At the end of Ward we saw that Weld's power was altered during the fight with the Titans but we never saw the specifics of it. Lung, inexplicably continued to survive everything that was thrown at him...But now he gets to learn about the downside of having a metal body.

A comic needs to be more than just a story and some pictures. It needs to have a soul. That may not be needed literally, but if you could enter your own comic book, as your own character, and live through all the epic stuff you can think of, what else is there to do but go on this crazy ride? Commission! - Most people's powers manifest in ways easy to understand and easy to use. Things like super strength, shooting lasers and walking through walls were the norm. Taylor, however, was stuck working with beakers and weird texts that range from the strange, to the weird, to the wonderful, then back to the weird. At least she hasn't gotten as bad as Myrrdin... yet.
