Chapter 1 The First Day

Ben

It was a bright and beautiful day. I was walking to school. It was my first day of 9th grade. I was attending West High School. I lived only two blocks away so I walked each day. I could hear the birds singing their sweet songs of Spring.

Today is gonna be a good day, I said to myself.

Or so I thought.

When I got to school I went to my home room which was Mr. Reynolds. I walked in and he looked up from a clipboard with a piece of paper on it.

"Why hello, Benjamin Tennyson," Mr. Reynolds said with a smile.

"You can just call me Ben," I replied. I didn't like people calling me by my full first name.

"Okay I'll keep that as a mental note," he said as he tapped his head with his pencil.

Good, not a bad teacher this year, I thought.

I sat at the desk that Mr. Reynolds pointed at for me to sit in. I was looking through my pencil case to find a pencil when I felt a light punch on my arm.

"What's up, doofus?" Gwen asked with a smirk on her face.

"What? Why are you in my home room?" I asked, now agitated. Not again.

"You think I picked to be in your home room?" she replied.

"Ugh, where do you sit?" I asked.

"Right here," she set her stuff down next to me.

"Oh great," I sighed. This is gonna be a great year.

Gwen

Why do I have to sit next to him? I thought as I sat at my desk.

I was reading a book while waiting for class to start, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone sit next to me. I raised my head to see who it was. It was a girl who had shoulder length blonde hair and two pink streaks in it. She had the most beautiful brown eyes I had ever seen. They were soft and gentle, yet dark and mysterious. She was checking her phone and looked over at me. We were staring at each other for a while. My cheeks turned pink. Wait, do I have a crush on this girl? She is kind of cute, and I am a lesbian. Maybe I do. But is she a lesbian too? I have no clue.

She was wearing blue jean shorts with a white cropped T-shirt that had a pink heart in the middle. She tied a red and black flannel shirt around her waist, and was wearing black and white Nike shoes. She looked beautiful.

Sarah

I sat down at my desk and started looking at my phone. My best friends were texting on the group chat. Mainly Lily who was also in this class. I felt a pair of eyes staring at me. I looked up to see Gwen Tennyson staring at me with pink cheeks. I know Gwen because I've seen her all over the news.

Wow, she is really cute. I thought to myself. Do I have a crush on Gwen? Maybe I do, but I don't know if she is a lesbian also. And what if she thinks I'm weird? Ugh.

Ben nudged her and she looked away. I could hear him faintly say, "Aw someone likes Sarah."

"Stop it!" Gwen whisper shouted at Ben. Her cheeks turned even more pink when she noticed that I was still staring at her. My cheeks turned pink and I smiled.

I looked at the doorway just in time to see Lily come in. She sat right in front of me.

"Lily!" I said happily.

"Hey!" She hugged me really tight.

"How was your summer?" I asked.

"Good! I loved going to Paris!" she replied. "Which reminds me: I got you a little something," she said with a smirk on her face.

"What?" I asked excitedly.

"Close your eyes, and hold out your hands."

I did as she said. I felt something being placed in my hand.

"Open!" She said.

I opened my eyes and in my hands was a personalized magnet in the shape of the Eiffel Tower and it said, "Do what you love and be who you are, because that's the Sarah I know and love, and you're perfect just the way you are. Love, Lily."

"Oh my god, awww thank you so much Lily, you're the best!" I hugged her super tight.

I saw Ben looking at Lily.

"Looks like you have an admirer," I said in a lovey-dovey kind of way.

"Who?" Lily asked.

"Ben," I said, smirking.

"Oh," she said, her cheeks turned pink. I just grinned.

RRRRIIIIINNNNNGGGG

"Ok class if I could have you all in your seats and phones awa…" Mr. Reynolds was cut off by a loud boom and a rumble on the ground. I looked out the window to see Kevin coming full charge right at us. He broke through the wall and looked directly at Ben.

"Give me the Omnitrix, Tennyson. This is your last chance," Kevin demanded.

"Not over my dead body," Ben yelled. "It's hero time!" Ben smacked the Omnitrix which made Ben WildMutt. He charged at Kevin but Kevin punched him. Ben went flying into the wall.

"Ben!" me, Gwen and Lily said simultaneously.

"Okay no one messes with Ben, except me!" Gwen shouted. She shot magic out of the palm of her hand at Kevin, which made Kevin launch backwards into the chalkboard. He flung diamond crystals at Gwen who jumped out of the way just in time, but hit a desk.

"No one hurts my friends and gets away with it!" I yelled.

I felt my body start to change. I was taking form of a Petrosapien. I shot diamond crystals at Kevin who deflected them with his crystalline arm. I ran up to him with one of my hands a sharp blade. I tried to slice off one of his arms but he stopped me. Kevin was a lot stronger than I was, and was pushing on my arms, causing me to use all the strength I had to not fall under his weight.

"Yo Lily, a little help here?" I asked.

"Coming right up!" she said and I saw her take form as a Tetramand. She came up to Kevin and started punching him left and right. He fell backward and I changed both of my hands to blades.

Wildmutt and Gwen were just watching us in shock. Then Wildmutt came running towards us and knocked Kevin flat on the ground. Kevin didn't move at all; he was out cold.

We started hearing that dreaded sound of when the Omnitrix times out. Soon enough Ben was standing on Kevin's stomach.

"How did you two do that?" He asked looking amazed. We both changed back to ourselves and exchanged glances.

"My dad was Petrosapien and my mom was human, my mom was a plumber and met my dad while they were searching for a different alien. My dad helped them defeat the alien and they stayed together ever since," I said looking at Gwen whose jaw was practically touching the ground.

"My dad was a plumber and my mom was a Tetramand. And the same thing happened with them as Sarah's parents met," Lily said.

"That's so cool! I thought Ben was the only one that could turn into those aliens!" Gwen said looking at me. My cheeks turned pink and I smiled.

"So what do we do with Kevin over here?" I asked.

"I have no clue," Ben said.

We saw the Rust Bucket pulling up by the curb. Max got out and said, "Ben, Gwen, Sarah, Lily! School was cancelled, come on! We need to talk."

"What do we do with Kevin?" Ben shouted to his grandpa.

"Just leave him there," Max called back.

"What? He'll get away!" Gwen yelled.

"Fine, load him in the trunk we'll take him down to the prison at the old plumber station."
