Violet buckled into the car - in the middle, as her cousins were on either side.
She was just grinning from ear to ear. Staying with more cousins that night, it was the happiest she'd ever felt.
Despite the fact the it was midnight and still ticking. Everyone was tired.

Ilyas, her older cousin driving had no idea what she meant, and the other three had to say, "iPod Shuffle" until he got it.

She eventually found it and started unwinding it triumphantly. Ilyas took his eyes off the road and said, "Aha, you found it!"
Andrew was all, "Seriously, a Shuffle?" from Violet's right, and pulled out his Nano.

He asked to borrow her earphones, and he took the right ear. "Here," he said, and opened up some podcasts.
She kept the left ear, and he opened up some cartoons called, "Happy Tree Friends". They began to watch, Violet leaning on Andrew to see the screen, and Lliam watching over her shoulder.

They were awesome. Gore and stuff. She knew that they shared her bloodthirsty nature, but this was just awesome.

Later, when everyone was quiet and Lliam was or pretending to sleep, Violet whispered to Andrew, "You know that guy I told you about? Not a factor any more. He's a *swear*."

Andrew squeezed her, and she smiled.
"You know, the whole night, we never got a picture together."
He looked at her face. "That's true."

She brought out her camera, grinning.
They attempted a couple, what with Ilyas' driving and their drowsiness to compete with.

They got a decent shot, and she smiled when she saw it.
"Thanks," she whispered.

And when they parted about an hour later, she did a three way hug with Andrew and Lliam. And she couldn't be happier.
