Chapter Three of scream 4; aftermath.

This is the third chapter of scream 4; aftermath, this scene will feature the wedding between Sydney and Mark Kincaid and how their lives turn out after the wedding and how they would start a new life together.

Woodsboro.

A couple of months after Mark proposed to Sydney, the couple went ahead of setting up a private ceremony.
Sydney and Gail started shopping for wedding dress and working out the day for the wedding whilst Mark and Dwight spent the time talking about plans for a bachelor party.
The boys had their good times in the town of Woodsboro, without any new surprises.
After a couple of more months, the big day was set for the wedding which was to be made a private ceremony with Gale as the maid of honour and Dwight as the best man and a few guests along for the private wedding. Gale, Kirby and Sydney found a short white dress for Sydney to wear and Mark Kincaid had managed to find the right suits to use for the wedding day whilst Dwight's partner Judy Hicks made the arrangements for the venue and the reception.

A couple of months later; The Wedding day.

Under a willow gate in a quiet garden by the pond which was at least fifteen miles outside of Woodsboro, that was the place where Sydney and Mark were holding their wedding ceremony as the two had requested to steer away from the memories of the Woodsboro murders.

Now standing at the alter under the willow gate, Mark Kincaid and Dwight were dressed in their smart clothes with the priest who was in his own black and white dress attire as they were waiting for the Bride to make her appearance. It wasn't long before Gail appeared, wearing a light green bridesmaid dress and another of her friends and one of Mark's relatives who made it for the wedding a day earlier, then the three were followed by the bride herself.
Sydney wore a white dress which hung by the shoulders and the skirt itself was short but good enough to show her heels. As she walked down the aisle alone, a couple violins were playing in the background to her march down to the altar. Sydney couldn't help but wish that her father had lived to at least march her down to the altar towards the man that she loved the most.
When she finally came up to the altar, standing side by side with her husband to be Mark, the priest standing in front of them then began the ceremony. But Sydney couldn't help but look at the rows of seats to make sure that there was no ghost face or someone who wanted to kill her or Mark. After seeing no killer around, only Kirby and her date coming in late for the wedding before she sat down.
Breathing a sigh, Sydney then turned back to Mark when the priest then spoke to her.
"Sydney Prescott. Would you take this man Mark kincaid to be your lawful wedded husband from this day forth? To love and to cherish through sickness and in health through all the days of your own life?"

Sydney smiled before she spoke. "Yes. I, Sydney Prescott do take thee Mark Kincaid as my lawfully wedded husband. I promise to love you and cherish you through all the days of my life."
Taking up a silver ring, she declared to Mark, "With this ring I thee wed."

Afterwards the priest turned to look at Mark and he spoke the same question.
"Mark Kincaid, would you take this woman Sydney Prescott, to be your lawful wedded wife from this day forth. To love and to cherish her through sickness and in health, for richer or poorer through all the days ahead and forsaking all others keep her only in your heart so long as you both shall live."

"I, Mark Kincaid do take thee Sydney Prescott to be my lawfully wedded wife, I promise to be there to protect you and to comfort you whenever you need me, I shall honour you, love you and cherish you through all the days of my life." said Mark, before he took up a ring and took Sydney's hand before he placed it on her finger. He declared. "With this ring, I thee wed."
Sydney marvelled on the ring that mark had in his hand for a short few seconds before she raised her eyes up to Mark.
When they looked to the priest, he then spoke out. "By the power vested in me by the Church and the state department of California, having witnessed the exchange of rings and vows. I hereby pronounce you husband and wife from this day forth. you may kiss he bride, congratulations."

With that, Sydney leaned forward at the same time Mark did the same. They kissed, before a round of applause followed after they were declared husband and wife.
After the wedding ceremony was all over, the reception followed with Sydney and Mark sharing their first dance on the dance floor whilst all of their friends watched for a short moment before joining in.
As everyone was drinking and dancing, Sydney wasn't the only one who was not drinking alcohol due to the fact that she's pregnant with her baby on the way. Gale was also not drinking as well because she and her husband Dewey had learnt something that had almost sent her husband fainting from shock.
It was only an hour into the evening when Sydney got the chance to take the mike, she spoke.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Thank you. I'd like to take this moment to share in my gratitude to you all for making it to my wedding ceremony, and to thank you all for the congrats. But there's one announcement that I'd like to make in honour of this special occasion, as you've all noticed i've not been drinking tonight so I shall tell you why. My husband Mark Kincaid and I are expecting our first born in the month of January or February next year.
So I can't tell you whether its a boy or a girl as we're leaving that as a surprise, I also want to say to my husband, its been a rough life for me but I'm glad that you came back into my life and helped me heal myself. I love you Mark Kincaid."

After that the applause followed whilst Mark stood up and whispered I love you too to Sydney, who then smiled at him and kissed his cheek. Soon enough the mike was passed to a few of Mark's friends before Gale was the one to take the mike, she stood up from her chair before she spoke.
"Thank you, Its been such a long time since i've held a mike in my job as a reporter, but i've also been a good friend to the bride since the beginning and i've come to love her like a sister and a true friend. So as she's made her announcement to the whole crowd, I would like to make an announcement of my own;
I've just found out that my husband and I are expecting a child as well as it just turned out, Anyways I wish you Sydney the best of luck in being a mother and hope that your child will have the life that's better than yours or mine, thank you and congrats."
A round of applause followed after she sat down and passed the mike onto Dewey who made his graduation speech short and sweet. After that the guests at the wedding enjoyed the rest of the night away.

A year later.

It had been a long time of healing for Sydney.
Now the proud mother of her newborn son, she was living a new life outside Woodsboro and living in a secluded apartment with her husband in Los Angeles. She named her son Randy Neil Kincaid, in honor of her father Neil Prescott and in memory of her friend Randy Meeks who was murdered by Billy loomis' mother sometime after surviving the Woodsboro massacre.
Her husband Detective mark Kincaid continued his work on the police force, working with homicide cases as well as helping Sydney to raise Randy in the resident area where there was less murderers there.
Sydney's friend Kirby Reed went on to a college in New york to study psychiatry and healing after she graduated from high school. She never looked back after moving away from Woodsboro and its nasty memories but more over, she also learnt that Gale Riley and her husband Sherriff Riley welcomed a daughter named Tatum Gale Riley, after her sister.
And among that, Dewey named Judy hicks as the godmother and named one of Gails friends named Freddie as the godfather whilst Gail has written a couple of new Novels which named Judy hicks as the heroine and another which was a self help book which was a big seller.

Life for Sydney and his friends went on for them for so long without any new killers or serial murderers to bother them or to cause trouble in their lives.

That's the end of the chapter for the story Scream 4; Aftermath.
