This is the second chapter for Scream 4 aftermath. I don't own the characters of the Scream trilogy or the fourth film but I just written this for fun so read it and enjoy.
Chapter Two.
Hotel room, Mark's P.O.V.
Seeing Sydney for the first time in ages felt so surprising to me, I thought she never wanted to see me again. But after the whole situation with her cousin it changed whatever things we both have said that seperated us a few years ago, and she says she's glad to see me. Maybe she will give me a chance and we could start over from scratch.
As I look through my suitcase to see what would be the best thing to wear on a night out I see only my light grey shirt and think this could be useful. I pick it up and bring it to the bed before laying it on the mattress and then look for a good pair of trousers to go with it.
I dug into my suitcase until i found the right path and then slide each leg into them before zipping them up, I button it up and reached for the belt. After I spray some deodorant on I then put on my grey shirt, and button it up. I put on a tie and tie it around my collar and then put on my jacket. Slapping on some aftershave so that I could smell nice for Sydney I then pick up my wallet and check the mirror to make sure that I look good in my reflection before I leave the hotel room to Pick up Sydney.
once out of my hotel room I walked down the hall to the stairs and had to turn to check that I wasn't followed by Ghost face or some other random stranger, convinced that there was nothing around I turned back to the front and then walked down the stairs to the carpark.
Sydney's house, Sydney's P.O.V.
In my room, looking for what pretty dress to wear or what outfit would suit me for my date with Mark. I've taken the time to shower and shave my legs whilst brushing my teeth before I was finished and went dress searching. by that time the search was now making me unsure what to do since we hardly spoken to each other in ages but thankfully buying a new dress at the clothes store before the whole Ghost face massacre started all over again, was still in my closet and it looked as good as I hoped so I took the dress, which was a teal colour and two shoulder straps to hold it up and was cut to the length of the knees, this was in all good to me. On taking it out I laid it out on the bed before I get some panties and a bra on. Once both were on and I was covered I then take the dress and slip it over my shoulders, fitting in nicely to the dress I felt like I could wear it for hours. After i did up the buttons on the back of my dress I go on to do my make up. I do my lips with a dash of scarlett and power my face a bit with make up before moving on to my eye lashes. by the time i had sprayed some perfume on around my neck and shoulders, Mark's car was coming up the drive way. so I stood up and went to the wardrobe to catch my shoes, but as I stand close to the wardrobe I step to the side before I could open the wardrobe. Making sure that nobody was inside I edged near the side before I then pick up my low heels and close up the wardrobe, heading out of my room with a sigh of relief that my suspicions were clear that there was no one around wanting to kill me or attack me.
I was half way down the stairs when I heard the doorbell ring. "I'm coming." I shouted before i head down to the bottom, slipping on my heels before I answer the door. Opening the door to see Mark looking so handsome and dashing, he was also in surprise to see me standing looking glamourous. "Hi Syd, wow I must admit you have made quite an appearance." he said with a smile.
I blushed before I responded happily. "Thanks, and you look so dashing as ever detective kincaid."
"Well thank you Sydney. so Shall we?" asked Mark Kinkaid.
I went out the door before closing it and then Mark walked me down to his car.
Once inside the car Mark started it up, we were off on the road driving through the neighborhood until our ride took us down to the next road into town after a few minutes.
We spent a good hour of the night having dinner at a private restaurant, through out the hour I talked about how much I missed him and how work didn't seem to be much since we broke apart and went our seperate ways. It was our night together, one which I have enjoyed since after the death of my half brother Roman.
I was much relieved that he was gone, but when we ran the DNA tests on Roman Bridger, the tests were confirmed that he was my mother's first born and he my half brother, the other half that I'll never forgive and forget.
After dinner we went for a walk along the streets and then looked up to the skies to see the stars shining so bright.
We spoke about how beautiful the view looked and how bright it was from where we stood for a while until at a moment of amazement, he looked down on me and then he kissed me on the end of the street.
We kissed for a short moment before I withdrew and looked into his eyes.
"I actually did miss you Mark." I said to him.
"Well as I said before earlier today there's always second chances for those who miss one another and wish for it, so Would you be interested on a trip with me? someplace nice perhaps?" Mark asked.
"Is that a Proposition?" I asked him. "Yes, but more of a Proposal I'd say." he said.
"Oh, so were you thinking of this for a while?" I asked, leaning forward to Mark, who leaned forward himself.
"Indeed, a long while it took for me to gather the courage." he said, before our lips met and we kissed long and softly.
We went for a long walk to back to his car before we drove back to his room and there we stayed for the rest of the night.
The next few days
As Sydney and Mark spent those few days reconciling their relationship, Kirby was discharged from the hospital after her full recovery from her wounds. She was given the all clear by the doctors, but recommended that she goes through a period of psychological treatment for the next six months until she's right as rain.
Her mother brought her to the car where she helped Kirby inside it before they drove home.
Kirby spent the whole of the drive home thinking about Jill and how she could be so psychotic enough to have her and her other friends killed just to become famous like her cousin Sydney Prescott.
