Everything is Falling Apart

Disclaimer: I do not own Camp Rock

Author Notes: This is they extended version of Family Portrait from my Music Shuffle Challenge, Radio. I plan on going back and extending a few of the oneshots, and I plan or writing a few more in my spare time. I may or may not continue with this one. It depends on the kind of response I get from it. Also, this takes place sometime after Camp Rock.

She stood alone, watching as her father hauled his bags out to his car. Her hands were stuffed onto the pockets of her designer sweater, and her head hung, looking down at the ground. She tried to recall the first signs of her fathers unhappiness. Was it when he lost his job? Or maybe when her mother started to go on extended tours. Her head snapped up as the door of her father's Hummer slammed shut. The day had finally come, her father was moving on.

Tess tried to stifle the tears as she watched him peal out of the driveway and away from his family. He never even said goodbye. She slowly turned her back to the street and trudged inside her house. She pushed open the door, and kicked off her sandals. Her mother sat on the couch, mascara and tears were streaming down her face.

"This is all your fault." Her mother sniffled. "Your father always wanted a son." She threw her daughter a look of pure disgust. "Why couldn't you have been born as a boy. Like we had planned."

Tess was shocked. Her mother had never spoken to her like this, ever. Before the tears could fall she turned back to the door, and she did the only thing she could think of. Tess Tyler ran.

She flew across the street, narrowly avoiding being hit by a pickup truck, and she headed straight for the park. The sun was setting, and the air held a cool breeze. She tried to pull her sweater tighter around her body. She barely realized she had forgotten her shoes at home.

When she reached the park, Tess avoided the crowed areas, and made her way towards the pond. Her blond hair was in tangles as she came to a stop at the shore line. She wiped away the tears as she stared at her image, her necklace shimmered in the reflection. She ripped off the gold necklace, the one her father had given her for her tenth birthday, and she held it in her palm. She closed her hand into a fist, and she threw it as far as she could manage into the still water, and stared at the rippling water as the necklace sank.

"I hate you" She spat into the water, letting the tears fall freely this time. She sank to her knees, and the uncontrollable sobs took over. Even if she couldn't admit it, she missed her father already.

"Why did you have to leave me?"
