Chapter 4
Hermione woke the next morning a little les sore then usual normally her nightmares would have her restless. She dragged herself into her bathroom to brush her teeth and splash some water on her face. After getting dressed she walked out to her kitchenette area but stopped when she saw Blaise Zabini sitting on the sofa. She walked over to him to ask him how he got into the 'Heads Dormitory' but recalled that he was Draco's best friend which made her cringe slightly before sitting across from him. She saw him smirk as any true Slytherin would and it only infuriated her.
"Zabini."
"Granger?"
"I would ask why you would be in here but seems how I already know the answer to that there's no reason."
"Do you now? And what would that be?"
"Draco of course."
"What makes you think I'm not here for you?"
Taken back by his serious face she stood there stunned, her Hermione Granger didn't know what to say. This baffled her what was he up to? Surely he's just as sneaky as any other Slytherin?
"Fine, say I believe you what would you want?"
"What are you willing to give me?" He smiled a crooked grin.
"You need help in school? I'm not going to do your homework."
"Granger, I have top scores almost made head boy, is it honestly never occurred to you that you are attractive and maybe I'm asking you out?"
"I… I uh wait what?"
"Is that no? Hmm maybe I'm losing my touch."
"You can't be serious!"
"And why can't I?!"
"You're a Zabini!"
"Granger instead of asking I'm telling you to meet me at the gate to go to Hogsmeade with me." And with that he walked out.
Blaise POV
Catching up to Draco to have breakfast and not look suspicious.
"So what did you need to do?" Draco asked.
"Hmm? Oh I forgot to give Greengrass her book back."
Hermione's POV
Hermione stood there after he left with her jaw slack and open. Since when did Blaise Zabini have an interest in a girl like her? It had to be a trick that he and Draco concocted right? Ugh! Hermione looked at the time she was going to miss breakfast if she did hurry up. She rushed around grabbing her things for class and headed out and scurried to the dining hall.
She sat down next to Ginny which for some unlucky reason was directly across from Zabini and Malfoy. When she sat down Blaise held her gaze long enough for Draco and Ginny to notice. Great now Ginny was going to be bothering her for information on it. Her face grew red and she looked away and focused on her food and Heads duties.
"What's going on with you and Zabini?" Ginny asked brows raised.
"Nothing!"
"Liar, you better tell me."
"Later Ginny, please?"
"Fine." Ginny said grumpily.