Afterwards was a long road to recovery for Kirby and she only had to get though the rough part of those long days at home and at school. After school, she attended some psycho therapy sessions to help ease her back into life, but some sessions, the reviews of the psychologists say that she was still going through some traumatic episodes and would only take a while to get her back into her normal life but things wouldn't be the same with her friends dead.
Once in a while she has a traumatic moment at school, seeing a vision of Jill or Charlie coming up towards her with a knife looking to kill her and she freaks out until one of her other friends come up to her and holds her until she calms down.
Afterwards Her friends walk with her to make sure that she doesn't go into a post traumatic disorder.
At Home Kirby spent most of her days staying in her room in her house, reading a book in bed to distract herself from thinking of going out so that she won't get herself into the same situation she had already been through in which she might wind up getting stabbed again only this time she might wind up dead.
It was so that she could ease herself back into comfort as part of her therapy routine which was helpful.
As she spent most of her time with her studies, Kirby found in herself that she was a changed young woman having survived her own death and more she thought about what she was going to do with her life.
Whilst Kirby was recovering from her ordeal, Dewey and Gail were busy at home getting to work on the new book that she's been wanting to make since before the murders.
Having suffered hard hits to the head Dewey decided to take some time off to help his wife write the book, making new details about how he and Gail were the heroes who stopped the murderer from killing Sydney and saving all their other friends again before the murderer had the chance to succeed with his goal. Although they had been through this whole ordeal, Gail couldn't help but feel sorry for Sydney having such a dysfunctional family, knowing that she had a half brother who was a film director/maniac and a cousin who was a psycho killer but both of them wanted to be famous and were so overcome with jealousy of Sydney. And then she thought how lucky she was to have Sydney as a friend, and now she feels at least like one part of a family that Sydney has left, now that her aunt Kate and Jill are dead. Now she felt a whole lot better with no killers around.
A few weeks later
As time went by, Mark and Sydney were getting on quite well as they became a couple, the experience of their years making the relationship strong that they were making plans to book a getaway for two so that they can rekindle the flame between them. After their trip was booked, Sydney started packing her things for the plane ride whilst Mark made some arrangements for a car so that they can drive along into the countryside of Ireland where there would be no murders or anyone to follow them and plot to kill them at all.
During the day Mark spent the day packing a suitcase full of clothes and things for the holiday trip to Ireland whilst Sydney went visiting some friends before she would go away on her getaway.
After a week of packing their belongings, Dwight and Gail took their two friends to the airport where they said their goodbyes to them and sent them on their way in. Now after checking their baggage into the reception and passing through security, Mark and Sydney were now sitting together in the waiting rooms of the airport waiting for their flight call for the number of their plane to Ireland. They spent the time sharing their thoughts on what they want to do in Ireland.
When an hour passed, they boarded the plane together.
Taking their seats in coach, Sydney and Mark spent the good part of another hour talking about which places to go and what to do whilst they were touring the emerald islands of the country. Soon after all passengers were on board, the pilot announced that the plane was getting ready for take off.
It was a few hours after take off the plane flew across the pacific ocean towards their destination which was in the country. The take off was a bit rough at first but when it was in the air, the seatbelt sign was off. Sydney was then able to relax and take a walk across the path of the plane. Feeling the need to take some medication, Sydney walked along to the Stewardess booth.
When she got there she got herself a paper cup full of water and took some tablets before she swallowed them and drank some water from her cup.
The flight was a pleasant one as Sydney enjoyed her time with Mark who held her hand to make sure that she's safe and sound. She loved Mark for being the anchor to her cloud and more, because he gained his strength from old experience. Within a few hours they had landed on the emerald islands.
After leaving the plane through the entrance they went through the venues of the airport to pick up their luggage at the Terminal Area and then they went out to catch a taxi to their hotel room.
On the long drive to the little place in the country, Sydney took in the scenery.
The whole of the country was so beautiful which was a crystal clear sight and more for the whole trip before they finally reached the Hotel.
One Year Later, Los Angeles.
It was after that week together then, Sydney and Mark re ignited their spark and they start dating for almost six months, but it was only within the two months into their relationship when Sydney found out that she was pregnant with Mark's child.
When Mark later found out that his girlfriend Sydney was pregnant, he was surprised at first at the fact that he was going to be a father but after a week of spending time with Sydney who decided to keep the baby, Mark decided to stay with Sydney and to help her through this.
It was after another week of going out together, Mark took her out to a local café where he spent an hour with her and then he proposed to her. "Sydney, I know that I am not a wealthy man and I know that we've had some hard times, most of all you had them but I guarantee that I will always be at your side for any event of the future. so Sydney Prescott, will you marry me?" he said to her, showing her the ring.
Soon after a short minute, Sydney then replied. "Yes I will marry you Mark Kincaid."
Mark then placed the ring on the finger of her left hand before he and Sydney stood up at the same time, sharing a long embrace together for a moment.
Well that's the end of Chapter two, so i'll be hard at work for the third and final chapter as I have nothing else to write for Scream aftermath and there's no others who would murder Sydney or Mark Kincaid, so please leave a comment on the page.
