A/N: ok guyz, I no I havent been on here forever. And I'm really sry for that. But for now, this is gonna be a one shot. It's also my first song/fic. And my other story "All it Took was a Little Time" I have like given up. I might continue, but I'm not sure.
A/N2: This scene was where Reba and Brock just told Kyra they're getting a divorce. Pretend it wasn't because of Barbra Jean and Kyra is over the drinking age. (Think that's 21)
"Kyra honey, are you okay with the divorce?" Reba asked her most edgy daughter. "We tried baby doll, we really did." Brock said with concern in her eyes. He could see the tears beginning to form in her daughters eyes. It hurt him that Kyra was going to be so broken by this but he knew it was for the best.
"Just leave me alone!" Kyra cried out when she couldn't keep in the tears any longer. She ran out the door and into her car. She began driving as fast as she could obliviously. Soon, she began to cool off and realized how much chaos she was creating. Cars were weaving in and out trying to avoid getting hit by her. She took a deep breath and calmly parked nearby a bar. She got out of the car and headed inside.
The bar was packed with people. They were all laughing and dancing. It made Kyra's heart ache that those people were happy unlike her. From the minute her mom and dad started having problems, happiness just wasn't in store for her. As she thought about her miserable life, the song that was playing ended. The DJ was asking for volunteers to sing. Kyra headed for the stage and started to sing. It was a song she heard many times on the radio and didn't realize how much it related to her.
Mama
moved out
Daddy sold the house
They split up the money
And
went on their way
And
all the king's horses
and all the kings men
Couldn't put mama
and daddy back together again
With
these words, Kyra took a shaky breath. Hearing the whole bar silent,
absorbed by her sound made her go on.
Starting
over again
Where should they begin
'Cause they've never been
out on their own
Starting over again
Where do you begin
When
your dreams are all shattered
and the kids are all grown
And
the whole word cries
He got an apartment
She moved in with
her sisters
He's schemin' big deals with one of his friends
While
she sits at home
Sortin' out pieces
Of left over memories from
thirty odd years
Starting over again
Where do you
begin
When you've never been out on your own
Starting over
again
Never any end
What will the neighbors say
They're
talkin' talk it's small town news
They're facing fifty years old
wrecking up a happy home
And this far down the road
You find
yourself alone
Two fools
Starting over again
Where do you
begin
When you've never been out on your own
Starting over
again
Never any end
When your dreams are all shattered
And
the kids are all grown
And the whole world cries
And all
the kings horses
And all the kings men
Couldn't put mama and
daddy back together again
When the last note faded, the bar exploded. For a little moment, Kyra's heart soared with happiness. For a few minutes, the whole bar knew how she felt and she liked it that way.
A/N: So what did you think? Should I continue? All reviews are welcome.
