It was the first time that James travelled with the bus and it was strange. It was not that different but there were so many weird people on the bus. Some of the people read a book or something similar, talked to their friends or just stared out of the window. Lily sat next to him and looked at him sometimes.

"You know, if you continue to look at everyone like you do now...they might think you're strange."

She chuckled and put away her book. James looked at her and smirked. Well, he was different after all and he did not care about what the muggles in the bus would think about him.

"As if I care. I could always use a little spell so don't worry. But you know that this is a whole new world for me. I'm not used to be in the muggle part. But...well, it could be worse I guess. And it's interesting to learn something new every day."

James smirked and leaned back just to put his arm around her shoulder. She rolled with her eyes but did not push him away. It felt...comfortable. They spent ten minutes without saying anything until she felt something on her leg. She looked down at the hand before she looked at Prongs.

"Your hand is on my leg."

He flinched and put his hand away. A blush covered his cheeks and avoided her eyes.

"S-sorry! I just thought...you know, that you would like it. So everyone knows that you are mine."

Lily did not know if it was cute or bad but she just punched him lightly and smiled.

"Get up, we have to get out soon."

Without waiting for him she got up and went to the door. James followed her and helped her out as soon as the door opened. Next day they would use the bicycle and she would show him around her home town. Prongs really enjoyed the muggle world and he would definitely spend some more time with Lily. It was also a good way to get closer to her and maybe they would be more than just friends soon.
