Deep within the lair of the Monarch, henchman number 24 lay on his bed flipping through a magazine, trying to enjoy the small amount of free time he was allowed. As a professional henchman, he never knew when he would be called up for some crazy assignment by his employer, the Mighty Monarch. As usual in this place, he had only just started the magazine when he heard a knock at the door. He sighed audibly but then said "Who is it?"

"Who do you think?" Came the very distinct voice of henchman number 21. "Open up, I have something you'll defently want to see."

"I doubt that." 24 muttered to himself, but still put the magazine down so he could open the door.

21 strutted into the room carrying two envelopes with him. "They finally arrived!" he said and tossed one down on 24's lap. "This could very well be the best day of both of our lives."

"What are you talking about?" 24 asked but 21 just pointed to the letter. The seal on the envelope said the 'Guild of Calamitous Intent'. "What did you do?" he asked suspiciously.

"Oh, nothing. Except the best thing ever!" 21 said excitedly. "Just open it up already."

24 slit open the envelope and pulled out the paper inside. Surprisingly enough, the letter was actually addressed to him. He read through it and his expression turned from confusion to disbelief. "No way, you didn't. You couldn't have."

'Congratulations Mr. or Ms. Number 24 on your acceptance into the Guild. We are excited to see what you can bring to the world of professional villainy. During the next 4-6 weeks we will assign you and your team your very own arch rival. Please fill out form G2-31 and G3-51 included into your packet to apply for special aid and whether you feel the need for headquarter insurance. Signed, The Soverign.'

"Yep, we are now officially licensed as arch villains!"

"Are you insane?"

"I still have the jet packs and the uniforms in my room. We can totally do this!"

"Sure but…no way! What about the Monarch? If he found out about this he'd kill us both. And not quickly." 24 glanced over his letter again. "Arch rival?"

"Well sure, we can't be very good arch villains without a rival can we?"

"Are you forgetting that the Monarch will totally kill us? " He tapped the letter. "Don't they know that we are henchman?"

"Well, not after I gave them the fake IDs, they think we are the real deal."

"You what?" 24 stared at his partner in disbelief. "So they don't know that we already work for the Monarch?"

"No, there's something in the henchman charter that says that we can't be actual arch villains, so I had to use the fake IDs to do it."

"So, let me see if I have your entire insane plan down. You want to become arch villains while at the same time continue to be henchman to the Monarch?"

"You're worrying too much." 21 said cheekily. "I still have the jetpacks and uniforms. It will not be long before Jetboy and Jetgirl take to the sky!"

24 just groaned in exasperation "Those names still suck!"
