Alright, don't ask me what caused this. Yay for flashbacks!

This is kind of AU, Shane and Nate never knew each other and Camp Rock never existed. Okay kiddies?

Disclaimer: I don't own Nate, Tess, Shane or a car.

"I do."

"You may now kiss the bride."

I watched Shane kiss Tess and the smiles on their faces when they pulled away.

After eight long years she finally moved on. I still remember the first time we met.

(Flashback)

"I'm Tess!" A little seven year old girl said and plopped down next to me,

"Hiya! I'm Nate!" I said with a smile plastered on my little innocent face. "Wanna color with me?"

"Sure!"

(End flashback)

From that moment on we were inseparable. Me and Tess did everything together and eventually I fell in love with her. I smiled to myself at the memory of me confessing my love.

(another Flashback)

"Tess, I have something to tell you…" I started and sat down on our favorite bench at the park.

"Okay Nate, what do you want to tell me." She said simply and sat down next to me.

I took her hand and thought about how cliché this whole thing was. "I'm in love with you." I blurted out and looked her in the eyes.

"Geez! Took you long enough!" She replied and pressed her pink lips against mine then pulled away. "And I love you too!"

(End flashback)

We were happy, so happy. It felt as though nothing could go wrong. Until that day…

(Last flashback, I PROMISE!)

"Nate!! Where are we going??" Tess whined in the passenger seat of my car.

"It's a surprise! No matter how hard you beg, I will NOT tell you!" I replied with a smile and looked at her.

"OH MY GOD NICK!" She screamed pointing ahead to the road.

A car was heading towards us full speed and we were on a one way road.

"FUCK!" I screamed knowing there was no way out and just held Tess close to me so she wouldn't get hurt.

I felt the impact of the car against my back and screamed.

The last thing I remember was her saying 'Please don't die Nate, I love you' then blackness.

(End Flashback)

I wanted her to be happy. I was thankful that Shane came along to stitch the wounds I caused.

Now the only thing I could do was hope that the scars would fade.

This is kind of sloppy but I'm not very good at writing.
