I do not - nor will I ever - own Sword Art Online.

There are some things in life you can never prepare for.

Unfortunately, being asked (read: voluntold) by my commanding officer to investigate a potentially hazardous equipment called "Full Dive", then subsequently being trapped in my game of choice, qualfies as one such situation. I was not a happy customer, thank you very much. When I get my hands on Kayaba, I will beat the ever living SHIT out of him.

Anyways, back to the present; I'm just standing here, in the Town of Beginning, watching the populace scramble like rats. I can't move. I don't think it's quite sunk in yet.

Oh my God, I'm gonna die. Gonnadiegonnadiewe'reallgonnafuckin-I'm finally snapped out of my plummeting train of thought by one of the rioting people slamming bodily into me and throwing the both of us to the cobbled street. By the time I get my wits about me, they've already run off. I spot an alley a few yards away and make a beeline for it.

There's a wooden crate shoved up against the side of one of the buildings and I use it to climb onto the roof. I take this moment to survey the area and figure out a plan to survive.I'm gonna have to grind a shit-ton to have even a flicker of hope for survival.

I make my way to the plains outside the city walls. I heft my halberd and swing it at a Frenzy Boar, knocking an eighth off its health bar. Another seven strikes kills it and I pick up the 1-Col drop, then check my EXP. A meager 0.70%. As I swing at a new target, I despair at how long and tedious this is going to be.

I'm really starting to regret accepting this assignment.
