naruto answered. "Go eat, then I'll heal your wounds."
"You're going to let them stay like that! There's a nasty open wound on his face that needs attention at once!" Itachi continued to bark at the blonde.
"If you don't shut up I won't heal him. Now, you'll see why I'm waiting to heal him because by the time I'm done, nothing's going to be wrong with your precious brother." Naruto warned him with a small glare before putting his trade mark grin back on his face and started eating after thanking Tsunami for the food.
"And for the meat I gathered, I'll prepare it tonight, wanted to do this while it was dark because I'm giving the scraps to some foxes I found the other day." Naruto reminded, mostly himself, out loud before stretching in his seat.
Itachi growled at the blonde but decided to heed his words, already planning a death sentence if he didn't keep to his word.
But to Itachi's surprise, the moment that Sasuke's bowl was taken from him, Naruto stood up and stood behind him, placing both of his hands on Sasuke's back as he closed his eyes in concentration. A moment later, he walked away from Sasuke and went to the sink and gathered, in a large pot, some ice cold water.
"Now, baby Uchiha, this will sting a little because I'm going to be putting some herb extracts in this ice cold water." Naruto said a moment later when he turned the water off and brought the pot of water to the table. "Now, Kakashi, this is how I healed you when we first came here."
"Did you break into Tsunade's medical research at the library?" Kakashi asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Who's that?" Naruto asked with his own raised eyebrows before pulling out a scroll he had specifically for medicinal herbs and started pulling random extract bottles from its seals and putting them into the water. But after a moment, he decided he'd put whole bottles of everything he put in there instead of the normal.
"I change my mind, get in the tub baby Uchiha and fill it with cold water. This is highly concentrated and I'll heal you there. You have more wounds than Kakashi did so it'll be easier in there." Naruto ordered. "Oh, and strip down to your boxers so I can see all of them."
"Why in the hell are you calling me baby Uchiha?" Sasuke yelled with a slight blush of anger on his face as he shot up from his chair.
"Because, baby Uchiha, you are the youngest Uchiha alive. Now deal with it and do what I told you to do." Naruto smirked as he added a few more herb extracts into the pot.
Growling in frustration at what the blonde is now calling him, Sasuke stormed off and upstairs into the bathroom and started filling the tub with cold water, but not so cold it'd give him hypothermia.
"Wow, you actually ordered an Uchiha around! I thought only their family could do that." Sakura boasted from her seat. "But how could you not know who Lady Tsunade is Naruto?"
"Because I don't." He said.
"She's one of the legendary kunoichi of our village. She's also teammates with Jiraiya and Orochimaru." Itachi explained, until he realized what he said and wasn't able to stop himself before he said his name.
"Oh, I see! No wonder, because ero-sennin never talked about her. I'm gonna have to meet her and thank her for that library of valuable information! Oh, and that she'll need to come up with a new seal formula so no one else can get in there." Naruto smirked, forcing himself to become oblivious to the third name that Itachi spoke of. It was a skill of his, actually, to hear only what he only wanted to hear.
"Alright. I'm ready to go up so if you want, Itachi, to make sure I keep my word then come on up and watch. Sakura, you're to stay down here and watch over them okay?" Naruto said before using his suiton manipulation and put the concentrated medicine in several pint flasks he summoned with his scroll while no one was looking and stopped all but one and took it upstairs.
When the three of them were upstairs, it was then that Sakura understood as to why she was stuck with kitchen duty this time. But Naruto only chuckled at her slowness and banged on the bathroom door. "You ready duck butt?"
"Just come on in!" Sasuke groused before Naruto opened the door and walked up to the tub and dumped the pint into it.
"Now get in and soak for ten minutes. I'll come back in and get started on the healing. Letting you soak this up will clean the cuts out."
"What about my face?"
"Use a rag as long as it doesn't leave any fuzzies in the wound." He said before leaving the bathroom to Sasuke and the adults.
"He's nuts, why in the hell isn't he still locked up?" Sasuke hissed at his brother who was the only one that followed Naruto upstairs because Kakashi decided it was time to get some rest because his body was starting to get stiff again.
"It's his place to tell you little brother, not mine. And besides, I don't know much about him anyway due to the fact that he was already locked up by the time I graduated." Itachi explained, though it didn't clear Sasuke's thoughts any better than they were already.
"Fucking lunatic." Were the only words Itachi could decipher in Sasuke's muttering of obscenities and couldn't help but chuckle at his brothers' choice of words. "And hell, this would be so much more relaxing if I could use warm water!" He added as he climbed into the tub, rag in hand as he got comfortable and soaked the rag in the medicinal water and threw it on the side of his face that had the gaping cut.
"What I'm confused about, is why he didn't have you take a shower first." Itachi said aloud.
"Because the water will not only clean his cuts but will also get rid of any dirt that's on his skin as it's searching for wounds to clean. Well, that won't happen until I do my part, but the herbs will neutralize anything that it sees fit to destroy." Naruto explained, and if Itachi weren't Uchiha, he would have voiced out a surprise because he had no clue that Naruto was behind him at all.
Naruto chuckled as he walked past Itachi and stood next to the tub, feet shoulder width apart and his hands out in front of him palms down.
"Relax, if you're stiff while I'm doing this you'll heal that way, the water should be warming up little by little right now." Naruto says. "And by the way, how long can you hold your breath?"
"Ten minutes, why?" Sasuke asks, as he feels the water warming up a bit to the point he could be comfortable.
"You'll need to be under for a few minutes to I can heal all of you, the tub will let you because you're short." The blonde snickered, earning a glare by the younger Uchiha before Sasuke fully relaxed.
"Great, now go under, I'm going to start." Naruto smiles before Sasuke takes a deep breath and slides under just when the water starts glowing blue.
Itachi couldn't help but stare as he watched the blonde start swaying side to side slightly while moving his hands with his dominant hand in front to move the water any which way he wanted. And what amazed him while he unconsciously activated his sharingan was that Sasuke's wounds were starting to disappear right before his eyes and it wasn't a genjutsu.
"How are you doing this?" Itachi whispered.
"It's part of my water manipulation and me using Kurama's healing abilities at the same time." Naruto answered. "It's not easy, and it usually takes longer if it's chakra related. But since all of his wounds are flesh wounds and bruises, it's going quicker. Oh, and Sasuke wasn't aware of this during practice, but he's activated his sharingan. Two tomoe in the right eye and one in the left eye. You should start training him while you're here with us while I'm on guard duty."
"How is he not aware of it?"
"Because he activated while trying to guard against me and started to get the hang of the lesson I was teaching him two hours in. I kept going to make sure it was second nature to block against attacks with chakra enhancement at specific body places." Naruto answered, then stopped when the last of Sasuke's wounds healed over. "He started getting clumsy near the end because of exhaustion."
"Well thank you for keeping your word, Naruto." Itachi smiled lightly as he nodded towards Naruto in a mock bow, knowing the boy hated it when people flattered him.
"No problem. Get back up idiot. I stopped." Naruto stated loudly, but Sasuke still wasn't coming up for air. "Fuck, he fell asleep!"
Quickly Naruto drug Sasuke out of the tub and used his water manipulation to bring the water out of Sasuke's lungs as quick but painless as possible. When the young raven was breathing again, Naruto hit him on the back of his head.
"You idiot! What made you fall asleep while you were underneath the water!?"
"I don't know!" Sasuke coughed out.
"Dear Kami! I'm on a team full of idiots!" Naruto yelled before storming out of the bathroom. "Drain the tub moron!"
