He knew that what he was doing was the most selfish thing that he had ever done in his entire life. He wasn't consulting anyone for this. In his mind he thought that the correct path to take was this. If she doesn't remember all that has happened no harm will come to her. All that Harry wanted was to protect her, she was his only light in that damn war.

All the moments he spent with her were one of the happiest moments of his life. He learned to admire her brave heart and confidence attitude. Ginny had changed through the years, she wasn't the same little girl who used to hide from him. She wasn't the fragile girl he rescued from the chamber of secrets about 5 years ago anymore. She was different and he just fell for her in the most overwhelming way possible.

He didn't want to hurt her, but he must this time. He took a difficult long path before he realized his feelings for her and there was no turning back. If he could turn his back to all of what is happening along the magic world. If he could take Ginny's hand and run away from there, live a happy and normal life with her. He wanted to grow up, to marry her, to have kids with her. He wanted to wake up every morning by her side, see her beautiful autumn hair spread along the pillow and her freckles garnishing her pale face. He wanted to love her all his life.

But Harry knew that for him it would never be that simple. He must destroy Voldemort if he wanted to have all of that. He must go to make that happen. When the Death Eaters attacked at Bill's wedding he didn't have the chance to say goodbye to her and now he has risked everything to be with her.

Ginny was sleeping in her bed, a soft snore escaped through her mouth and Harry couldn't help but smile. She looked like a little girl but he was sure that she was all but that. Ginny became a strong woman within the years, being the youngest of 7 children and the only female was a hard task. She was a smart girl with a clever future in front of her.

He bent down to kiss her forehead. She frowned a bit but then kept sleeping calmly. Harry wished that he could spend the rest of his life with her, in her arms. He wasn't used to that kind of thoughts but Ginny brought a new Harry, with no sorrows or prophesies, out of the blue. But there was no time to waste. He put the envelope in her night table and kissed her slightly on her lips. He suddenly wished to make her forget all the moments they spent together so she wouldn't cry in the morning. But he sought to go by dawn and leave no track of him behind. He prayed to see her again. He took a decision and raised his wand, he concentrated all that he was able to and whispered ''obliviate''. Ginny would lose every memory that she spent with him, for her own sake. Now he would only be Ron's best friend, his and Hermione's classmate and the boy who lived. In the end that was all he was, The Boy Who Lived and nothing more. And with that Harry left, he ought to fulfill his destiny with the memory of a smiling redhead kept for himself.
