Set during the Season 1 episode, "Read The Mind, See The Movie". This is a short story that takes place after Maddie and David jump off of Omar Gaust's roof into his pool. Here's a little banter in the car while David drives her home.

This story picks up when Maddie leaves David standing in the laundromat in "A Trip To The Moon". What were they thinking and feeling that night? Is it possible they had one more very important conversation before Maddie decided to leave?

This story takes place after the events of "It's A Wonderful Job" and my story, "Jolly Ol' Saint Dave". Essentially David and Maddie shared a couple of kisses and then each went their own way for winter hiatus. Maddie is in Chicago. David is in Philadelphia. This story brings them together, but do things go well? Probably not if you consider the beginning of "The Straight Poop".

Inspired by the scene in "I Am Curious… Maddie" when David tells Maddie he loves her. We, the viewer, don't hear him because they played music over it, but we can very clearly see when he says it. These are their thoughts during that scene and throughout the night.

Christmas Eve 1989 is not going how Maddie planned. Will an impromptu run-in with David turn her holiday bright?

This is a Christmas story that begins where the Moonlighting episode "It's A Wonderful Job" ends. In other words, it begins with Maddie and David kissing on a desk in the front office.

Season 5 Background Story #5 out of 15. The day after David and Maddie's seemingly successful night at the California Investigator's Annual Banquet and Ball, the Anselmo case resurfaces and David finally comes clean with Maddie about Rita.

David finds out Maddie witnessed a murder and may still be in danger. Considering the current state of their relationship, what position is he in to do anything about it? A little angsty piece, set mid-"Eine Kleine Nacht Murder".

Season 5 background story #4 out of 15. Based on a story concept from Boink at MoonlightingStrangers. After disrupting their New Year's evening plans, can David make it up to Maddie when they finally attend the California Investigators Association Annual Banquet and Ball together for the first time?

Season 5 background story #3 out of 15. Inspired by an Available Concept by Boink from Moonlighting Strangers. Just as David and Maddie are preparing for a romantic New Year's weekend together, he is forced by a resurfacing "personal matter" to disrupt their plans.

Maddie is left with the chaos that is her house after the happenings in 'Eine Kleine Nacht Murder'. The entire ordeal of being almost killed makes her stop and think. Will David be on her mind?

David has a dream, which propels him to try to fix his relationship with Maddie once and for all. Set immediately after Lunar Eclipse.

The first time we see Sam Crawford, he's spending the night at Maddie's house. But what were the circumstances that led him to be there that night? We know he was her childhood friend, but what else is there to know about Sam? This is a background story to the Sam-arc, told from Sam's point-of-view.

Sequel to Little Problem Annie. Still reeling from losing the baby and David's involvement with Annie, David and Maddie agree to spend time apart with the hope to rebuild their relationship. Maddie's parents think they're engaged and when David comes to Chicago for a summer party, they have to rollplay to keep up appearances. Will it bring them together or will it be over for good?

A twist on Big Man On Mulberry Street. What would have happened if David hadn't left Maddie's hotel room after telling her about his marriage?

Season 5 background story #15 out of 15. This story begins where the Moonlighting series ends, with Maddie and David sitting on the altar in the Church. David is so despondent that he has no words, and Maddie is unsure of what to do now that the show has been canceled. Do Maddie and David ever get the happy ending they so deserve?

When friendship turns into love, love can turn into jealousy. How do David and Maddie handle their jealousy?

What if Moonlighting ended differently?

Season 5 background story #14 out of 15. Someone shows up... a catalyst, who ignites what may be the romantic reconciliation of Maddie and David. The timing of this story would be mid-Lunar Eclipse… after Agnes and Bert's wedding, but before the Blue Moon staff is informed by the ABC executive that the show has been cancelled.

Season 5 background story #13 out of 15. It is the follow-up to "Dancing on Eggshells", and it is a story that is meant to give greater depth to the dreaded "Annie Arc" EKNM episode. It begins two days before Maddie witnesses a murder in the parking garage. It is told from Maddie's point-of-view.

Story #12 out of 15. This begins the day after David leaves Maddie alone on his bed, while he goes running out after Annie. It's a Wednesday, a regular workday. With everything going on in their personal lives, David and Maddie still have a job to do. When a client shows up needing their help, can Maddie and David put their differences aside and help this woman find her lost love?
