Chapter One: Say Anything, Do Something

Tonight, TNA was airing. Although, I wasn't fighting anyone; Christian was. He and Rhyno were tag-teaming against Tomko and Kurt. I was just waiting backstage for him.

I texted Eric as I stood by the curtains. I wanted to waste some time, so I thought bringing up a conversation with him would do. I mean, might as well, then rather be bored. Christian was still getting ready so I kept myself occupied for the time being. But zoning out in my texting, I was oblivious to everything around me. And when I felt a large hang land on my shoulder, I jumped a little, not expecting it.

"Whoa, hey, relax there, AJ! Haha!" a voice behind me chuckled. I turned around and spotted a familiar brunette.

"Oh, hey Shelley." I greeted him.

He was still laughing a bit at my first reaction. "Hey, haha, what's up?"

"Nothing, just texting Eric and waiting for Christian." I informed him. "You?"

"Preparing for mine and Sabin's match." he replied. He made a confused face and then looked around. "Speaking of which; where is Christian?"

"Still getting ready."

"Oh, I see." he said, simply nodding. "How's living with Christian going?"

To make things easier, Christian and I decided we'd move in together in one apartment. It'd save money and other stuff. That happened a couple months ago.

"Pretty good, although Tomko's been over a little more than I can handle." I replied.

Aaaaaaand he also knows about my ... sexuality. But, Alex isn't afraid of me being gay. He's actually pretty comfortable with that fact. That's why Alex is one of my closest and most best friends; because he's so accepting. He honestly isn't like most men or people in this company.

"Christian and Tomko have been seeing each other?" Alex said.

"Yeah, unfortunately..." I said, almost in a low voice. I swallowed hard just at the thought of them together. It sucks, big time.

"And you haven't said anything?"

"What can I say? 'Oh, Christian, I don't like your boyfriend because I'm madly in love with you. So, he needs to leave.'? As much as I want it to," I said. "it doesn't work that way."

He put a hand on my shoulder. "Well, you gotta do something or else you're definitely going to end up heart-broken."

And as he walked away, giving me that 'You know I'm right' look, I thought for a second. Then I told myself...

...maybe he's right.
