Neville nervously wrung his hands together as he paced back and forth while he waited for his girlfriend to arrive. He had made plans with Luna early in the week. The original plan was to go out to their favourite restaurant, but he quickly changed that plan and decided that staying at home was probably the better choice.

Neville heard the floo activate and he stooped his pacing and took a few steps forward to meet Luna as she effortlessly stepped out of the fireplace.

"Hello Neville" Luna said in her dreamy voice.

"Hi Luna" he squeaked out. Neville winced and nervously cleared his throat. He hoped that Luna couldn't tell that anxious and jumpy but deep down he knew his observant girlfriend was concerned about his strange behaviour.

After dinner Neville tried to work up his courage. He had one hand permanently in his pocket and wrapped out the small box it contained.

He could feel his heartbeat pick up and started to stutter out his question. Neville sighed in frustration, he had this long beautiful speech planned and he couldn't even form the words anymore. He pulled out the box, pried it open and quickly shouted, "Will you marry me!?" Neville winced and closed his eyes, his head bowed in shame.

"Yes" Luna's soft voice broke the silence that had descended. Neville's eyes shot open in surprise, he had been sure he had ruined that best thing in his life but when he locked eyes with the small blonde all he saw was love and happiness in her eyes. Neville broke out in a giant smile and carefully placed the ring on her finger. It fit perfectly.

Luna leaned forward, across the table, and pressed a soft kiss against her fiancées lips.
